Rob from SC
Welcome home LaRoche
August 1st, 20095:25 pm
LaRoche once again!
good job roache. if only we didnt have ross, diory, and the pitcher’s spot n the order coming up =(
there you go Roachy
The Bird and Indian

Mitchell: Okay I see what your saying. I’m just real interested in JJ because I see him being in the top 5 pitchers in the league in 2 years.
Come On D-Ross, He’s Due!!1
if only…if only…if only =( ugh!
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
damn. that sucks.
Oh well. Hit wasted
Unless Diory comes through ~_~
and now it’s diory’s turn…
told ya haha… with the lineup we have u can forget trying to win this game as well… rosss pleaseeee.. get mccann in the game… good lord…
August 1st, 20095:27 pm
Automatic outs I swear. Damn. You Can Count On Doiry K’in.
McLouth of the South
Backup catcher is CLEARLY the position that will keep us from the playoffs. Damn David Ross!
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )
Send Diory Down NOW!!! He’s Killing us…!
Ditto for Naw-Ton AKA Norton
_Unless Diory comes through
haha! good one, even if he does come through, we got the pitcher’s spot coming up, thats how bad we are missing escobar right now to move everyone in the lineup back a spot
August 1st, 20095:28 pm
The bottom of our order today is gross…
August 1st, 20095:29 pm
McLouth of the South-
Haha I see what you did there…kudos.
I just hope we can tread water until this month. we need to stay within 4 games. Then we have Tim Hudson and Omar Infante coming back. By then Jason Heyward will have two full months in Mississippi. Frank Wren weill have to make the decision about calling him up. September 1st also helps us because we can call up Carlyle and Conrad, Blanco for speed as well.
Stay within striking distance until Aug 20 and I think we can win the WC
ROSS AND HERNANDEZ AUTOMATIC OUTS… i cant wait till cox is gone.. his thinking is just awful.. 3 hits and you get to the 7 and 8 hitters .. EASY OUTS…
I’d rather send no one up and see if Wolf will throw three strikes instead of having to watch Diory hit.
what would you rather do? stay with the sox as a part-timer and have a chance to win the world series……
or would you rather play full time with the braves and MAYBE make it to the playoffs?
thats a tough one but i would have to go with the chance to win the ring…
Welcome back to the Braves Roach. Might have to start getting yourself reacquainted with getting left on base
ross is fine in the lineup, but only when escobar is in the lineup and maybe even church is there. but losing out on church, escobar and McCann is killing us right now, bad time to be missing these players
August 1st, 20095:30 pm
The off day killed our momentum after the Series in Milwaukee…
The braves have played like the AAA team that we saw during the first two months…especially the offense….!
If Anyone Agrees, “Then Give me a Hell Yeah!!!”
August 1st, 20095:31 pm
Diory just needs to go to the huntin’ club.
August 1st, 20095:32 pm
On a side “baseball” note…….Large props to our hometown LL team again after their 3rd straight State title win last night. This to go with their LL World Championship in ‘07.
On to the regionals in W.V. we go!
August 1st, 20095:33 pm
…as the game.
August 1st, 20095:34 pm
McClouth seriously???? Because he has struck out 2x today WOW
David Ross (amongst major league back up catchers with at least 20 games played)
#3 in batting average
#2 in HRs
#4 in RBI
#1 in SLG
#2 in OBP
#1 in OPS
Seriously dumb post man
Don’t know if its been posted, but whats the status on Church?
Steve from OH
A note from Kevin Goldstein on Julio Teheran:
“Teheran has been much-hyped since the Braves singed the Columbian product for $850,000 two years ago, but some seem to be disappointed because he’s still in the Appy League. Keep in mind that he’s only 18 year old, as his stuff is still borderline outstanding with plus-plus velocity and about as good of a changeup as you find in a teenager. There’s really no change in his outlook, and he’s still ahead of schedule.”
He wasn’t serious. Chill.
August 1st, 20095:35 pm
Has anybody booed Furcal yet? Will they ever?
D-Lowe, we’re going to need a homerun buddy.
Seriously dumb blogger man. Nothing else to say.
August 1st, 20095:36 pm
Nice scoop by that great first baseman wearing # 22 for the Braves! Yep, that Kotch is the only guy in baseball who could make that play. Oh, wait….
good job lowe
Sorry but right after he strikes out is a bad time to post a joke sorry if i misunderstood it
LaRoche ain’t fast but when compared to Kotchman he looks like Jimmy Rollins out there. Kotchman the better D, LaRoche the better power, Kotchman the better average, laRoche the better speed.
