Throw strikes but don’t give them anything over the plate to hit……
July 24th, 20099:31 pm
cabravesfan, my love -wine with dinner – know issures with drinking straite…thinking state…drinking grape…whatever
Nova Scotia Steve
Looks like Hart is heatin up
Another one goes right past Chipper Jones…
Party Hardy! do it again buddy.
That Hart dude is one UGLY mofo…
July 24th, 20099:32 pm
Here it comes…
July 24th, 20099:33 pm
Mets – Astros,
Runner on 2nd and Wright up to bat – IBB so that Hampto9n can pitch to Frenchie to get out of the inning. But he singles in a run. Thats how he got his 8 RBIs.
cabravesfan -you’re too easy to play with – and I appreciate it
This game is CRAWLING right along
dang die azz
Look at Matty!
Jeff ducks from that ball?
July 24th, 20099:34 pm
Mets tie the game 3-3 in the top of the 5th. Francoeur gets one of his “high pop up that falls in front of the centerfielder because he was playing deep” kind of hits to tie the game at 3-3.
Woohoo Manny Parra still in the game!
….knew someone would comment on JF. Just can’t let it go.
Atleast it is pertinent since we are competing with Houston for the WC.
July 24th, 20099:35 pm
II Cattivo Woohoo Manny Parra still in the game!
July 24th, 20099:36 pm
Let’s have another long inning…only scoring this time. Sound good?
Steve from OH
McFann–we’ve all been bad influences on you, huh?
July 24th, 20099:37 pm
Phils down 5 now thats good news
Here we go
Cmon McFann, he gave up 4 runs. Trust him to give up more, especially after pissing off the ump in that AB.
Methinks Mac should head over to the Windward Baseball Academy during the next homestand to get some swings in. Maybe Brad could help him out.
July 24th, 20099:38 pm
Cmon Yuni – Home Run.
July 24th, 20099:39 pm
Come on TL, turn on one
Professional swing there
July 24th, 20099:40 pm
Just an absolutely professional hit
July 24th, 20099:42 pm
If GA is not careful, he’ll be hitting .300 too.
Now that was the “ugly swinging Matt Diaz” at-bat that he sometimes has.
Regardless, I want to see him hacking. He hits enough to warrant tolerating those ugly at-bats.
July 24th, 20099:43 pm
GA hitting .292 after that hit
Seriously, Unless You know they guy in person, Who cares about Francoeur Now…?
We Got bigger fish to fry in trying to determine when KJ gets traded for a decent middle reliever and a minor leaguer
Be great to see JV get another hit here…
July 24th, 20099:44 pm
Kotchman get a lot of those kinds of hits. Ground ball through the hole. Gets the pitcher out of the way (maybe Vazquez can surprise us with another double).
Victorino is limping pretty badly after banging the wall and missing catch
July 24th, 20099:45 pm
Parra Should’ve been KO’d an inning ago but we let him keep his team in the game. I don’t trust our Bullpean against their offense
Especially Petey-Pabb, I will Be Damned If I see him tonight…
July 24th, 20099:46 pm
Rob from SC
Look what happens when the Phillies face really good pitching like tonight
Cody Johnson is 1-4 with his 25th homer of the season tonight, along with a walk. Jake Thompson and Zeke Spruill also tossing solid games for Rome and MB.
Missed alot of oportunities against manny “sub” parra.
Tomahawkin…………While I would love to see Frank Wren dump Kelly Johnson on another team like he did Francoeur………I just dont see it happening. I feel that teams are starting to wise up that Wren is a pretty shrewd guy.
Yet, there is always a sucker out there, so one can hold out hope, right?
July 24th, 20099:47 pm
heyward 2 run homer
Heyward now 3-4 with a 2B, HR and BB. Dude’s a stud, folks. Freeman only 2-4 with a walk.
July 24th, 20099:48 pm
Steve from OH
He will be here in September
July 24th, 20099:49 pm
Good Pick Esco, He made that tough play look easy
“Freeman only 2-4 with a walk.”
para has shown me a lot of grit and determination. Go Cousel!
July 24th, 20099:50 pm
Anyone else nervous about this game for some reason????
The only exception to my “Braves being 10 games behind the Phillies” prediction yesterday was not factoring in the Phillies pitching having a meltdown.
Meanwhile, another nice play by Escobar.
That Fckin Counsell…It’s The Little things that he does against us that itches my A…s
I think we can get a decent middle reliever in return, no?
