What just happened?
Wow. I’ll never see that again.
Nova Scotia Steve
SO let’s take avantage of a massive/lucky play
Frenchy struck out swinging.
Good job Petey.
Whatshisnames no-no is over.
July 28th, 20099:46 pm
It’s Hard to figure Petey-Pabb Out…
He will Have 3 outings in a row where he is lights out followed by 3 not so good outings…
It may be due to the fact that he gets overused at times…
look at escobar with his head in the game…
Buehrle just walked a batter. Still has a no-no and just set the record for batters retired (43 in a row). WOW!
July 28th, 20099:47 pm
OK….time to score some runs….and then bring in the Scowl.
I remember when everyone wanted Hermida on the Braves
Bill Hahn owes the Braves Bobby and Chipper a call or two.
Good Peter tonight. Nasty stuff to Uggla who promptly proceeded to SO.
Alert play by Esco. Esco is a gamer!
Come on Yunel…make me right! Game winning hit in the 9th inning!
Too late. Both are over.
… and there goes Buehrle’s no-no.
July 28th, 20099:48 pm
Jeff fouled off the first two and the swung and missed at one down and out of the zone
can’t say I miss that
Who says Yunels not paying attention?
Shouldn’t the 1st base coach be looking for that sort of thing. Great job Yunel!!
I like Casey’s happy little jump there. Hahahaa awesome. Loaf just barely tosses the ball to Yunel, Yunel fires a damn rocket to Casey, dude wasn’t paying attention, Casey tagged him out.
(For the guy who asked what just happened)
Yea Petey complains to me all the time that his arm hurts…. I’m glad I don’t play every day
That second pitch was NOT a strike
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
bobby is such an idiot! why wouldnt he keep norton in the game for his bat? jesus….
Kinda hard to screw up ….as a 1B coach….Andy just did…
I think I’m more nervous about the White Sox game than the Braves.
I have a feeling he lost it, something about a ball in the dirt against the Twins. If that guy throws back to back perfect games my head will explode.
July 28th, 20099:49 pm
first he gives up the perfect game, then the no hitter and finally the shut out … all in a row
*come on braves, score here and you get to face the bottom of their order in the btm of the 9th
Don’t Include Me…
I was left in the Dust when the “Trade For Hermida Bandwagon” was hot on the street!
I was indifferent about it…
July 28th, 20099:50 pm
If the Marietta Mutt played for the Braves, what would be the reaction in a REAL baseball city to this guy?/ Truthfully!! How would the usually calm people of Atlanta react to a guy who has all the mental toughness of Bambi after his/her parent got whacked by the hunter. Hermida will be back in Marietta in 5 years coaching high school baseball–Well, he’ll need to get the degree first.
There We Go LOAF!!!!
G-Anderson haters wake up!
LOAF! LOAF! LOAF!
Wat to Go !!!!!!!!!!!
TURN on that pitch and DRIVE it!
Well, Garret made up for that little misplay in LF, don’t you think?
Professional Homer folks
Loaf on blackberry trotting around bases
That’s professional hitting.
why do people throw GA fastballs?
GA is money! Bring in the Scowl!
July 28th, 20099:51 pm
Bring on The Scowl !!!!!
I was just fixin’ to call that !!!!!!!!!
He can be a loaf…hit like that!
I love that guy!
And sounds like a lot of Braves fans in attendance.
Anyone notice Derek Lowe ALWAYS has a ball in his hand….ALWAYS
Alright Garret, I take back what I said earlier. I almost love you now.
Loaf burned JJ’s Win, but not the game.
My guy Mac
There’s my guy Garret!
Let’s get one more run, no?
The Professional Hitter Known As “Loaf” Has been Clowning! Over the Last 6 weeks!
That Is The First Time I’ve Seen Loaf Smile!
Great recognition by Yunel of some loafing on the basepath by Hermeda.
WOW!!! Now GA just hits a dinger to right. WOOHOOO!!!
Every position player (except maybe diaz?) Has hit a home run during this run.
July 28th, 20099:52 pm
Careful GA…you’re play the last few months may just make people stop bashin’ ya. (Up to .295 and hitting with some power of late.)
Loafalicious!!!!!! The Loafster!
heyward 1 for 1 with a single in 2nd game
The Bird and Indian
Mixxo: Yeah you also called that this game was over in the 4th inning when we were down a run. Good one.
Turn her over to Soriano and let’s make up another game on the Rockies!
The Marlins will probably just run to the showers instead of coming up to face MFIKY.
July 28th, 20099:53 pm
“anderson owns nunez” yup
That a baby, GA!
RHR, If there weren’t Braves fans there you would have about 4,000 actual people instead of the actual 9,000.
OK, GA for cleanup, I don’t care!
This ump is really annoying, BTW. Keeps calling that outside thing a strike, and IT’S NOT!!
I can’t remember who it was on this blog that said Soriano’s nickname “The Scowl” is better than “I’ll Kill You”…
I think both of them fit
Come on Soriano!
lets go Soriano
July 28th, 20099:54 pm
Why would ANYONE throw Anderson a fastball!? Seriously! Please keep doing it though!?
Now Soriano closes it out and we just pray that we can get a run or two off Johnson tomorrow and Kawakami has his stuff going.
Sori’s gonna have to earn this save
I knew carving the boys up in the fourth inn. would bring this.
Get on my back kids, on to the promised land.
Eric from MO
McFann as long as he is consistent for both teams I am fine with it.
July 28th, 20099:55 pm
a ramirez just tied it up for the cubs with a 3 run hr
Lovin Le Loafy Loco!
Garret didn’t want to play extra innings.
I have to say, that shot of Garret in the dugout laughing was the 1st time I’ve seen the dude smile while contributing with a key hit.
Good for LOAF.
Bring on Raffy to shut them down!
Are you not entertained…The scowl !
Time to carve some marlin Soriano
MoFickee in the howse.
July 28th, 20099:56 pm
Ahhh, MISTER Anderson. That was the sound of inevitability…..
Time To Get Nervous, The Braves Never make it easy on us…!
Rob from SC
July 28th, 20099:57 pm
That was a Pro AB by Loaf!
Lead off walk is not good.
WHERE WAS THAT PITCH
How in the blue hell is that not a strike?
Now the strike zone shrinks?
GA has got to be the quietest .300 hitter for the Braves ive ever seen
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
