Where the FLIP was that one!?!
Time for some Ks.
WHAT? Who has gameday up?
Soriano Getting Squeezed!!!
July 28th, 20099:59 pm
Home team sacrificing the runner over. Conservative call there.
Eric from MO
Good thats just because so many people who only watched the first couple weeks bash him so much.
Eric from MO–
Yeah…but is doesn’t really seem like he has been.
Nova Scotia Steve
Boog: “You can see Bobby saying ‘thats a strike’ ” lol I saw him saying a lot more than that!
NO MORE BOBBY
TheNCBravesFan! – For all you Haters out there, I guess Bobby Cox looks per-tttttttty smart right about now, doesn’t he??????
PLEASE STOP POSTING THIS CRAP MRS.COX!!!!
July 28th, 200910:00 pm
omg…I can’t handle this
wow thats heart breaking
Raffy Come On!!!
This Is Beginning To P’s Me Off!!! Especially the Non-Calls!
what the F>!#
The Bird and Indian
Soriano is a GIVE IT UP BOY!
well that sucks
SMH Umpire cost us this game.
THAT’S not good…Not the way you want to lose one…
I Just THREW MY REMOTE!!!
Following on the internet…makes me more nervous than when I can watch on TV. I just have no idea what the “real” performace is when following this way.
July 28th, 200910:01 pm
you squeeze pitchers and they have to throw it over the middle of the plate
Wth was with soriano?
I could see that coming.
It hurts so bad. Damn.
Mark in PA
Well that wasn’t good. Ump got in Soriano’s head.
that’s just dandy.
I KNEW IT…. NOW NO ONE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT MY SORRY BUTT TOMORROW!!!! THANK U RAFAEL!!!!
son of a….
season’s over folks, we gave it our best.
cant walk people in the 9th
Well, that sucks.
Right down the middle!!
I love how the strikes that were being called earlier are now balls for soriano…
like I said, nice night of partying last night on South Beach . . .
Not tonight we didn’t…
Wow… did that really just happen!?
July 28th, 200910:02 pm
Oh man, Soriano looked way too tired when he threw that pitch. Not only did it cost the game, but we have to get another reliever
The most impressive thing to me is that the Braves are winning despite have Greg Norton on the team.
I’m looking to scrounge one game out of this series now folks. KK can’t get it done compared to Johnson.
at least the phillies are down by a run early
that really sucks!!
Gotta get to Johnson tomorrow…gotta.
i just hope this doesn’t start a slump for the team…these things have a way of doing that.
Well I won’t be complaining anymore about Bobby overusing Soriano if he loses command after 4 days off
Marlins only 2 games out of the WC lead at the end of the night…who’d a thunk it?
that’s tough. but what was Soriano supposed to do, he wasn’t getting anything called from Blue…sucks! Pitch at the knees on Ross was strike 3.
Mixxo: You’re sad.
July 28th, 200910:03 pm
Well, that’s baseball.
(Walks are killers).
Jerry Meals screwed it up plain and simple in my opinion. All night those pitches were strikes for both sides, but for Soriano, it’s not.
Yeah I think that ump was looking to get back at the Braves any way he could but Soriano threw that fastball right down the middle.
Well that sucked.
Folks, that was the nail in the Braves season right there! face it this Team is done!
Oh h*ll it’s one game. Soriano can’t be lights out every single time. Gotta think now in terms of winning the series, although that just got a little harder.
All 13000 fans there can rejoice…
Tough loss especially with KK against the ace tomorrow.
I told You Guys That Pro Player Stadium is a House of Horrors for the braves!
SomeOne Go Slap The “F….N” Ump!
So is that now the worst loss of the year? Probably.
That didn’t just happen did it? It would have been better had we not taken a lead.
That is not good. Over just like that. One of the best wins of the year and we lost. I’m sure they’re 13 fans enjoyed it.
July 28th, 200910:04 pm
We’re not winning tomorrow either. We just blew any chance of playoff baseball with this crushing loss.
These hurt and demoralize teams.
Gotta blame the friggin ump here except for walking the 1st man.
July 28th, 200910:05 pm
wow, prime example of how a won loss record means nothing for a pitcher…nunez comes into a tie game, give up the go ahead run and goes home with a win.