We just got rid of Winn. Now we get Counsell. Great!
July 24th, 20099:51 pm
Man, you talk about him like he’s Jesus or something…
combination of offense AND defense, who is a better ss than esco?
July 24th, 20099:52 pm
I lust for Ryan Braun In Our Outfield…
Just Imagine if he played in the steroid/HGH era…
60 Homerun hitter F0-Sho!
Ball game folks! Milwaukee wins!
I hate that guy
That Fcking Braun! He Kills Us!!!
July 24th, 20099:53 pm
Scotia Steve. What can I say. Baseloaded for Chipper KKKKK
Good night and talk to you guys tomorrow.
Steve from OH……….nice to see that 2 of our best hitting prospects are hitting well in Double A.
I know that you are among those who want to see Jason Heyward called up in September. I just would like to see him stay down there for the rest of the season…….play some fall ball…….come to Spring Training……and start the year off in Triple A. If he does well the first part of the year, bring him up in June 2010 (like they did Tommy Hanson this year).
Damn, the Brewers offense is cranking up.
Javy didn’t think his lead was big enough
That bases loaded choke job might be the ball game…hoping not, though…
Vazquez has been Garbage Tonight…He Has left a lot of pitches up! You Can’t do that against this Brew Crew Lineup!
Time For the Shots!!!
Right now this is on Mac and Chipper
That bases loaded inning where we came up empty is starting to catch up to us. Javy needs a do some damage control.
I’m always afraid to hit “Refresh” after something like that
July 24th, 20099:54 pm
this is what happens when you leave the bases loaded……. we deserve to lose and its wirrd we send Javy out who never get run support we give em 4 he cant be his normal self……
I know that you are among those who want to see Jason Heyward called up in September.
Man, reading comprehension really isn’t your strong suit, huh?
Damn i leave the room and that happens. I knew boog and joe talking up how atl hasnt allowed a hr in however long would come back haunt us.
July 24th, 20099:55 pm
Javy is just trying to make sure the Brewers don’t go after him so he can stay in Atlanta
You know, if somebody told me that Craig Counsel had been shot and killed in front of his family, I don’t think I would be sad.
I f*n hate that guy.
Ryan Bruan is a total douche also. He can’t wait for the season to be over so he can get back to working on his fashion line.
He has his own fashion line by the way in case anybody wanted to know that.
This game is a bunch of BS. Their starter is a lucky little bitch.
I’m not in a good mood.
seat down Prince!!
Looks like Javy’s throwing strikes.
Just a bad pitch by Javy with guy behind in the count. Bounces back to get Fielder though.
“I think we can get a decent middle reliever in return, no?”
Or Corky Miller.
This is not good
yes im feeling nervous about the game now
Braves had Manny Parra on the ropes all game long and have let RBI chances slip away.
Let’s hope it doesn’t cost them.
I hope the Brewers leave that bum Parra back in when the next inning comes up. He’s got absolutely nothing left in the tank.
July 24th, 20099:56 pm
I’m Not hating on Vazquez in saying that he has been garbage tonight…But he has been Un-Javy-Like…Walking Jubronis like Kendall, and leaving everything up…
I guess its just one of those nights for Javy, he was due…
We Need The Offense To Stop Slacking Off At Fundamentals and Come Correct…
I had a Feeling that the Brew Crew was gonna play us tough!
Damn Mitchell, tell us how you really feel.
Canadaian braves fan
Garbage ? How about the offence come on
Fielder hadn’t struck out 3 times in one game all season. He’d struck out twice quite a few times but never 3
Well, he is Schafer’s Brayan Pena, so this may pay dividends down the road…
Oh, and I’d trade Javy Vazquez for Ryan Braun straight up
Your boy has let us down tonight. I hope he redeems himself at his next at bat!
Well, time to take our hacks against the ‘pen.
Thats for leaving the bases loaded with one out…
July 24th, 20099:57 pm
Geeze, Mitchell….relax a little. No need to be nasty
Mitchell taking this game personally for some reason ….
I missed the top of the inning.
I only saw McCann’s at-bat which aside from the outcome was a pretty good one.
What happened? Who screwed up?
July 24th, 20099:58 pm
SF up 1-0 early on COL. Cain pitching for the Giants. We pull out a win here and we could pick up ground on the East and the WC.
Is Bennett well yet?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
