Mets up 5-0 on the Nats. Weird stat that I saw the other day. We are 5-4 versus the Nats. The rest of the NL East is 26-4

The walk to the pitcher hurt, but let’s not forget the out Matty D gave away as well…should have been an error…

44 pitches through 2 innings for Hanson. If he doesnt settle down, this could be a short night for him. I still feel that he can go 6.

Meanwhile, there goes 11 innings of no hit ball there.

What did I say about the offense picking up Hanson? I’ve been saying all season that Garret can turn on a fast ball.

-8th in NL in ERA at 2.86
-2nd in NL in Ks at 141
-9th in NL in IP at 126.0

Man is dealin’ this year. (HEATH)

yes he is. with him the WHIP usually says it all. When he can keep it down, he has very good seasons;when it drifts up, he doesn’t. wonder what his K/100 pitches is this year? gotta be better than it often is.

McLouth rolled his wrist on a diving play in the first game back from the break. Has there been any news of that bothering him? Could that be the cause of his slump? He really looks off at the plate. Getting under just about everything.

jeffrey d…………the thing that you have to realize about Matt Diaz is that he needs to play to establish some consistency. He was on a 13 for 26 tear when Bobby decided to bench him so Francouer could “get some at-bats”. When Diaz got back in the line-up, he had cooled off.

Diaz will look bad for a few at-bats, and then come up and rip a double in the gap. You just have to be patient with him.
