It is freaky, I know. I’ll be in the middle of a dream and think, “this is boring, let’s try….”
I have no idea how I do it, or if that is even a good thing. What’s even more bizarre about it, is that I actually remember doing it and can share this with people. Most people don’t recollect their dreams, much less recollect what I do… strange, I know.
Not sure if this had been posted but Keith Law ranked the recent MLB draft. His Top Five were:
1. Arizona
2. Minnesota
3. Boston
4. Colorado
5. San Francisco
His Bottom Five were:
1. Toronto
2. NY Mets
3. Texas
4. Tampa Bay
5. Atlanta
This is what he had to say about Atlanta:
Mike Minor at No. 7 overall was a huge reach, and Atlanta — normally one of the strongest and shrewdest-drafting teams — went ultra-conservative; the Braves didn’t take a player under the age of 21 until the seventh round, and their second pick, David Hale, had lousy results in a bad conference the past two springs despite plus stuff. Atlanta, like the other four teams on this “worst” list, spent under $4 million in the top 10 rounds in a year in which the median figure was around $5 million, and after overpaying Minor, they didn’t give anyone more than Hale’s $405,000.
HeathWhen I have dreams, I can control them and I can control which dreams I actually have.
Dang! I wish I had that mind power! Sometimes my dreams will change randomly in the middle of one, but I have no control over it unless I’m half awake…
Wish I could control ‘em, though…then I wouldn’t dream about plays at the plate so much!
Tokyo Brave, Not to much going on, but here’s a good wrap up of todays MILB Braves games.
AAA: Brooks Conrad went 3-5 with a HR and Clint Sammons went 2-4 with 2 solo shots in Gwinnett’s 7-4 win
AA: Heyward went 1 for 5 with a solo shot, Freeman 0-5.
A: Brandon Beachy gave up 2 runs with 7 K’s and 2 BB’s in Myrtle Beach’s 1st game of a doubleheader. 1B Gerardo Rodriguez hit his 18th HR of the season in game two. Rome did not play
Rookie: Lefty Chris Masters continues to dominate with Danville, giving up a respectable 1 run in 5 innings with 7 K’s and 2 BB’s bring his K/BB to 71/6 with a 1.69 ERA.
Tomahawkin…….Shawn Green flamed out. The Dodgers gave him that huge contract and the Mets were foolish enough to trade for him. He wouldnt have been in the big leagues his last 2 years if he wasnt under contract for so much money. Dude lost a lot of power the last 4 or 5 years of his career.
Hell, there’s still some Cardinal fans still upset about losing the 85 WS that year to the Royals, and *The Call* by Don Dekinger(sp) on the safe call on Jorge Orta.
Oh well…….$#@! happens. All I know is…I wasn’t too upset with that series….(LOL).
I do have dreams about games – baseball, basketball, football if I don’t know the outcome before I go to bed. Like if the Braves are playing on the west coast and I can’t finish the game, I’ll dream about the outcome.
Oh, and I am working on finding the last time BMac had two hit in one inning (if ever)…hard to do that and watch the game at the same time, though, since the TV and computer are in differ’nt rooms and other people want to use the computer at times…
But I’ve gone through 2006. Found a game where he made two outs in one inning–July 16th, 2006 against the Padres. He made outs 1 and 3. He did hit a 3-run homer in that game, though. Braves won 10-5.
I’m definitely a KJ fan simply because of all the heat he has taken from the blog for being a team player. BMac is slumping and a lot of people are on him because he has not produced in the clean up slot. Same thing happened with KJ in the leadoff position. He just kept his mouth shut and lead off because we didn’t have anyone else – he took one for the team.
Then KJ gets DLed for his wrists (both received cortisone injections) and no Prado lovers would even acknowledge he had an injury. Just that he was no good and should be released.
Martin had a great deal to do with the Braves success and should be the starter for now. But he has come back to earth. It was ironic that SteveOH asked about his stats and I still had them written down from yesterday when I looked them up.
Oh, and by the way, I spent about 30 minutes one day writing in Martin Prado for the All Star game.
Efrim–yep, I saw that. Still fired up that we didn’t go for 500K more and get Shelby Miller.
Steve from OH, I’m heated we spent under 4 million on the Rule IV draft, yet I didn’t see any significant international signings. But hey, it’s not my money. I just hope they spend more next year. They’ll most likely have more picks in the first three rounds(plus supplemental), so I’d expect them to spend quite a bit more.
Damn D.O.B. it seems like the Planes From LaGuardia are louder than they were at Shea…They Must’ve built Bailout Ballpark more in line with the Flight path of LaGuardia…?

Tomahawkin………..I have no doubt that Shawn Green (and a majority of Major Leaguers) used HGH or some form of steroids. Dude definitely wasnt a 49 homer kind of guy.
HGH not only helps with muscle recovery during weight lifting, but it also helps with reflexes and being able to see better. You dont have to be “bulky” to hit home runs. If you have quick hips and wrists, you can hit home runs.

Lately at my house it’s not been spiders but scorpions. Sat down in the bathroom one night and there on the wall was one of the small Georgia scorpions. Hey, I’m a Scorpio, but I do NOT relate to my sign critter.

We need to make our WC move this weekend. We play the Marlins while the Rockies play the Giants. If we win then we will gain on two teams.

Good news on Prado DOB, good to know its not something serious.
Soriano finishes it up, on to the highly anticipated KK and Santana rematch.
