I know not everyone’s excited at me maybe coming back to Atlanta, but I just wanted to let you all know my hammy’s already tightening up just thinking about spring training. Nobody else in baseball is in midseason form yet.

UNCBrave…………dude, it is illogical for one to say that Frank Wren isnt doing anything to improve the Braves. He has to balance improving this year’s team with not mortgaging the future of the team. If the Braves were in the Phillies position, I could see Wren making being more aggressive making a trade. However we arent. Even if we make a trade, there is no guarantee that we will make the play-offs.

So unless the right deal crosses his path, Frank Wren will probably not make a trade. I’m more than ok with playing this season out and giving Wren a chance to spend this winter making moves to rebuild the offense like he did last year with the starting pitching.

If by “sit on his hands” you mean Wren went out and got Nate McLouth when nobody knew he was available AND had him for an extra month than these other teams will have their players, then you are right. It’s not that the Braves aren’t making moves, it’s just that they made them early on in order to get the most benefit from them.

thanks for the responses on the poll guys, interseting no one thinks we should dangle lowe (10 w), vasquez (low era), g. anderson (red hot), or church (just a vet) just see what they would fetch and free up a lot of money. it will be interseting to see what we do (or dont do).
