“Manny Is Cool As hell, I bet he smokes a lot of Dro? I know he chews tobacco…”
Manny would be a Marlin then ~_~
They have a I don’t Smoke, Dip or Chew campaign.
Word out of Tampa Bay is that with the arrival of Jeff “The Genius” Bennett, the clubhouse doors are being padded.
Uhm….permission…oh yeah…thanks. lol I alllllllllways ask for permission first.
I’m World Serious…That Raise Up song by Petey Pablo was so good as a pep-rally song/anthem It had to be done twice…The “All city remix” is better
Its a good party song
whew….forget about the curve ball gonzo, give him the heater….and he smoked it, but Chip’s still got something left over there at 3rd

cabravesfan – a man has dreams, of walking with giants, to carve his niche, in the edifice of time
CrimeDog……..I am far from bitter. However, I do have EXPECTATIONS when it comes to the Braves putting the best team out there that they can.
Unlike you, I see the IMPACT that a quality 25th man can have on a team. Also, how can you say that Greg Norton is the 25th man…………when he is Bobby’s number 1 pinch hitting option off the bench? He plays virtually EVERY GAME. While David Ross is important as a back-up catcher……..there are times where he will go 2 weeks between games. Kris Medlen and Boone Logan, can go a week between appearances.

Most Good rap predates 2000 before it became Pop thanks to the likes of Enimem and 2-Cent (50 Cent)
The New stuff is Pop-Tart Garbage!
Actually I thought Loaf looked rather energetic, taking the long route out in LF to turn a single into a double for Blake. Despite his best efforts, the ball somehow found him.
Well, at least that ball wasn’t at Matty’s head. It was only at his shoulders.
The real loaf is ashamed to post anymore lest people think it’s the same as whoever that is.
I haven’t been on the blog these past few days and I’m just wandering if there has been any comment from Garrett Anderson surrounding the trade. He sure has looked bad the last two games after being on a tear. I still like him and don’t think people on here give him the respect he deserves.
That’s hilarious. If you respected him you wouldn’t think for a minute that his former Angels teammate being traded would have any effect on his play.

McFann Ô: I know right!
Is LaRoche just penciled it at No. 7 when Escobar returns?
August 1st, 20096:40 pm
2,000 seats? I’d like to know which ones
Sounds like he’s looking at those top deck seats cabraves…
May be all he can afford after the flight. Hey, it gets romantic way up there…in between the episodes of nose bleeds.
The only permission you need is from me
LaRoche stays away from high fastballs

