That is right up my alley lol. Since I can’t remember the first, I do remember the best one I went to.
It was a 3 Doors Down with a few other opening bands and there was a surprise thing where one local band would be the opener for the openers for 3 Doors Down.
Biggest reason I thought it was best one is because a friend of mine was apart of the local band selected.
I forgot the year, but it wasn’t way back then, I’d say probably within the past year or two or three.
I’m struggling with this one. I’m relatively young, but I may have to say Radiohead at Bonnaroo a couple of years ago. A truly amazing show in a…interesting…environment.
I should say my memory for specifics is non existent ~_~
And……
If I hear John Hart (whatever his name is on MLBN) say the word Club or Ball Club, my ears may bleed.
I mean if I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard him say the word Club or Ball Club since he started on MLBN, I’d probably easily have a hundred dollars give or take a few.

Once again, Bobby uses Soriano in a non-save situation. mb

Jimmy Buffett at Carowinds 1978. Great show. Saw him twice since. Pretty much nothing changed. Second show was Bruce on the “Darkness” tour at the old Charlotte Coliseum. That was amazing. If you don’t believe so, go to this link at YouTube
When you get older, the order of things starts to get confused, but I think my first rock-n-roll, stadium concert was Bruce Springsteen on the “Born in the USA” tour.
But, I’m pretty sure my first rock-n-roll concert was Oingo Boingo at a biker bar “on the other side of the tracks.” (It was in a bad section of town, and we did have to cross railroad tracks to get there.)
I think the Springsteen concert goes down as the best, although I have a soft spot for the Jethro Tull concert that I got to catch in one of their last US tours.
best concert? hm….. Slayer was pretty good. Saw Henry Rollins Band open up for David Byrne in Moscow when I live overseas that was amazing. Les Claypool at jazz fest was awesome
Elton puts on a helluva show, no shame in that. Ive seen him twice, took my mom both times, once with billy joel. Also took her to a tom jones concert for her bday a few years ago, shes a big fan. I couldnt possibly name the best one ive ever been to, i went to college in athens. Seen as many good shows at dive bars as any arena.
I am glad that we got Roachy back.. He is better for the clubhouse then Kotchman was.. Roach has friends on this team and Kotchman acted from the start like he didn’t want to be here whereas we all know that Roach loved coming back to Atlanta.. Its kind of ironic that LaRoache was manning first base as Gonzalez was pitching.. I never thought that I would see those two playing for the same team at the same time..
Good game by the Braves today.. Now lets see what they can do against the Dodgers when we have LaRoache, Escobar, and Church in the lineup instead of Kotchman, Hernandez, and Diaz.. I hope they take the series, and would love to see a sweep..
I saw Ruth Brown, when I lived in Vegas every Thursday night

Classy lady but sadly she passed in 2007.
When I was very sick and dying she went out of her way to be nice to me
I saw kiss and the stones in the late 80s when they first started drawing their social security checks. They were ok, probably not as good a show as they put on in the 70’s.

Kotchman’s had one at-bat since being traded to Boston
Dang…I feel bad for him. He goes from a playoff team’s starting 1st baseman, to being in 4th place on a 90-loss team, and now he’s traded again and loses his starting gig. Poor fella…
Chop Chop-Procol Harum is one of the least recognized Great Bands of all time. The only song anyone knows of theirs is Whiter Shade of Pale-released prior to their first album and never appearing on an album until greatest hits compilations.
Dang…I feel bad for him. He goes from a playoff team’s starting 1st baseman, to being in 4th place on a 90-loss team, and now he’s traded again and loses his starting gig. Poor fella…
Not to mention who he’s getting traded for. First it was Teixeira. Then it falls off to LaRoche. I can only imagine what’ll be next

My mom’s first concert was the Beatles in ‘65.
My dad’s first concert was either Procul Harum or Paul Butterfield Blues Band (w/Stephen Stills) in ‘67.
My first concert was…the O’Jays. I was in Army basic.
My mom wins.

Excuse me, Procol Harum.
I wouldn’t want to disrespect them.

Saw Zeppelin in 1973 at the Launching Pad with 55,000 of my closest friends. THAT was a memorable event. Wish I’d gotten to see Hendrix and The Who. I did get to see The Stones, Humble Pie with Peter Frampton (great show opening for another ELP show), Ten Years After and Jefferson Airplane, though

Kotchman’s had one at-bat since being traded to Boston
Dang…I feel bad for him. He goes from a playoff team’s starting 1st baseman, to being in 4th place on a 90-loss team, and now he’s traded again and loses his starting gig. Poor fella…
And now he has to make friends all over again.

My first concert was Counting Crows in Gainesville, FL on the August and Everything After tour. I remember being pumped because it was a school night.

Chop Chop-Procol Harum is one of the least recognized Great Bands of all time. The only song anyone knows of theirs is Whiter Shade of Pale-released prior to their first album and never appearing on an album until greatest hits compilations.

Not to mention who he’s getting traded for. First it was Teixeira. Then it falls off to LaRoche. I can only imagine what’ll be next
