If you think that there is "no chance" that Kelly Johnson clears waivers, then there isnt much reasoning with you. What "contending" team do you really think would put a claim in on Kelly? Very seldom does a non contending team put a claim in on a player. It's kind of like an "unwritten rule". Maybe David O'Brien can give some insight as to that.
