Nice catch by Victorino.
Good time for a beer shower
I hate Shane Victorino…just like n.Morgan is a little pesky fly..ugh!
Chop It Up All-Stars
Man, this is a DEEP Braves lineup!! I love it!!
Wait…you mean Mark Grace and that other guy aren’t gonna do the game tomorrow? Dangit…
August 14th, 20098:05 pm
No McCarver on Saturday? Really?
RF Werth is really playing over in L-C and more shallow than you’d think he should for such a pull hitter with power….
victorino is a hell of a pain in the arse, a real good player. two good pops on the ball, 2 outs
Do not EVER say that again…
Joe just mentioned LaRoche, McLouth and Church are Phillie killers. Nice tidbit of info.
Hmm….Marlins up on the Rockies 2-0…..beauty of that game is that someone has to lose!
Stay hot Roachy!
August 14th, 20098:06 pm
off topic but neftali perez would have looked good in a bullpen with moylan gonzo and sori. the guys arent bad but nobody throws 100 like that kid can
LaRoche with a hit…my my my…
[cough cough] Cleanup! [cough cough]
As I hit submit comment on that last one, ‘Rochy pulled it, but didn’t get all of it, else it’s to the wall for an easy double where Werth was playing.
anybody hear what Joe just mentioned?… bout Nate, LaRoche and Church all being Phillies killers? Interesting theory.
Too many Philly fans there.
August 14th, 20098:07 pm
Brian the Brain: whatever you all do, DO NOT buy turkey pepperoni.
You are right about Chip. I want to like him too, the whole family legacy thing. I just can’t do it.
our lineup has become pretty deep and dangerous throughout
well, Church wasn’t a Philly killer in that at bat. oh well.
I just cannot like Cox as a Manager, Mclouth leads off with a double, and he decides to sacrifice the teams hottest bat, and in the end he does not move him over. My problem with that is that Prado could drive him in or hit behind him and move him over so why sacrifice him. HE MANAGES THE SAME way in every situation, little wonder we cannot win the big games.
August 14th, 20098:08 pm
Thanks for the link, whoever that was..
Turkey pepperoni? THAT is disgusting…
Great work there Ryan.
Come JJ, 1-2-3.
I thought GA hit his ball way out and then I thought Yunel’s ball was going to be a bloop single. Very odd.
Keep hitting Braves.
Laroche should just pretend April and may are late august, and he can sign where ever he wants too.

Only real improvement would be if McCann got his crap together and if Bobby would put Esco in the 4-hole. Right McFann?

DOB and other movie fans, anyone seen District 9? I would definitely recommend it. It may be the best pound for pound (considering it cost 30-35 mil to make) movie of the year.
And oh yeah..sweep the philth out of turner field this weekend !!
heath…i wouldnt be upset with those developments
For the season, LaRoche came into this game batting .339 with a .624 slugging percentage in 51 home games, and .180 with a .307 slugging percentage in 52 road games.
Before being traded to the Braves, he had hit just .159 with a .287 slugging percentage in 45 road games, and had one homer and nine RBI in his last 26 road games.
Since the trade, he’s hit hit .320 (8-for-25) with a homer and four RBIs in seven road games.
Heath, thats a great feed, Thanks!!!!!!!!
Braves fans should one up the Cubs fans and throw themselves on Victorino, that way you can actually claim that they tripped.
August 14th, 20098:11 pm
It is one game at a time, but they have to bear down to win every one as we need a sweep.
blanton’s not fooling anyone, hes going to give up some runs tonight

Video of the Game
Anyone got audio for the game, that link is just video
We’re all on the same page MurphyRules, AndyC. Steady dose of Loud premature fly ball screams, Cubs, and every hit is fisted. How is he not receiving unemployment checks?
JJ is nasty….looks effortless so far
Loaf is gonna be mad at Rollins for making him go after the balls ~_~
August 14th, 20098:13 pm
p2p4u.net is both audio and video
We might need a sweep, but the main focus should be to avoid disastrously getting swept. we need to win two. that way we’ll at least make headway vs. the wildcard field. if we sweep, even better
I do agree with you in this case about Cox. It’s the first inning against the Phils. You know that you are going to need more than one run in this game. Let Prado swing away. If it were the 7th or later in a tie game then bunt, not in the first.
Cricket, I heard and read good stuff about District 9. I still want to see Moon, which is on at the Plaza here in Atlanta (or at least it was before today, hopefully it’s still there).
I saw The Cove this week. Powerful documentary that’s as suspenseful as a studio thriller. It’s about the illegal slaughter of dolphins in a little town in Japan, where officials look the other way and actually help keep out anyone who tries to get in the way of the lucrative practice.
33 pitches through 3 innings for Jair. Hopefully he can get through the order the 2nd time around with similar success.

