Braves are playing some very good ball this team looked like they were going nowhere but this has changed and again clutch hitting and good pitching have this team thinking about october baseball for the first time since 2005 go braves baby.

I know Church is not lighting up the world (or even out hitting Frenchy), but his at bats are quality. He has taken some walks when I know Francour would not have. I think we are going to really like this trade. I hope JF does well in NY, but it was not going to happen in ATL.

Shortest outing for lincecum in his last 17 outing………6.0 IP. He might not last that long tonight.
As I write this, he gets lucky and kind of changes the chance for the braves to knock him out before he completes 6.0 IP

Even though McLouth did not get all his HRs with Atlanta, the Braves now have 4 guys with double-digit HRs. Not a ton of power…but enough so far.

forgive me for my ignorance, but how many players does the roster expend to come september. Somehow this is the one rule I have never looked into much (considering the Braves had been out of it by then around the time I got into more than just watching the games)

Jeff: Yeah those photos are cool. Yunel seems extremely happy to be there. Everything seems to be heading in the right direction for him. It was nice to see the smiles they put on the kids faces. It was also nice to see the smiles the kids put on the Braves faces.

I would love to get into that Giants bullpen as soon as possible. All those guys who took Giants pitching tonight for their fantasy baseball teams (because of Linecum pitching), could lose a lot of points if the Braves can get to that Giants bullpen soon.

Cheese……………..just because Linecum doesnt have his “A” game going tonight, doesnt mean that he isnt the real deal. I’ve seen this guy pitch enough times to know that he is the real deal. They just dont give away Cy Young Awards. Dude was 5-0 against us coming into tonight.
