He’s allowed more than seven hits just twice in 15 starts this season. Has a .227 opponents’ average.
Oh, and he has a 1.84 road ERA and .203 road opponents’ average.

btw… is ESPN the Phillies broadcast team or something? Either they’re in love with the Phillies, or they hate the Braves…
…And god damnit! This Phillies team is the luckiest team alive. Everything the Braves hit, is hit right at them… everything goes so ”perfect” for them (except when Lidge’s on the mound) … I cant hate the Phillies more than i do, that stupid Howard, freaking Utley, idiot Werth, arrogant Pestorino and the walking mouth Rollins… AAARRRGGGGHHH!!

If Happ is not that hittable, then the Braves are looking like the best offensive team in the majors, cause they are making the guy look bad. He has been as lucky as a man can be……odds are, he wont keep his luck for 3 more innings.

I know Garrett is slow but to be fair to him on that one McCann smoked that ball and it hit right off the wall and Werth came up firing. Because of how hard he hit it I was hoping it would go over the wall because I knew it would be hard to score on that hit. Of course the Espn guys said Victorino could score but he just happens to be one of the fastest guys in the league, he can score on stuff that a lot of other players can’t.

I’m betting Bobby did not like being thrown at 50 pounds and 8 inches ago when he played for the Yankees therefore he doesn’t like that stuff. Happ doesn’t look that good, at all. I see 87-89 touching 92 with below average secondary stuff. They have an incredible defense. They can make a lot of pitchers look good.

I actually don’t mind if espn loves the phillies, mets, yankees, or red sox more than they love the Braves. The reason is that it makes it so much sweeter when those teams lose and they are forced to talk about us. I must say I enjoyed watching the Red Sox lose today on TBS. Yeah the Yankees are winning now but i’m hoping they fall flat on their face like the cubs did in the postseason last year.

Phillies do seem to be lucky.
As far as patience goes, someone mentioned on the broadcast that some braves hitters said that the plan is to get to Happ early in the count on fastballs. If that’s true, this could be a short night.

We can beat Cy Happ Tonight if we do the following things…
1) Stop swinging for the Fences, Nuff Said we are not in Philly! It seems like with the big crowds our hitters keep swinging for the fences trying to impress cause everyone knows that Chicks dig the longball
2) Make Cy Happ Work! Work the counts so that we can get our licks against Chan Ho Park and his Posse!

I’m guessing Chipper went up there looking for a certain pitch and thought he got it, problem is he didn’t and grounded into a DP. The results suck but if there is one thing we have learned about this offense this year is that they are agressive. I know I would rather them be less agressive but that is not really going to happen the majority of time with this team.

Thats the thing with him. You know he’s got pure power and could kill a ball, but he also has holes in his swing, thats why he strikes out so much. If he tags you for a homerun its usaully because the pitcher messed up but if you hit your spots like Gonzo did yesterday he’s taking a seat.
