Nice DP…The Brewers announcer says is still now running well…with a hamstring injury…
Dude it was a nice quick double play…need a rocket up rear end to beat that out at first!
Yes, Johnson got a hit – Wow! A trend. Yep, we need to put Ol’ Iron Glove and Can’t-figure-out-where-to-throw-the-ball-on-a-DP-chance back at 2B permanently. (Err, I think those are Johnson’s Indian names.)

Braves lead 1-0 through five. Lowe is pitching well. Defense looks good overall.
<sarcasm on>BALLGAME! Brewers are going to win!<sarcasm off>
Can we at least wait til the Brewers are ahead to call this one?
Phillies will not give up what it takes to get Halladay.
this team fails to do the basic things you learn in the minors knowing the situation when batting…… runner on 3rd 1 out dont have to do to much just get a pitch that you can hit in the outfield and at the least make contact, or runner on 1st or 2nd no outs bunt em over or hit a grounder to the right side, those are so basic and this team must make those lays to Win cause we cant depend on the homer everyday
July 26th, 20093:30 pm
The Phillies have it wrapped up w/o Halladay. Braves playing for the WC now….
Quick game…wow Top of 6

I think that Bob Uecker is more famous for his role in the Major League movies and those old Miller Lite commercials than he was for playing baseball

SOS @ 3:25 just created a new blog low for the downers to aspire to…
Declared the game lost with the Braves ahead on the scoreboard. Wow. Nicely done!
Got the DP didn’t it?!!
Lets go bats !!!!
DLowe is pitching great only 67 pitches prolly will go 2 more innings, he defintly giving the team a chance to get a more comfortable lead, if we bring in Moylan for the8th were screwed ………..
OK no more Yunel hitting 3rd.

Please Steve, you’re a human just like the rest of us. You aren’t some bias-free aton looking soley at data and spitting out an answer. KJ is your guy and every blogger here knows it just as sure as we know that McFann’s has a soft spot for a certain player too.
I’m not going to start arguing with you about what your sabermetrics tell you. I see limitation that you don’t. When it comes to KJ, you give me a number that doesn’t tell you that he’s hot for 6-8 weeks of the season and for the rest, he’s is not above average by any metric or stretch of the imagination.
I think he’s a good guy. And I think he deserves a “fresh start” just like Francoeur.
And in any event, if he’s as wonderful as you say, then he will fetch a nice return which is what it is all about.
And maybe that is why you can’t see your bias. We are talking about using an assets, one that is expendable (especially when Infante returns and with a serviceable Conrad down at AAA), to improve the team.
You are arguing solely to keep that asset which is the wrong question to be asking right now. It’s about the team, not KJ specifically, but moving him helps both I think. You can follow him just as easily in another uniform, don’t worry.
Steve from OH
Hey, DOB gettin some face time on MLB network…good for you, Dave!
I see they didn’t let him wear his leather jacket…
That’s a funny story about the check.
Braves actually have less hits than the Brewers so far. Looper is not this good men. Let’s get some hits already.
Agree with abwright that we need to remain optimistic but man we’ve seen the braves blow many of these in the later innings, so hard to watch… many games I just give up here and go do something else since I can’t stand to watch them lose and would rather be pleasantly surprised later when I’ve seen they’ve actually held on to win one!!!

A WALK!! Boo-yah!
Some nice boobies behind the left batters box. Just fyi
Need a professional hit here