August 1st, 20095:37 pm
Hey Shane, where do you get that stuff?
D-Ross is a badass. He’s real good at striking out with runners on though.
DOB or Carroll
Any insight about whether Wren will at least consider Heyward for late August early September
nice swing, d-lowe, just not quite hard enough.
August 1st, 20095:38 pm
Good trivia Q today.
Nova Scotia Steve McCann should be in the line-up but he hasn’t had a day off in a long time…
Yeah. Last day off was the final game against the Giants.
We’re gunna need a homer to tie this one up or take the lead…
Come on Nate.
It doesn’t feel like we’re losing and yet we most certainly are.
Nate needs to keep doing that.
August 1st, 20095:39 pm
2nd one for McLouth today. Now, if we can just get Martin to get back on his hitting blaze.
Come on Martin. Top of the order needs to do it with Mac and Esco out today.
hit and run
Paging Adam LaRoche, Adam LaRoche to the batter’s box, please.
Let’s go Martin!
David Ross’ first major league HR came off of Mark Grace. Interesting.
August 1st, 20095:40 pm
Time for Chipper
C”MOOONNNN…please no DP…
lol @ us
Lets go Chipper
Yeah baby. Damn, that was awesome. Chipper, I’d take a single.
YES! Come on Chip. I wish Roachy was hitting 5th cause Diaz seems a little off lately but who knows with his crazy swings.
now we got something going, without brining up the last part of the order
Attaboy Nate-Dawg…! Good Hustle…About time we go first to third and not settle for station 2 station…!
C’mon Hoss !!
August 1st, 2009
“LaRoche ain’t fast but when compared to Kotchman he looks like Jimmy Rollins out there. Kotchman the better D, LaRoche the better power, Kotchman the better average, laRoche the better speed.”
Only when LaRoche is ON speed. When he forgets his pills you might find him wandering over near the bullpen…
August 1st, 20095:41 pm
no double play chipper, no double play!
Chipper jumpin at the ball…tryin too hard
in a hole…
just read on MLB traderumors that if a player is called up now, they would still be under contract for 6 more years so this year doesn’t count.
no double play!
August 1st, 20095:42 pm
wolf looks like wojo off barney miller
Atta baby Hoss!
What a great AB…Tough as nails Chipper
chipper knows he doesnt have McCann hitting behind him, hes trying to hard
He’s come through today for us.
Those sneaky Red Sox tried to get Felix Hernandez.
There we go “Hoss”!!!
August 1st, 20095:43 pm
There you go Chip, way to hang in there behind in the count.

“just read on MLB traderumors that if a player is called up now, they would still be under contract for 6 more years so this year doesn’t count.”
Heyward isn’t currently on the 40-man
Barney Miller? lol thats a blast from the past. My parents watched that when I was like…4.
Loaf – MFIKY!
August 1st, 20095:44 pm
What a hit.
That’s a Hall of Famer right there, Teen Wolf.
And the crowd goes mild.
A double play is so not what I wanted. What was that GA?
Correct. A rookie gets six complete years of club control, i.e. if Heyward were called up to be the opening day starter in 2010, we’d get six years of club control. So anything this year is bonus; however, he’d be eligible to be a super 2 player. If Heyward were called up about three weeks into 2010, we’d get 2010 PLUS six more years of control over him, but again he’d be super 2 eligible. June 2010=all of 2010 plus 6 more, no super 2.
chipper singles and the next pitch inning is over by anderson.. come on…
well atleast we tied it up
it’s ok, we tied it up…
Professional double play…8O
UNCLE, LOAF, UNCLE!! That guy’s been a pile of sh!! at the plate these last two games. I’m not gonna say it’s because his buddy Casey is gone, but it has to be said, right?
August 1st, 20095:45 pm
All the other times GA would have hit a flyball, now he rolls into a DP. Oh well, hold em D. Lowe.
I wish Loaf still had his Blackberry so I could hear his thoughts on that DP.
August 1st, 20095:46 pm
I wonder how’s Kotchman’s absence will affect Loaf. Didn’t they pretty much keep to themselves?…or was that just a rumor?
Steve from OH
If we are worried about super two, then we are a cheap A$$ team. He could be the piece to get us to the WC.
Steve from OH, I don’t always agree with some things you write here, but I’ll be damned if I have a qeustion about “baseball facts”…you’re my man.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
