Congratulations GREG NORTON, you’ve now become completely useless!
Why does Bobby insist on trotting out that BUM out there in a key pinch hitter’s spot? Is he our “best off the bench bat”? Hell no…but That’s one of BOBBY’s BOYS and until Wren DFA Cox will continue to use him and cost the BRAVES in late game situations.

why even take jair out? we could have saved the bullpen another inning and that bum norton wouldnt have grounded into a double play. jair could have sacrificed church to second.

That hole that the Braves got rid of by trading Frenchy, demoting K’fer, and benching KJ, has reappeared with Norton. You see Cox reluctant to trust any bullpen guys other than Moylan, Gonzo, and Sori…but then he keeps putting Norton up to bat.

With Norton on the team, we officially go to battle every night with 26 men for the opponent and 24 men for the Braves. And Norton is the opponent’s best player. Go figure.

Allow me to second-guess Bobby; why let Greg Norton pinch-hit for Jurrjens when Norton’s JUST as much a “sure-out” as Jurrjens is to begin with? I mean, I could SEE Kelly Johnson or Matt Diaz, but Greg freaking Norton?
So now you’ve taken our starter out after 98 pitches (one more inning was in the tank, I’d guess) and we’re the first team to the bullpen in a game that could go extras. Nevermind the fact that our starter was in a groove, and our bullpen is erratic when not efficient, and that’s a toss of the coin.
I have a feeling we’ll wind up regretting that decision, but hope otherwise.

I just know that Brooks Conrad would have had a better AB than Norton in that situation, but Mr Conrad was sent back down just so one of Bobby’s Boys can be on the 25 man roster.
Frank Wren needs to put his fraking foot down on Bobby Cox and just “take away” the option to use Norton by DFA asap.
Don’t even wait until Omar comes back, b/c that’s 2 more weeks of Greg Norton!
