Steve from OH……..I’ve been listening to Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper (the Giants announcers) for years. They announce like they are having a normal conversation over a cup of coffee. That’s their style. And they are definite homers, lol. When Bonds was playing, Krukow was a big Bonds supporter.

Oh and by the way, we may be watching Escobar morphing into a flat out star. Not a good player-but a star. Just think, two years ago Baseball Prospectus was calling him a “utility player”.
What is this team going to do if Mac and Chipper keep heating up? Of course, we are slated to lose tomorrow with Tiny Tim on the hill–but taking 3/4 in this series would be really nice. This is a different team than the one we saw in April and May, no question.

Counting games back in the WC right now is just silly. Braves need to keep winning series. Once it gets to late August, then worry about the teams in front. Right now, just keep playing good ball. I mean, a three game sweep of the Phillies would change everyone’s thinking. It’s just not worth doing the math right now.

Hey, no biggie Bobby’s! The only problems I have with the shoulder is it is definitely very weak compared to before and to my left. But I still play a lot of golf and hockey with no problems, though I haven’t played any ball since I left school (unfortunately). I’ve got full ROM and no pain, and hence, no complaints!

Original Jon………..nothing wrong with Nate McLouth. He is just in a little slump. We have other guys picking up the slack right now. It isnt like he isnt going to bust out of it. Be patient. Slumps are part of the game. It isnt like he is going to go through a stretch where he bats .240 in a 900 at-bat stretch with only 16 homers.