Video of the Game -
http://www.p2p4u.net has video and audio….at least for me.
My boy is pitching to good to only have one run, lets hope my other boys (Nate McLouth, Kelly Johnson, Ryan Church, Martin Prado) can get him some more runs…
And yes, I know Johnson isn’t playing.

missed the top of the 3rd while making a sandwich…that’s a good sign
Victorino just looks like a little snotty girl. He looked like somebody stole his stepping stool for his car at this year’s AllStar game. DAMN, be thankful people voted you in.
DOB, how much of it do you think is being comfortable…speaking of LaRoche?
Heath, I’m watching King of Queens on it now,
Loaf is at least having them hit to him , no hustel rule in effect tonight.
bunt for a hit nate
Uh…right. I think I would have worded that a little differently, though…
Right now I’m advocating Esco or LaRoche. Either one…Bobby cann take his pick.
August 14th, 20098:16 pm
That son of a gun catches everything!!
Victorino pisses me off.
August 14th, 20098:17 pm
Stay hot Prado
My guy, Marteeeeeen.
Fisted ticker: 3
Martin is the man.
Home run Chipper.
that was just a warmup act for martin…later he’s gonna lace a double
August 14th, 20098:18 pm
Chop It Up All-Stars -
Victorino is good….but that one from McLouth was a can-o-corn. The one from Prado however…
good thing for the phils we are at Turrner Field, Braves would have 3 home runs in their bandbox
Finally Victorino missed one.
We need to beat up on blanton while we can, need a lot of runs vs phillies.
LMAO @ Chippers Chips !
Chipper’s Chips LOL
Damn it….I don’t get audio
Chipper with another hit
Chipper must have broken out the bat he uses against the Mets.
Oh my. Was that Chipper’s Strippers?
not a homer but good enough. lets go MAC
Blanton looks incredibly beatable tonight… but until we start putting up runs, I remain very cautious about our slender lead. Willing to bet we we won’t keep the Phillies scoreless.
Dam you Victorino!
Get in that gap dammit.
We needed a wall banger there.
Come on Brian.
August 14th, 20098:19 pm
b-mac…going yard baby!
3 guys dressed in Chippendale attire..w.ell, bow ties, shirtless, and black pants with Chipper’s Chips signs.
Freddie G: Prado is still hitting well, but is not the team’s hottest hitter right now. He’s hit .283 with a .310 OBP since the break; Braves have seven guys hitting over .300 since the break, including five hitting over .320, four of those with OBPs above .390 since the break.
For the love of everything…do something..McFrenchy..
Well, those dudes do have a bunch of hot girls around them so they are doing something right.
the real Andy
i think before the game somebody dared Chip to say “fisted” 9 times on the broadcast. He’s up to 3 now.
Here’s a chance for your boy.
Mac is killing us…again.
Damn Brian come on.
August 14th, 20098:20 pm
If we lose…i Blame Brian McCann
Your fisted ticker just sounds dirty.
TUlaw12 that link is awesome! Thanks!
….oy. So anti-climatic.
Hi gais im vack.
August 14th, 20098:21 pm
OK, I’m officially TIRED OF THIS!!!
I REALLY feel like breaking something right now…maybe I better get away from the computer…
So……why is he still batting cleanup? I don’t think he’s scaring anyone in that spot. How ’bout sliding Yunel or Loaf up there from now on maybehaps? I’m finally on board with it, McFann. He is no longer the best option we have.
I would love to see Mac hitting 5th and Esco 4th .
Hey McFann? You could always go to bed and see what happens.
Bobby, take Brian out of the damn clean-up spot.
What is wrong with you? He’s putting too much pressure on himself. He’s not a natural 4 hitter.
Our line-up is good enough, you can move somebody else to bat 4th. Brian needs to bat 5th or 6th.
August 14th, 20098:22 pm
That Chipper Chip’s crew is, well…unique.
Why not put Yunel at cleanup or even Garret, but Mac is trying his hardest to hit a HR almost every at bat.
Hey! Good idea…
