Almost game time folk….I’m getting a little pumped up here…
Hope its a “ahem” Professional Line-Up this evening…
July 25th, 20096:56 pm
Sick to see all these frustrated Dodger fans climbing out of their cocoons they’ve been in for 20 years.
I guess that pales in comparison to the 43 year cocoon youve been in with the Falcons, a team that has NEVER had back to back winning seasons. Try and match that record of futility in any professional sport lol
July 25th, 20096:58 pm
McFann: your 6:15 …….muchas hilarioso!
July 25th, 20096:59 pm
TurnThePage (July 25th, 2009 6:29 pm): “Chipper Jones and Brian McCann need to come through a little more often in some of these situations. I know that Chipper eventually hit the solo home run to put Atlanta ahead once again, but Jones whiffed with the bases loaded . . . “
Chipper last night: 3 for 4 with a HR, 2 BBs, 1 RBI and 2 Runs scored — .750/.833/1.500 –, and you obsess on his one “failure”?
cabravesfan – so far we have journeyed from 1976 to 1985, and I guess I will stop for now. Hopefully the Braves will not send me back to the video until after the game.
July 25th, 20097:03 pm
Okay call me a dumb ass, but why is the game blacked out on mlb.com. I just signed up to watch the game on line, my only option, and no game.
July 25th, 20097:05 pm
Heyward hitting > 400 in AA. Any way we see him in AAA in August and then mlb in Sep, what odds ? (DogsB)
getting better all the time, I gather
Steve from OH
Bat–where do you live? You may be in a “blacked-out” area. Give their customer service folks a call in any case, they’re actually pretty helpful and will clear things up for you. Called ‘em a few times myself.
July 25th, 20097:06 pm
Glad it’s going good!
Yeah, when McLouth hit that homer, my first thought was, “Oh crud…I bet Chipper and Prado both get on…” Sure enough–first and second, that dreaded situation. I was nervous, really hoping he could get a hit, but it just wasn’t meant to be. The win made it easier to swallow. He cann start another streak tonight!
Have you noticed his skinned-up elbow?
I have. It’s been like that for quite a couple weeks, at least. I don’t think it’s from that crash into the wall on June 22–that would be a really long time…
Page 20 is where the really good stuff starts in the CT! Ends on page 22.
your 6:15 …….muchas hilarioso!
nolie–perhaps, but I hope not.
Alright, Braves, let’s do this.
Also, every time I think about the Brewers these two stories come to mind:
I hope they don’t start imagining Loaf as meatloaf.
Piedmont Blues (ex-BFIR)
If this team can score nine runs with Heap taking an 0-for-6, then I won’t complain!
and the HD version of the game not being shown on Uverse – again!
Try and match that record of futility…
The curse of Bobby Layne.

Nice night for a game in the land of beer and cheese with the negro league throwbacks, eh denizens?
Sweeeeeeet unis. Go Black Crackers… er, Braves.
Prince Fielder looks like a bear in that uni. Where’s his sombrero from last night……….didn’t he have to wear it to the park today?
July 25th, 20097:08 pm
July 25th, 2009
Do you live in one of the teams local area?
read the blackout rules?
Man, the Cards are collapsing,
Not blacked out here
July 25th, 20097:09 pm
Did ya see Ryan Church give Bobby Cox a tap on the butt….
That was pretty cool….not sure why but that was pretty cool
Carroll-Thanks for the update on Seth. It’s a shame cause he had TJ surgery a few years back whe he was in the Rays minor league system. Hope he doesn’t need the ulnar transposition surgery now.
July 25th, 20097:10 pm
The bagginess and the big collars on the Brewers’ unis make them look like hoodies.
And the red on the back pockets of the Braves’ pants are priceless.
Just tuned in on radio. Are both team wearing Retro Unis tonight?
Unis are definitely baggy. think they look better with the socks up…and there’s a leadoff single by McLouth
And there’s a nice start…
July 25th, 20097:11 pm
I hope those blouse-y britches don’t slow us down.
Prince Fielder actualy looks like a BEAR
MLB.COM says that I am blacked out in the Braves zone but I went ahead and tried anyway and it warned me but still lets me watch. Try again and see what you get.
July 25th, 20097:12 pm
great start 3 pitches 2 outs good job prado…..
July 25th, 20097:13 pm
Prince appears to be wearing more clothes than the entire greater Milwaukee area…
The WMLW feed is sub par. It looks like 4:3 along with the closed captioning code streaming across the top.
Guess I’ll watch the SS feed tonight.
Thanks Steve from OH, I will call.
bravefaninok, I live in the FL Panhandle, near Destin. I checked and it said my area was, Rays, Marlins. I going to look on the site for a number to call.
July 25th, 20097:14 pm
LuisG – Both teams are in throwback’s tonight. Brewers are in negro league Milwaukee Bears unis while the Braves are sporting Atlanta Black-Cracker unis.
B-Mac needs to forget about last night…ans rock a base hit
Mac goes down looking.
14-5 Philly now….YIKES
Rob from SC
July 25th, 20097:15 pm
McCann looks lost right now
Get MAC out of the 4 spot NOW!!
July 25th, 20097:16 pm
On the golden sombrero query: I heard that Fielder wore it home last night, BMac wore it to the park today!!
(sorry McFann )
I live in the FL Panhandle, near Destin. I checked and it said my area was, Rays, Marlins. I going to look on the site for a number to call.
They’ll probably just tell you to power cycle your modem. (Unplug the a/c cord, wait a minute or so, plus it back in and try again.)
I live in Fla, am blacked out from the Marlins/Rays and have no problems watching the Braves.)
