Come on. Swing at that you jackass.
G Damn it. Let’s please not blow this. They better be ready tonight Bobby.
C’mon Bobby !!…Javy was “done”…shoulda never left him in to walk that guy….
July 30th, 20099:29 pm
For all who still think Bobby Cox is not passed his prime, I give you exhibit A. Leaving a noticeably tired Vasques in game in 8th after he had given him 7 strong innings. First batter hits a homerun and Cox still leaves him in game. Javy is straining to throw in 90s and his fast ball is now riding back across plate in the hitters zone like KK last night. Here comes Cox 2 batters too late.
Holy crap, the Braves have finally rid themselves of Jeff Bennett? He actually asked for his release knowing that no team in their right mind would sign his worthless a$$? Finally, we are free of Jeff Bennett, about time..
Had the “Feast Or Famine” Offense Spotted Javy 5 runs plus, he’d be going for a complete game
You can’t bash Javy here….
Boog just gave you and the blog a shout out on TV

Robert, seriously man, chillax. Pitchers give up homeruns all the time, it really doesn’t mean much, the walk on the other hand, that was the give away I think.
Come On Gonzo…I wanna see Waste Helms G.I.D.P.!
July 30th, 20099:31 pm
Must be nice to have a pinch hitter on your bench who is batting. 345 with 7 doubles as a pinch hitter.
Rob from SC
Here we go again.
Gonzo, Come On!
wes helms owns the Braves, always has, always will
Helms and Ross, the dynamic duo of destruction!
July 30th, 20099:32 pm
JV’s last pitch was 94 mph……judgenot!
Well you got what u ask for, base hit.
Co-Sign MIXXO! This Happens every night it seems…!
We should trade Gonzalez: He is a arm injury waiting to happen AGAIN!
July 30th, 20099:33 pm
As if on cue – time for Bozo to screw it up. It would be funny if it werent so sad
I’m not going to bash Bobby Cox for leaving in Vazquez to pitch the 8th. Even a tired Vazquez is better then anyone but Soriano in the bullpen. Vazquez has shown that he can grind it out. Bobby took a chance that he could get through the 8th, it just didnt work.
Gonzalez can still get out of this inning.
July 30th, 20099:34 pm
I swear If The Blow-pen Blows another one Of Javy’s starts, I’m Gonna Get Crunk!!!
Mr Wren , go get Michael Wuertz.
Not good. If we lose this game the season is over.
Gonzalez throws to many sliders. This guy can’t hit high heat
Billy Hohn looks like he should be dancing the YMCA. Construction worker, cop, umpire?
97MPH from Gonzo, yeah, it’s safe to say his arm is feeling good again.
July 30th, 20099:35 pm
They went ahead and did x-rays on escobar’s wrist, which came back negative (which is, of course, positive)
Wuertz would cost Medlen plus. Maybe even Freeman
“So now we’re comparing Javy Vazquez to Greg Maddux. That’s pretty fair.”
Why not? According to everybody on here he shouldn’t be traded. I’m not really comparing him to Maddux.
Just saying that he’s NOT a stopper. Never has been. Never will be. Maddux was. If you’ve got a problem with those facts, take it up with whoever writes the headlines on the Braves offical site. Not me.
I would NEVER insult Greg Maddux by insinuating that Vazquez is remotely in his league “talent wise”. Just stating that Maddux was a stopper.
HOWEVER…… Many have stated that they would rather have Vazquez over Tim Hudson next year, and with 3 runs of support or more, Hudson is/was pretty much unbeatable during his career. Even more so than Maddux.
… unlke that wild pitch, which was very negative.
here we go. i hate my life.
Gonzo in to blow another game.
WTF Was that!!! ARRRGGGGGHHHH!
throw the fastball Mike!! your curve ball is not working.
gonzo laying an egg
It would be great if Braves and Fish could flip mgrs.
here we go. Could this be the Philly series from last year for the Braves? Next pitch will tell us
July 30th, 20099:36 pm
These are the Javy Vazquez starts I know and love. No run support. Bullpen adventures. Oh Boy.
