Wow, was that a big play. That’s where you like LaRoche even more than Kotchman, on a play like that where he uses that strong arm. He does have the superior arm, being a former pitcher and all.

yeah, Paul, but that spot won’t see but maybe one more at-bat, and you could pinch-hit there as well. Just seems asinine to not even try to get another run when it’s 4-2 against the highest-scoring offense in the NL.

MurphyRules……………My thinking is that Bobby wanted to keep Garret’s bat in the line-up, if Moylan gave up the lead in the 7th.
Nice play by Prado. No way Kelly Johnson makes that play.

For all those who think the Braves lost something defensively in the Kotchman, there’s no way Kotchman makes that throw and gets the out. No way.
If this inning goes badly, it will be squarely on the head of Chance the Manager and his totally unnecessary use of Gonzalez each of the last two days.
Fortunately for Cox, Moylan is hanging tough, but it would have been nice to have Gonzo available tonight, rather than being used in comfortable wins in San Diego.

That, and the fine play by LaRoche. Without that throw, a run scores on the groundout to Prado. So Rochy deserves as much credit as Torre does for the stupidity of calling for Martin to bunt, and Martin not getting the runners over.

First, we rip BC a new one because he is afraid to run a guy out there for more than a batter or two, then he sends Moylan out after he gets ONE batter in the previous inning, and we rip him for that.
You folks are making my point. No matter what Bobby does, your going to find fault with it.
Face it, HE is the manager of the Braves (for how many years now???) for a reason. It is because overall, he is a VERY good manager.

For the record, I think Moylan is fantastic. I just don’t want to see his arm fall off from overuse. It would be nice if Bobby would trust anyone besides Moylan, Gonzo, and Soriano. Otherwise, they might as well send down Medlen and Acosta and call up 2 hitters. And get ready for more arm surgery for Moylan, Gonzo, and Soriano.