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
that is just gay…. you just hope we can bounce back and take the next two. soriano was bound to blow one eventually. it was going to happen sooner rather than later because of the work load over the entire season, but it still hurts. they have their ace going tomorrow and the braves better come ready for a battle.
we just cant let this loss turn into a long losing skid. we have to win tomorrow. its that simple.
Third place. Eff
Ump did shrink the zone in the ninth though.
Well it’s time to get off the old blog after that. No reason to try to argue with these fools saying the season is over because of 1 loss.
July 28th, 200910:06 pm
I can’t see to type through all the tears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No they can’t…half of them were Braves fans!
Theres Ross Gloads one shining moment. Whoever he is…
by can’t get it done do you mean 5 innings 2 ER? Because thats what KK has been doing all year
So is that now the worst loss of the year?
Um, no I think the blown lead in Philly was worse than this. Maybe even one of the losses to the Rockies before the break was worse too.
Cox is a MORON. Gload is a very good hitter. You had two guys up after Gload who he could have knocked the bat out of their hands. Coghlin and Bonafacio DO NOT get around on Soriano.
I’ll take it, but you can tell I’m objective enough to know we did not deserve it.
Thank You Bobby!! Tough loss guys. i have empathy whenever a game is lost like that. Teams i have followed have done that many times.
See you tomorrow.
PS–Hermidas, Come and take Jeremy home. He is lost.
The bird and the indian,
I’m right behind you!!
July 29th a bit early to tune us out of the WC trace, isn’t it, Mixxo?
Seems like we rebounded nicely from that shutout in Milwaukee that some opined would signal The End of All Life.
A little perspective is a beautiful thing.
Damn Mixxo, you’re just a bowl of sunshine huh?
OklahomaBrave I can’t see to type through all the tears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I have so been there!
That’s a shame. Soriano threw 2 strikes to Ross that weren’t called and fell behind on the pinch hitter when the ump didn’t call the 1st strike to him. What hurt the most though is that play by Anderson. 2 runs scored on that, not to mention Chipper and Mac striking out with runners at 1st and 2nd 1 out. Oh well, lets get em tomorrow.
Joebrave knows it all. We lose a game, now the season is over…you heard it from Joebrave first.
July 28th, 200910:07 pm
THIS WILL CHEER UP THOSE MAD ABOUT TONIGHTS LOSS……….
Woman charged with running strip club in basement
An alleged illegal strip club inside a Lawrenceville home attracted up to 200 people, including teenagers in the middle of the night, a neighbor said.
Gwinnett County police allege Constance Trahan, a carpenter by trade, ran a strip club in the basement of this home on Purcell Road in Lawrenceville. Friends of Trahan deny the charge.
Megan Matteucci, firstname.lastname@example.org Gwinnett County police allege Constance Trahan, a carpenter by trade, ran a strip club in the basement of this home on Purcell Road in Lawrenceville. Friends of Trahan deny the charge.
Are the Braves sure they want to stand pat at the deadline now?
July 28th, 200910:08 pm
Thank God I wasn’t watching when it happened, because I would have broken something.
So is that now the worst loss of the year? Probably
Wish the people that think the season is over would just leave the blog.
CANNOT afford to lose games like that no matter how good you have been playing…those kinds of losses can turn momentum against you
the Phillies would not have lost that game and right now that is the diffrence…
had a chance to be 2 games behind the ROCKIES and maybe 6 behind hte Phillies and that all goes on ONE PITCH
that said…you could feel it coming the way the UMP SHRUNK THE STRIKE ZONE…he was squeezing SORIANO soooooo much he had to throw it right down the middle
kirknga So is that now the worst loss of the year?
Um, no I think the blown lead in Philly was worse than this.
Ah, yes…my b-day.
Jake W not to mention Chipper and Mac striking out with runners at 1st and 2nd 1 out.
Yeah, let’s not mention that/ Especially since those last two “strikes” to BMac were outside the zone.
Braves are Working on a trade as we speak.
July 28th, 200910:09 pm
The Imposters are gone & the real Braves are BACK
I sense a losing streak coming on cause …
This team has a will to lose & lose they will
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