July 25th, 20097:18 pm
Maybe McCann is having problems with the glasses. The Brewers guys said last night that it is so humid when the roof is closed that Eric Gagne’s glasses always fogged up.
Yeah…but that doesn’t mean I want it to happen again.
Har har. He won’t get his second career Golden Sombrero tonight!
July 25th, 20097:19 pm
Yikes, Tommy looks pale & weak to me.
July 25th, 20097:20 pm
-Greg in TN: Thank you.
I’m not able to watch the game, so can anyone tell me if the sickly Hanson’s velocity and whatnot look normal?
July 25th, 20097:21 pm
97 but crushed
Oh dammit it is now time to disassemble that gawdamned Philthies line-up I say bean Howard right in the hand when his first bat comes against us!!, then spike the hell outta Chase Ugly!!!
ok Hanson needs to stay away from Ryan Braun
July 25th, 20097:23 pm
Hanson’s throwin 94ish
Just walk this guy.
Let’s see if Hanson (now facing Fielder) payed attention to last night’s game or if he got some advice from Javier.
July 25th, 20097:24 pm
Meanwhile, in Philly, Reggie White took a Neil Lomax fumble in for a TD and the Eagles lead the Cardinals 14-5.
What’s wrong with Tommy, he got that crud again???
July 25th, 20097:25 pm
Pete……..I get to watch almost all the Braves games. The only ones I cant see is if the Braves have a day game on Saturday, then I will miss it (because Fox has the exclusive rights to televise the games until 4pm Pacific time). Most of the time, Fox doesnt show the Braves on the West Coast. I have the MLB Extra Innings package on Direct TV.
July 25th, 20097:26 pm
C’mon Tommmy, make him chase some high cheese!
Steve from OH
Thanks guys, I called and have the game now.
July 25th, 20097:27 pm
It’s a wonder fielder didn’t hit the roof with that one, sheesh that thing took forever to come down!
Hanson don’t look so good health-wise. Poor guy.
July 25th, 20097:28 pm
Hmmm… So much for “when it’s closed, it’s closed”
July 25th, 20097:29 pm
Professional pop fly there folks
ROOF IS OPENING!!
No, he doesn’t. Yeah, you cann definitely tell he doesn’t feel good.
Mac’ll be OK, the Prep-H ain’t had time to dissolve good yet…
Hey, the roof is opening….i guess the info i got was wrong, that once it’s closed it’s closed. nope, the thing is moving.
Gallardo looks tough tonight
Gunna be a tough game to win today I believe
July 25th, 20097:30 pm
For some reason, we just cannot hit off this guy. He has been walking a ton lately and we are swinging at the first pitch.
he looks horrible
Hey, a local reporter told me that. I’d figure he’d know. But he just looked it up in the Brewers media guide. They can open it once during a game. Now we know.
July 25th, 20097:31 pm
Escobar is HOT!
Yunel the Chippendale comes through once again.
Maybe some kinda roof terrorists have the operator at gunpoint.
July 25th, 20097:32 pm
I hate Kotchman.
July 25th, 20097:33 pm
Both Gallardo and Hanson have good looking curves at the outset.

I’m In the house after A pool party, so Whazzzup…?
2 innings only worked 20 pitches had 3 baserunners and 2 double plays ouch………
July 25th, 20097:34 pm
Francoeur finally drew his first walk as a Met. First walk in 99 at-bats, dating back to before the trade.
The A Bomb
Kirk Gibson. . . I’ve never been in a cocoon. Dodger fans have been — believe me. This is a Laker town.
Go ahead, Wren, trade Gonzo to the Dodgers for Two prospects, then flipem with kotch to Chisox for Konerko…
Then deal K.J., JoJo, and Sumoza to Baltimore for Sherrill, you’re gonna need him next year anyways!
Sounds like a decent pool party!!!
July 25th, 20097:35 pm
Hmm…Nuthin much. We went to see Up again today. Man, that is a good movie…
How was the party?
Is C.B. Bucknor Calling Balls and strikes tonight? If So we will get screwed on at least 2 calls tonight, “Bank On It!”
July 25th, 20097:36 pm
when was the last time Kotchman had a XBH
July 25th, 20097:37 pm
That was a Kotchman hit
The Brewers need to learn (from the Braves) the art of the one-pitch out.
Bucknor is one blind ass Ump!! I have counted at least ten strikes from Tommy that were called balls
July 25th, 2009
Thanks Steve from OH, I will call.
Sometimes you have to reset to get updated IP addy, glad you got it working.
July 25th, 20097:38 pm
Rob From SC…
I’m Already Gone…! Trying to recover a lil before hitting up the club later… My Narrow Ass is drained…! I’m gonna cook a steak…
I had Way too many shots of Jager! “Blame it on the Alcohol!” I’m tired of hearing that song!!!
Great play Escobar
Wow, Kotchman saves one of Yunel’s whacked out throws.
Kotchman is slow as mallasass, decent bat, best defensive 1st baseman in the NL is he doesnt win the gold glove is bull sh1t defintly if he go errorless agian
Good Play on Both ends!
Kotchmen has his pants tucked into his socks or something…anyway…whatever gets the job done…but its looks horrible…not professional at all…
That’s if you go by Garret Anderson’s standards ofcourse
Great play by Escobar to get that ball on the hop and a great grab and tag by Kotchman.
July 25th, 20097:39 pm
Great play on both ends there…
Yunel’s glove work has been OUTSTANDING the past few weeks, to go along with him hot bat.
I guess I was wrong about keeping Yunel, right njbraves?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
