You and DOB have the best gig around.
I envy you guys!
TP doing work? Lies. The internet says TP doesn’t do anything.
Get hot Nate.
Jeff321…….I know, it was a pretty funny quote. I have always felt that Bobby Cox was a good “player’s manager”. However, his loyalty to certain players who have shown with their play that they dont deserve to be playing………is beyond comprehension.
I’m all for sticking with a guy who is slumping. For instance, look at Nate McLouth. I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with Nate McLouth continuing to play, even though he is 3 for his last 32. Slumps happen. When McLouth first got to the Braves, he struggled in his first 10 games, not showing a lot of power. Then he went on a power run, mixing in a number of doubles with some homers. McLouth has shown me that when he busts out of it, he will be fine. Plus he will draw some walks.
However, I’m not for sticking with players like Greg Norton.

Doesn’t Hanson pitch tomorrow
Be productive Natey Nate.
Nova Scotia Steve
McLouth needs a hit or a break or something
Nice AB Nate!
Jim Powell: “I don’t want to sit here and talk about Milwaukee all night. Our team is the Braves!”
Take that, Chip Caray!
I like this Parra guy.
Necromancer……….I’ll be watching every game, rooting for my Braves………hoping that I’m wrong.
Bunt with Prado? Stay out of DP?
July 24th, 20098:44 pm
Good Ab’s so far working the count really good i feel a big inning coming
Everybody taking pitches and working the count today. Well done.
Yeah, I still don’t understand the Norton deal.
Why is this dude so special?
Good AB Nate!
WHy is PRADO not BUNTING?
July 24th, 20098:45 pm
Konerko for president!!!
Prado HATERS wake up and smell the JACK!

July 24th, 20098:46 pm
Pitching, Defense, and the 3-run homer.
The Earl Weaver Special.
Marc from FL
I put Prado on my fantasy team as soon as he became the everyday 2B (had to cause I had KJ before, lol). I’m loving this, where’s my popcorn?
Hell YEAH, MARTIN!!!!
Necromancer……….it’s good that you have “seen the light” with Vazquez. I supported the trade back in the winter. However a number of posters RIPPED Frank Wren, crying about how we will come to regret giving up that Flowers kid.
Meanwhile……..PRADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Dude is raking at the plate. He better keep raking because Bobby Cox is itching to get Kelly Johnson some playing time.
Prado comes threw again!!!
We must be pissed about yesterday
Man, where would we be if we’d been hitting like this all year??
wow, martin, wow!!
Sticks are nice and hot…nice and hot I tell ya
i guess that’s why he’s not bunting
So…I guess no bunt to stay out of DP.
Feast Or Famine Offense…! Lets Enjoy the Feast!
This is making me feel a little better and that yesterday was the exception, not the rule.
Even Chip is playin a little ball tonite, must’ve taken his Geritol!!!
Another hit for Chipper

WHy is PRADO not BUNTING? Whoops, that’s why.

