Jeff321…….I know, it was a pretty funny quote. I have always felt that Bobby Cox was a good “player’s manager”. However, his loyalty to certain players who have shown with their play that they dont deserve to be playing………is beyond comprehension.
I’m all for sticking with a guy who is slumping. For instance, look at Nate McLouth. I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with Nate McLouth continuing to play, even though he is 3 for his last 32. Slumps happen. When McLouth first got to the Braves, he struggled in his first 10 games, not showing a lot of power. Then he went on a power run, mixing in a number of doubles with some homers. McLouth has shown me that when he busts out of it, he will be fine. Plus he will draw some walks.
However, I’m not for sticking with players like Greg Norton.
Necromancer……….it’s good that you have “seen the light” with Vazquez. I supported the trade back in the winter. However a number of posters RIPPED Frank Wren, crying about how we will come to regret giving up that Flowers kid.

Unfortunately I have to get off of here and go to the club I run security for in Atlanta. It’s a fun job – lots of pretty women and plenty of jerks I can toss out the door. We have a code word for trouble makers == Paul Lentz. LOL
Ahh I can hear it now over the radio, “Paul Lentz is bugging the waitress again” , “Paul Lentz just puked in the girls room”, “Paul Lentz needs to get tossed on his ass”, and my personal favorite — “Paul Lentz is passed out on the patio deck drooling on himself with puke on his shirt” LOLOL

What’s funny Tomahawkin is that most fans from other teams what they team play the Braves and think to themselves “wow, I wish our 1B had that kind of glove”
I think most anti-Kotch guys are coming around though, he doesn’t just not commit many errors, he makes plays he shouldn’t be able to.
“You bet. Happ, Donald, Marson, Drabek=Harrison, Elvis, Salty, Feliz. Mr. Ricciardi, you can make that out to “cash.””
Steve, I actually think all of the Braves prospects there are better than the Phils, except that Happ > Harrison. I’m really interested to see what he goes for. I’l be honest, I think he “should” go for Happ, 3 players out of Drabek, Brown, Tayor and Knapp. And 2 additional players out of Carrasco, Donald, D’Arnaud, Marson. So 6 in all, would be my intitial asking price for Roy. I’d expect only slightly less than that. If JP doesn’t get Drabek, Happ, and one of Brown or Taylor plus 2 more, he should pack his bags.
