Thankfully Bonafacio and Ramizer bailed out Gonzo by having impatient at bats and swinging at balls and pitches in the dirt.

cabravesfan – wow – totally agreed with you on JJ’s removal (i.e. against it) and you misconstrued it – you are so lucky that I am completely in the tank for you. As a consequence, you must drink a little more wine, and I will consider additional modes of punishment.

Seriously, Miami should be ashamed, this is a good, young exciting team. I’m not sure how you argue they deserve a franchise. The Oklahoma City Marlins…now that Los Angeles Lakers weird.

Greg Norton HAS to be the worst player in all of baseball. I guess he isn’t content with being an automatic out, he has to be 2 automatic outs per AB now.

Hard choice the people in Miami…South Beach…or the Marlins. Yeah…I can really justify bashing the decision there.

two huge strikeouts by the NL batting leader (H. Ramirez) tonight, one with a runner at third and one out in the fifth, and that one with two on to end the seventh in a tie game.

Correct RHR, but does his diminutive fatness outweigh the ability to enter a Dwarf House door and clear it by a foot? In poundage? Fat azz prolly still weighs 100.

Dave, I’m telling you it’s really hard to believe a team with no fans, no stadium, no big TV deal, and basically no owner has won 2 more World Series in the last 16 years than the Cubs have won in last 100 and of course 1 more than Milwaukee/Atlanta has won in last 51. Very strange!!!

Art of managing. Piniella just pinch hits for a position player with sacks full in the 4th inning with TWO out and guy delivers. The Cubs who were losing big are now back in a game that is winnable. Bobby would never do anything unconventional or operate on a hunch. Sometimes you just can’t play close to the vest.

Yes. Once, in the late 1930’s or early 40’s, pretty sure it was like 1938 or 1939 — Johnny Vandermeer of the Reds.

If someone throws a perfect game, yet the team gets an error on a pop-FOUL ball, and the end boxscore results in 0-0-1 does the pitcher still get credit for a “perfect” game?