It has to be, right
You bet. Happ, Donald, Marson, Drabek=Harrison, Elvis, Salty, Feliz. Mr. Ricciardi, you can make that out to “cash.”
Good to see Freeman take a walk today.
This ain’t the same offense the Brewers faced last time around. Largely thanks to Mr. Prado.
Wayne in Utah
Sounds like the Braves didn’t get the message that they are all depressed by the shipment of Conrad to Gwinnett, huh???
Chipper with a 2nd knock
K, let’s make a pact, for now on everytime a Brave hits a homer we scream “TAKE THAT PIGGLY YOU FAT WIGGLY!”
Does Anyone Agree That Martin Prado is Our Best #2 Hitter Since The 2007 Version of Renteria…?
BMac just missed on his two drives tonight
Brian has been just missing A LOT
wow … that kinda looked like a popup at first but he hit that to the warning track
Mac’s driving the ball tonight, too bad there couldn’t be just a little wind
July 24th, 20098:48 pm
Is Milwaukee going to keep trotting Parra out there? I personally think he is a great buy low candidate. Just my opinion. Kid has good stuff.
good damage control para
I can not wait for August 1st so that we can stop talking about the Halladay trade crap already….one way or the other.
Parra sure isn’t fooling anybody.
Professional hitter here folks
Unfortunately I have to get off of here and go to the club I run security for in Atlanta. It’s a fun job – lots of pretty women and plenty of jerks I can toss out the door. We have a code word for trouble makers == Paul Lentz. LOL
Ahh I can hear it now over the radio, “Paul Lentz is bugging the waitress again” , “Paul Lentz just puked in the girls room”, “Paul Lentz needs to get tossed on his ass”, and my personal favorite — “Paul Lentz is passed out on the patio deck drooling on himself with puke on his shirt” LOLOL
Alright, BIG KNOCK — BIIIIIG KNOCK PRADO !!!!! (Major League 1989) “Oh yeah, I love this stuff, I might move to England !!!”
Who’s winning the match?
July 24th, 20098:49 pm
I apologize if this has been addressed but why is the roof closed?
Uh, I think that was Martin’s way of saying “I ain’t going back to the bench, KJ Pipp”
He better keep raking because Bobby Cox is itching to get Kelly Johnson some playing time. Paul Lentz
Perish the thought, dude…
I mean…did I say I hate “almost homer”? What I meant was, “I hate 12 game hitting streaks.” Yeah yeah…that’s it…
let’s go matty
July 24th, 20098:50 pm
Watching Prince Sing and Play defense at First makes me thankful that we have the Kotchmeister! even though his offensive numbers don’t impress most fans…
Alright….who bets they show the “How bout foosball” commercial this next break?
If you get Konerko they will come!
What confidence Bobby Cox showed there with Prado, not having him sacrifice. Good call, and Prado rewarded him. He can rake.
Rain in the forecast apparently
4 of 8 position players in the lineup have above a .300 average. Not bad.
How funny would it be if KJ was playing 2nd this inning
July 24th, 20098:51 pm
I’m watching Brewers feed and they said rain is in the area.
I take it you mean wins?
I’m watching the FS Wisconsin feed. (Not sure if they showed this on SS or not.) I wonder what Cox was talking to Prado about after that home run?
July 24th, 20098:52 pm
Why’s Prado still in the game? I thought KJ was Bobby’s Boy.
Thanks all- appreciate the info
I see the G-Braves are roughing up Carlos Carrasco tonight…nice.
July 24th, 2009
Doesn’t this stadium have a retractable roof?
Offense still very much alive! No negative tone setting here. These are the Braves who won 6 games last homestand
it is raining outside in ML (cabravesfan)
July 24th, 20098:53 pm
What’s funny Tomahawkin is that most fans from other teams what they team play the Braves and think to themselves “wow, I wish our 1B had that kind of glove”
I think most anti-Kotch guys are coming around though, he doesn’t just not commit many errors, he makes plays he shouldn’t be able to.
So, any other ideas besides the cage match?
“You bet. Happ, Donald, Marson, Drabek=Harrison, Elvis, Salty, Feliz. Mr. Ricciardi, you can make that out to “cash.””
Steve, I actually think all of the Braves prospects there are better than the Phils, except that Happ > Harrison. I’m really interested to see what he goes for. I’l be honest, I think he “should” go for Happ, 3 players out of Drabek, Brown, Tayor and Knapp. And 2 additional players out of Carrasco, Donald, D’Arnaud, Marson. So 6 in all, would be my intitial asking price for Roy. I’d expect only slightly less than that. If JP doesn’t get Drabek, Happ, and one of Brown or Taylor plus 2 more, he should pack his bags.
I don’t know much about Alan Butts, but he just went down a couple notches in my book. Nickelback?
(I originally had “I don’t know much about Butts” until I took a look at it)

Yee-hah! Braves actually threw to first on a bunt.