Walk Ramirez and bring Moylan in to face Cantu
This Is really Beginning to Piss Me Off!!!
Jimmy Joe Jimbob
That K was HUGE
huge strike out. Need one more out
Hadley gonna hit one to Tim-Buck-Two…oops Dude just K’d…nevermind
I would love Fredi G to come home
Good Move Here…You don’t let their Franchise Playa Beat you! Nuff Said!
July 30th, 20099:37 pm
this is the ballgame. need to put soriano in there for 4 outs.
Let’s see if that dastardly ump lets another inherited runner score.
Cantu scares me.
Maybe it’s the helmet.
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )
This thing is OVER!!…go ahead and sell high Mr. Frank Wren..
Sometimes Gonzalez has a hard time finishing off hitters.
However, BIG STRIKEOUT THERE.
However, Ramirez is coming up. Now the Braves are walking him. Now it’s Cantu’s turn to come up.
Gonzo is throwing heat tonight, leave him in, go for the strikeout. That’s my play here.
NO No No!
if moylan walks in the tying run i am going to smash my face into the wall.
My Narrow Ass Is Getting Nervous!!!
oh wow hes leaving gonzo in
July 30th, 20099:38 pm
amen to that Rob.
This one is on Bobby if we lose.
that was a strike
KOTCH saves the day. VASQUEZ continues his masterful performance – the entire season of 2009. What a steal! And the “CHAW” is gone. Thank goodness. Will the BRAVES win it? Come on MIKE G.
Come on, Gonzo. Get this done.
i have a BAD feeling
Sometimes I think it’s better to bring your stud closer in during the 8th inning….then let the Moylan’s of the world…pitch the 9th….to the lower part of the order
i am getting really nervous. not liking the count
I’d rather see Gonzalez stay in there. Moylan has been TOO INCONSISTENT, plus his control is sometimes shaky when he first comes into a game.
“Good Move Here…You don’t let their Franchise Playa Beat you! Nuff Said!”
Unless Gonzo walks him.
Didn’t see much wrong with that 0-1 pitch.
we have three guys in the top six in the league in appearances. How is that even possible when you have a rotation as good and consistent as ours?
July 30th, 20099:39 pm
This Place has been and always will be a house or Horrors for the braves!
“I blame Bobby-fest” coming in 3 – 2 – 1 …
WTF was that
That’s some crap luck right there.
awesome. wow. we suck.
cant say i’m surprised
that’s just bad luck. everything is against us.
Did… Did Chipper just… Did Chipper just roll over on the infield? Did that just happen?
Another Wasted CY Outing By Vazquez!!! This Team Really Pisses Me Off!!!
Steve from OH
Well that…sucks. Bad luck again
If it weren’t for bad luck, the Braves wouldn’t have any luck at all!
July 30th, 20099:40 pm
Come on, you know Bobby should have barehanded that ball and fired to first!
The Marlins can suck it.
I don’t give a sh*t, we’re winning this damn game. Cheap f*in’ little hit.
Bunch of bitches. Come on Mike.
LOL…this team is a laughing STOCK!!….SELL SELL SELL!!
Lose this one and it’s over with Braves fans…
another blown save – Thanks MIKE!!!
Another missed strike call! Followed by well, something not so good.
Need some help in the pen folks.
got to get an out here.
That’s a different AB if the ump calls strike 2 on Cantu. And he’d been calling that a strike all night.
for the future standpoint – the standing of Soriano and Gonzalez will bring us great draft picks which we can use to help rebuild the farm. I would assume the Braves will offer them both arbitration. Anderson will also bring draft picks but it would be interesting to see if the Braves would take a chance on offering him arbitration. My guess would be no as his value in arbitration would be high above what he would get on the open market.
gonzo finally decides to throw some strikes. after the damage has been done.
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
Bad luck there. Still, Gonzalez’s wild pitch set that situation up.
Now we need to score some more.
Gonzalez in the game = big L
July 30th, 20099:41 pm
At least Gonzo Showed some emotion!!!!
Marlins like walkoffs hope they can prevent this one
