Mitchie-san, where do you live now? I only no a little bit about FT Walton, I moved here because of the construction, it was great, not so much now. It’s nice to have the beach though.
Counsell may be the real victim here of the throwback jerseys. And I’m pretty sure they had to trade away a minor leaguer for cash just to pay for the fabric required to make Prince’s uni.
The Rays are likely “to see what they can get” for Carl Crawford after the season, and will hold onto prospects they consider keepers.
I know everybody would like for the Braves to go after him. Who would do you fellow bloggers think should be offered if the Braves were interested(minus Heyward, of course)?
anybody have a website that can link link the braves game live. Im not at home and http://www.p2p4u.net.net doesnt work. Im at the inlaws house please help.
Nova Scotia Steve…………I know, it wouldnt be politically correct to put “black crackers” on the jerseys.
There’s a golfer on the PGA Tour named J.B. Holmes. When he first came on the tour as a rookie, his name on the leaderboard (before he won his first tournament) was John B. Holmes. A few weeks after he won his first tournament, all of a sudden, you start seeing J.B. Holmes on the leaderboard, lol.
Now dude went by John Holmes all his life. However, he gets on the PGA Tour, and it’s “either you become J.B. Holmes…..or you dont play golf anymore, lol”.
Personally, he should have stuck to his “given” name, the name he grew up with. If anything, people would notice him more. Any attention, from a marketing standpoint, is better than no attention at all.
By the way, for all my moaning about Milwaukee, I had a real nice afternoon run along the lake and an air show to watch, all at the same time. Very cool. And you can’t beat a 76-degree day in July.
BTW–Boog was talkin’ about that WP last night–when BMac tripped–and said BMac saw the video of it and was like, “Wow, that was worse than I thought it was.”
That was a very pitiful play. Felt bad for him there.
The other thing to remember about the scouting report on Happ – it’s one person’s opinion.(NCBravesFan)
not sure that I understand that about one person’s opinion. Literally dozens of people have scouted Happ over the years.
He is off to a great start but the sample size is way to small to tell us anything meaningful about it. Sure sometimes they scouts are wrong and a guy performs better than expected, but usually they are in the ball park. It will take severaly years to see which is which for sure, but they have certainly received value from him so far that will always have been there no matter the rest of his career. I would include him in a deal for Halladay depending of course on the rest of the players involved. Right now the odds are that Halladay would help more in the near future, but like any trade it’s a gamble. Not sure he would make them a lock, but I would likely be willing to bet that they would win the division. Might not happen though. I hope it doesn’t.
The temps are wonderful down here in November through March but you have to love the water to live down here in the summer. It will go months and not get below 80 degrees. Look at the next 5 day forecast for the Keys.
PWHjort – I totally disagree about Prince Fielder – they just keep using very unflattering camera angles (sorry – I just feel like someone needs to pick a fight – not much controversy so far)
Where’d the offense go???
