I just hope we can tread water until this month. we need to stay within 4 games. Then we have Tim Hudson and Omar Infante coming back. By then Jason Heyward will have two full months in Mississippi. Frank Wren weill have to make the decision about calling him up. September 1st also helps us because we can call up Carlyle and Conrad, Blanco for speed as well.
Stay within striking distance until Aug 20 and I think we can win the WC

ross is fine in the lineup, but only when escobar is in the lineup and maybe even church is there. but losing out on church, escobar and McCann is killing us right now, bad time to be missing these players

LaRoche ain’t fast but when compared to Kotchman he looks like Jimmy Rollins out there. Kotchman the better D, LaRoche the better power, Kotchman the better average, laRoche the better speed.

Correct. A rookie gets six complete years of club control, i.e. if Heyward were called up to be the opening day starter in 2010, we’d get six years of club control. So anything this year is bonus; however, he’d be eligible to be a super 2 player. If Heyward were called up about three weeks into 2010, we’d get 2010 PLUS six more years of control over him, but again he’d be super 2 eligible. June 2010=all of 2010 plus 6 more, no super 2.
