Supes, not many other pitchers making 8mil a year are pitching better than KK this year, if you want to look at it that way. Sorry guys, but your claims have no merritt, KK has, with the exception of a bad first month (forgivable for a foreign pitcher) and tonight’s blow up, has pitched pretty well for us. Not going deep into games would be more of a big deal if we had last year’s rotation of 5 guys that can’t get past the 5th, but that is not the case.

Anyway, I broke it down above, everyone year we lose a pitcher’s salary and gain money to sign or lock up players. It’s part of a plan to make us contenders while developing at the same time. KK may be like Dice-K and put up amazing numbers next year, and Heyward may be spelling Church.

How do you say ” You Suck” in Japanese? It is unacceptable to give up a HR to the opposing pitcher, let alone a 3 run jack.. That is all the difference in this game.. Kawacrappy needs to go to the BP once Hudson returns..

Doc Holiday………that Philly loss in the 3rd game of the season was a brutal loss, considering we were up by 7 runs. Also, that Pittsburgh game that we won in 15 innings taxed our bullpen as well.

Brian McCann is having a rough night.

Cox’s huffing and puffing about balls and strikes is so wonderfully productive and such an example of great managing

Apart from being a complete jackass, he shouldn’t be allowed to umpire a Braves game again.

McCann isn’t Barry Bonds, Ryan Howard, or Jim Thome (around his prime). If they’re going to play the shift, but the ball up the 3rd base line and bring the tying run to the plate.

His two should have been double-plays cost the Braves several runs this game.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. Paul Lentz asked the question if we thought that the Braves would have a better record had Hudson been in the rotation instead of KK. I was saying YES.

It was all hypothetical. Of all the guys we had, KK was the better option. But Paul continues to think the team will be better off with Hudson in the pen.

I don’t.

Jim Powell just said that no one in the stands came to watch the umpire, and he’s exactly right. He also said it was perhaps the most unprofessional act he’s ever seen from an umpire. Guys like this need to be disciplined by MLB, and it needs to be made public rather than keeping the punishment in-house. It just seems the guy’s looking for a fight.

WARNING: This is a legitimate baseball post. If what you read is crazy, then totally disregard and go to bed.

If things keep going the way they’ve gone the past couple games, we’re on a death march.

I don’t care how much KK’s being paid, I’d put Medlin in his spot. Medlin has better quality stuff. I think he’d win more games than KK if given a legit shot.

Home plate ump is a PRICK with a serious vendetta against the Braves.

I wouldn’t be surprised if B-Mac gets tossed next inning.

Good night for Loaf, continues to rake. Is he at .300 yet?

Paul Lentz,

you can average innings all you want, I’ve seen HUDSON go to the 7th and 8th inning in games a lot more than I have KK. I also seriously doubt that next year and the year after KK will turn into a pitcher who is capable of going more than 5 innings. Dude is all around the dish and lack command of his pitches. What about that is so appealing to you about this guy who is costing us 8 million per year?

Don’t get me wrong, I like Medlen and think he’ll likely be a starter for us in 2011 (from Javy walking at the end of 2010). But he seems to have issues with his nerves. A couple years in the bigs and he’ll get that under control though. Could get a start job sooner if we have injuries next year.
