lost 11 games in july—gave away how many—- 4?
Excellent point. I’m not going to complain about 11 wins, I think that’s awesome but we can’t fall back into a rut. We have to play better and not waste opportunities to score and take over games.
This line-up does suck. As long as Greg, Kelly and Diory have an A on their helmets… well, you know the rest.
pryguy, I wasn’t around the beat a ton when LaRoche was here, so my memory is a little foggy but I don’t know that it was any huge deal with Cox and LaRoche, just a couple misplays at first base that he didn’t appreciate but that was it.
nice ovations for LaRoche, both in introductions and his first at-bat.
NS Steve–that’s pretty much it. If anyone else could play SS, they’d be here instead of Diory. Unfortunately, Kelly and/or Martin can’t (well) and we don’t have a good SS prospect (looking at you, Brandon Hicks) to step up and gobble up that PT.
Darn it…first ROSS strikes out, but he’s done a good job this year. Not been getting many AB’s lately…I wonder if that has anything to do with him striking out, he’s normally a good fastball hitter.
Then…DIORY HERNADEZ has NO BUSINESS being on the major league team. He’s WORTHLESS. Can’t even hit his weight in batting average.
I’d rather have the “butcher” that is Brooks Conrad at SS and his bat in the lineup, than the EASY out that is Diory Hernadez.
Man, do the Braves ever need everyone to be HEALTHY to have any kind of a shot at the WC.
Omar Infante can’t get here fast enough. Enough of this CRAP with having to endure Diory Hernadez at bats!
To frustrate myself and ya’ll even more, I think we can all agree that Yunel would’ve bashed that Wolf heater down the middle for at least a double, probably a 3-run HR.
Why does Escobar have to keep getting hurt? I can’t wait until Infante comes back.. Then at least we will have a viable backup in case Escobar can’t go.. Hernandez blows..
man, not having infane to backup escobar is killing us. wish we could put hicks in there atleast, though, he hasnt shown anything in the minor leagues either
typical braves.. 2 on with one out and ross strikes out and the same with hernandez..yea thats offense for u…wow cox and wren just suck at choosin which players to send up and send down.. for that reason and many others dont see the braves winning one game against the dodgers here in atlanta or in LA..and the braves make history last night as well..
Nova Scotia, me too. Grace is a very good anouncer that calls the game down the middle. I think, just from listening to him the last few years, that he really repsects Bobby and the Braves.
We’re stuck with Diory until Infante comes back, which sounds like is still a while away. I think the latest I read was end of August? Damn whoever it was who hit him…I don’t even remember.
“WHEW!! that diory is awful! Ecsobar can’t get back soon enough.”
I know, he just seems to have no idea what he’s doing up there. Who is the shortstop for gwinnett? I have to imagine he can’t be much worse than what Diory is doing right now. You never know what someone will do when they come from triple-a to the majors as evidenced by Brooks Conrad and his performance but I have to imagine the Braves didn’t think Diory would be this bad at the plate. Time to give someone else a shot till Omar gets back.
Lowe pitches well when the pressure is on man…people rag on him about his salary but he’s a money pitcher.
His past play-off records…Game 1 of the season on ESPN against Phillis…VS Beckett on Fox a couple weeks ago…and here again today with the ball parked packed and another national broadcast…
and chris totally agree man. a weak lineup again…bring some players up here that can hit and put the ball in play.. Norton hernandez and many others just are awful.. when will the 2 managers get with it.. and i have to watch the yankees and whitesoxs play where chicago is shelling A.J Burnett in the 2nd inning… go soxs screw those yankees..
Glad Grace is doing a good job. He’s always been a favorite of mine. Dealt with him back in the day on a few Maddux stories since they were teammates and buddies with the Cubs.
You cannot field a team nightly with 2 and 3 starters out and expect to win. Mccann should have been in the lineup today. I understand the philosophy of resting him. But when you already have starters out then he has to play.
You rest him when you have a full healthy squad to play the game.
I’ll say it again, we should have traded for Sherrill.
I can’t believe we would trade Casey Kotchman. I mean, it’s not really that big of a deal. LaRoche will probably be fine.
I just can’t make sense of the fact that we have these retards still in the clubhouse. How bout Norton, Kelly and Diory for a bucket of Big League Chew?

We should have traded for George Sherrill. If Adam hits a three run homerun I’ll shut up but that was a dumbass trade.
I hate this commercial. Are there any lyrics to this song? It’s unintelligable.
Oh, I change my mind. The Olive Garden commercial is unbearable. I hate it.
I’m not happy today. I was happy. Didn’t even want to think about the game today, didn’t want to watch but I’m an addict.
Okay, Matt Diaz… thank you for at least making this guy have to work.
We better win this game.
