I’m sorry I just think this is a stupid trade. I’ve said before….we should do nothing to screw with the offensive chemistry we have had going. First KJ comes up and since that point offense has struggled…..I know on the bench but still….then LaRoche? This is retarded.

Send Wren and Cox to the state of Texas. They still give the criminally retarded the electric chair over there.

The deal sure frees up money for next season. Marginal difference between the players but this will give us some cash to spend in the off-season as LaRoche will be off the books. Also he is best of friends with Nate McLouth which can only be good for the clubhouse. Plus, LaRoche surely has more upside even though his numbers might not be as great… remember he DID hit 32 homers once.

Also, Steve from Nova Scotia. Where are you from in NS?

Julio Teheran:
(written by Kevin Goldstein)
Julio Teheran, RHP, Braves (short-season Danville)
Thursday’s stats: 8 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 11 K
Teheran has been much-hyped since the Braves signed the Colombian product for $850,000 two years ago, but some seem to be disappointed because he’s still in the Appalachian League. Keep in mind that he’s only 18 years old, as his stuff is still borderline outstanding with plus-plus velocity and about as good a changeup as you find in a teenager. There’s really no change in his outlook, and he’s still ahead of schedule.

For LaRoche and Wood? You’re talking a ton of money. LaRoches is owed about 2.5 million for the rest of this year and Wood is signed for next year also at 10.5 million!!
