Capt Caveman ( a/k/a Bosley )……….keep believing that I am wrong about Jeff Bennett. The only reason he isnt pitching with the Braves is because he broke his hand. If he had not broken his hand, Bobby Cox would have kept throwing him out there, just like he has with Peter Moylan.

I feel that it is possible that Frank Wren “came up with the withholding pay thing” because he wanted a way out of putting him on the roster without having to deal with Bobby advocating for one of “his boys”.

Also, as soon as Jeff Bennett was healthy enough to pitch, they could have outrighted him to Triple A. Instead, they choose to keep him on the DL while rehabbing him. The Braves did the same thing with Kelly Johnson and Greg Norton. Buddy Carlyle is “rehabbing” as well.

It would be nice if one of our BUMS like Greg Norton or Kelly Johnson would “get hit by pitches” instead of our good players like Omar Infante and Yunel Escobar.

Here is a scary thought, we would have been swept by the Dodgers if not for Diory & Norton coming thru on Saturday, at least we got 1 win out of them, if you add their averages together their over .300! Go Bravos

I think, if anything, Hudson’s option doesn’t get picked up and Vasquez stays. However, the Braves will be more likely to fill at least one need if not two by trading Vasquez and getting pieces back. I still say it wouldn’t surprise me if neither one of these guys are here next season. That is a lot of money freed up!

PAUL LENTZ — YOU are absolutely WRONG. The Braves never had any intention of activating Jeff Bennett, a rehab assignment is nothing more than that. REHAB. Just b/c they made him pitch in a few minor league games doesn’t mean he was coming back. It just means they were looking for any excuse possible to keep him off the roster before they just had to outright release him.

Adam LaRoche is making a little over 7m this year as a free agent, what do we think is the likelihood of resigning with Braves? I would think the salary would have to come down with Braves to keep him.