There you go Mike. (I started writing this a while ago)
Gonzo has gone from a dominant closer to a reliable back end guy. I can’t get over the fact that they have just been abused by Bobby this year.
You know, if I had a kid I would forbid him from wearing anything bearing Manny Ramirez’s name on it. I tend to go back and forth on the whole steroids thing. Bud Selig lacks any kind of leadership ability or decisiveness. Baseball has allowed it to happen, the fans, whether they knew about it or not, allowed it to happen and everybody got wrapped up in it.
But the more that comes out, the more disgusted I am by it all. Manny is a disgrace to the game. It’s so obvious he’s on steroids, it makes me sick. People should be ashamed of themselves for rooting for him.
And that’s all I have to say about that!
It’s obvious you’re bitter. Like splitting hairs with Carroll about the “nature” of Norton’s recent hits. The dude has the go-ahead RBI, and yet you STILL won’t give it a rest. We all know you hate him. We get that. Yet everyday, here you are with the Anti-Cox, anti-Moylan, anti-Norton comments. It’s ok to have an opinion. But the frequency with which you voice those opinions makes you seem like a bitter, bitter person. And for the record, David Ross is 0-for-3 with 3 Ks. How’s that for expectations?
August 1st, 20096:42 pm
Ross going for the Golden Sombrero here.
Quoting Mary Poppins? Are you sure I’m your type??
Hey look at that, insurance runs.
I wonder what that’s like.
David, we could have used that a while back.
DRoss refusing to wear the Golden Sombrero.
Rossy!!!! Thata boy
No Golden Sombrero for Ross!
August 1st, 20096:43 pm
T’Hawkin, hate to break it ya, man, but hip hop was a ton of pop before 2000 too, especially the crap that made it to the radio. Biggie, 2Pac, Wu-tang, Dre, Snoop, Jay-Z never had their best songs played on the radio back then …. but you heard a ton of Puffy & Mase
ross was just glad not to face Wolf anymore
Not that it matters, but I didn’t even know what that was from VJ. Glad you did. (I feel dumb.)
Dodger killer Diory up!
August 1st, 20096:44 pm
AAAAAAH. That would have been big.
This game is in the bag.
Dammit!!! That Fcking Kemp! Man can he cover some ground!
Gave it a ride didn’t he?
August 1st, 20096:45 pm
With Soriano having a few days off, he should be sharp.
Diory starting to hit with Infante looming
Mota might want to quit throwing that sliding piece of garbage. Gave up a smoked double to Ross and then a 400 foot shot to Diory Hernandez of all people.
Kemp can run ‘em down. Professional Outfielder.
Don’t Assume Anything with our BLOW-PEN…!
I made the mistake earlier this year in thinking that our Blow-pen is automatic and I got burned by calling Ballgame…
August 1st, 20096:46 pm
What’s the word on Infante anyway?
Is he close? At all?
How about we hold onto this one Rafi?
Finally, somebody let us off the hook. Not over yet I guess.
That’s surprising to me. Sorry you got burned.
Steve from OH
Braveheart, that’s a very good point about baserunning as well. Either our FO is really up-to-date with such statistical numbers (RIP FJM) or that’s just a lucky coincidence.
It’s MFIKY time!
I bet he looks extra mad today.
Oh and hey, he’s the centerfold poster in Chop Talk this month. I laughed.
Infante is rehabbing in Rome on Tuesday.
August 1st, 20096:47 pm
Speaking of Kotch, even though he wasn’t my favorite, I do feel kinda bad for him. He probably won’t play much in Boston unless there is an injury. But, maybe he can win a championship.
The Bird and Indian–
Didn’t seem to hurt him, though–nice double! #6 for Ross.
Hopefully we won’t need that extra run.
The Scowl and some prayers for the Phils and Reds are all that’s left.
August 1st, 20096:48 pm
Well, with a win today, LaRoche will be better than Kotchman. After all, he’ll be undefeated in his second stint with us. That’s all that matters.
Hey, 49,000 people at Turner Field.
Make some noise!!!!
CrimeDog………….David Ross, before that double there, was having a tough day. However, I see no need to “rip” him because he has played a pretty good back-up catcher role for the Braves. Dude hasnt played in over a week. He was bound to have a rough day.
Also, you have yet to see me “rip” Nate McLouth. He has had some rough stretches in the past month. Again, he has produced for the Braves this year, he’s been playing every game, plus he can contribute in other ways when he doesnt get a hit (like draw a walk, steal a base, move a runner over, etc.).
I am simply critical of those that I dont feel should be on the team. I offer praise, support and patience for those I deem worthy of being on the team (what I mean by “worthy” is their overall body of work…..and…….where they are at in their careers).
Nova Scotia Steve
He does look extra mean today…
AKA “The Scowl”..aka “I’ll Kill You”…aka “I actually own an AKA”
August 1st, 2009
Be on notice that if they don’t win, I’m sending MFIKY and his driver to your house. You can’t hide, don’t even try.
Heath – she has a cheat sheet, I suspect (only 15 years before she was born). God bless the internet. Or else, someone gave it away.
Good to see Soriano around the area of first base on the ground out
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
August 1st, 20096:49 pm
damn, my directv has just gone out in a thunderstorm! and at the worst possible moment! please keep me updated! i would greatly appreciate a little play by play! thank you!
hopes of the braves nation
Seriously. There might as well be 4,000 people there. Absolutely no noise at all.
August 1st, 20096:50 pm
one more to go
Soriano doesn’t even look
One more baby.
Tom Hallon miked up why couldnt HOHN have been miked up wouldve payed money to hear those convos
I’d shoot ‘em both, RHR.
We’d have to find another closer.
If I were you, I’d just let it go.
Gettin a little loud…but its takin a while
2 outs, 0-1 count on Kemp, hopes guy.
This is big!
August 1st, 20096:51 pm
Paul, you may not think Norton deserves to be on this team, and I may agree with you, but at least give him some props for his hit today. He drove in the go-ahead, God willing, winning run.
The game is sold out But there are prolly 20,000 dodgers fans in attendance
To be fair, Dodger stadium isn’t much better.
Dude, you were supposed to swing at that.
Well done, MFIKY – time to celebrate (and I have a head start with a couple of martinis, beer girl!)
Bobby Cox managed a pretty good game today. I love his use of the bullpen, especially when he took Moylan out in the 7th inning in favor of O’Flaherty Normally he would have left Moylan in there.
Tom Hallion really killed Matt Kemp today.
MFIKY wins again.
Ballgame…Another Game decided by 1 run that goes our way!!!
August 1st, 20096:52 pm
wooo! JJ for the series win tomorrow!
THAT’S GAME!!!!!!!!! Way to pitch, Soriano!
I like Hallon’s strike-three call. It looks like a Tyson uppercut.
The Braves are great.
And Chop Chop is in the clear. Whew. I like that guy, didn’t want to have to have him taken out.
Lets break out the bats on ESPN tomorrow night for a sound series win and sweep the Pads next week!!!
Offense woke up late in the game. Does it carry to tomorrow? Please please do
Lowe with his 11th W
August 1st, 20096:54 pm
Wow…fist bump the ump on that strike 3. The guy got animated….
Good ballgame…well, ok ballgame, but good win.
Same pitch called a ball for Hoss earlier.
We’ll take it!
I was missing early today because I went to pick up rent and then to a local fair type of thing. At the fair the police department was doing a K-9 unit demonstration with about 7 dogs. It was pretty cool. The one cop was the “bad guy” and the dogs attacked him….and the dogs were finding drugs and explosives. It was interesting because the one dog found a gram of heroine in a baggy that was buried in a big tupperware case of coffee in the trunk of a car….and the trunk was closed. That is awesome. Another thing that was cool was that the dog was able to get out of the car and protect the officer during “an arrest” when the “bad guy” attacked the officer. The dog hit a button to let himself out of the car!!! That was amazing.
And we have PL’s official blessing – definitely time to celebrate!
cheat sheet? Who doesn’t know Mary Poppins? (sorry Heath!)
and by the way, it’s only 4:00 out here- a little early for martinis, Math Major!
Great win today
11th W for Lowe
The A Bomb
Way to go Mr. Ecko!
August 1st, 20096:55 pm
Kurdt Kobain………….I did say that Norton did “rip” that hit for the go ahead RBI. Also, I said that I’m glad he came through.
However, I need to see A LOT MORE of that before I’m willing to “ease up” on him being a BUM on the field.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