C’mon, dude, give me more credit than that.
Heath– Tony Kubek was a good announcer, but I really remember him more as a player. But especially that play in the World Series where an incredibly bad hop clobbered him in the head and cost the Yankees the Series. Baseball is a game of inches and people claimed the ball hit a pebble.
DOB just did his intro to Nick Peters at the Hall of Fame ceremony. A briskly-paced enunciation of the salient facts … without a single shout-out to McFann, et. al.!
The Phillies ain’t wrapped up shat. How many times we play them again?
I spy some boobs too
Apparently there are a lot of boobs on this blog too.
Offense Come On…! Get The Fcking Run In!
sorry for all the typos, didn’t proof read.
July 26th, 20093:35 pm
Loafy Loaf. Someone, PULEEEEEZ get Mac in. No more stranding.
Garret Anderson is a good 0-2 hitter.
Must be his professional approach at the plate
SQUEEZE !!!!!…For the love of all that is holy….SQUEEZE !!!!!!
McCann was trying to honor Ricky Henderson’s HoF induction with that steal attempt.
Diaz needs some redemption, here.
I always like Uecker on Mr. Belvedere
Lets see how the Braves screw up this scoring opportunity.
McLouth of the South –
SOS is a realist MOTS. A 1-0 lead late for us is tenuous at best, especially given our (non)-ability to come back late in games.
1-0? Yeah, it’s nice, but we need more.
good job Loaf here is another one of these situations………….
here we go again. Runner in scoring position. Lets execute. Just a deep fly ball to the outfield and Brian scores.
BMac showing off the wheels!
kirknga we know that McFann’s has a soft spot for a certain player too.
Gov. Clinton Tyree
Thank you, Superhoo. Good eye!
July 26th, 20093:36 pm
MATTY DIAZ….atta boy!!!!
Wonder what Loaf just said to Fielder… “Hit it up over ya azz that time!
There ya go, Matty! 2-0 lead.
There We Go Matty-D, About Time!!!
Or…get a bingle…either is fine with me…
Let’s hear more crapping on Diaz!
Nice hit Mattie…. he’s been doing that all year!
Yay! All that Diaz smack talking worked. Nice job Matty.
good job Matty thats def better than the sac fly
finally gets that 2nd run!
July 26th, 20093:37 pm
I see Frank Drebin is no longer behing the plate…
Finally….some back-to-back hits. Lets get a few more!
Really? Dangit, Chief!
abwright McCann was trying to honor Ricky Henderson’s HoF induction with that steal attempt.
He sure was!
That’s right Matt, good way to redeem yourself.
Yes. Throughout his career, Kelly has been a streaky hitter. Give me one good reason why he isn’t capable of sustaining the hot-streak throughout his career or becoming more consistent. Just give me a good reason and I’ll start doggin’ KJ with you. But I’ve never heard one reason as to why he isn’t capable of overcoming the streaky-ness. And until I hear one, I’m going to continue to support him in hopes that he’s able to. Because he is a talented player, a young player, a cheap player, and if he overcomes the streaky-ness, he could become one of the best 2B in the game. Giving up on him just because you’re frustrated with his streaky-ness is a terrible way to run an organization.
Get Kelly up there…he’ll bring home the bacon !!
July 26th, 20093:38 pm
KOTCHMEN HITS A BOMB..
Wake up Kotchman smack talkers!
Nevermind..the bacon was just “delivered”…!!
Well Steve, then you should join us in speculating which need KJ will help the team address rather than telling us how ++ he is. At this point he’s expendable, or maybe you are arguing that they should trade Infante or Prado? Is that it?
Because someone has to go, and the team has needs.
Come get in my poster! Hurry, it may be your only chance!
Thw Kotchmeister Comes Through, Hell Yeah!!!!
JONRON! CASEY KROTCHMAN!!!
I cant believe that the A’s get a top prospect plus 2 others for Holliday and we only Kotchman and a pitcher will never see in the bigs for Tex that just baffles me
Good lord Casey put that one in the upper deck
Way to drive em in Kotch!
Suck it Kotchman haters!!
Show some POWER, Krotch!
Braves up 5-0.
Like I said…. I’ll take Kotchman’s production where it’s at!!!!
Casey Kotchman doesn’t hit barely-enough HR’s. They’re either no-doubters or they don’t go.
Oh mah gosh. CK!
Mixxo, it’s all you!
Boy did Kotch need that!
July 26th, 20093:39 pm
He looked as surprised as Jeff used to look when he got a hit.
All right, Kotchy!! Atta boy!!
WHOA! Why cant Casey hot it that hard everytime????
CK got all of that one.
Casey at the bat!!! Looks like there is joy in Mudville!!
did kotch really just hit a 3-run HR…really? or was that a typo on gamecast?
I do what I can Boss !
I’m a team guy !
Mixxo you gotta be kidding me… he declared the game OVER with the Braves ahead…. by 5 as we speak. Attaboy Casey!
We Got This Game In the Bag!!!
I know RHR is gonna get Pissed, Because I’m playing with her emotions…!
there is that small burst of power for Casey , we’ll have to wait for next month to see it agian tho, just keep sliuck fielding and getting hits and it’ll be good
July 26th, 20093:40 pm
Good walk Kelly!
Too bad Drebin wasnt the HP ump a couple years ago when we had Kolb closing
That was not upper deck…?
July 26th, 20093:41 pm
Kotchman is the worst excuse for a baseball player that ever lived.Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust
You were dead on again! Thanks for your input.
Milwaukee: You have been “Krotched”
ok I’m just going to say this…
I’m super happy its 5-0…..but Looper IS NOT pitching well…this should be an 8 or 9-0 game…
So that really was a big jack by Kotch to break this open a little for some breathing room
I agree. I think Frank Wren handicapped himself when he demanded a 1B in return. Why not just get the best available package and worry about addressing 1B in the off-season?
Here comes the hook.
that wasn’t a strike that he bunted at
