Kelly Johnson is a left handed hitter who simply looks over matched at the plate.
Except that over his last 1800 plate apperances, he hasn’t been. I’d sure like to see an above-average hitter getting a few plate apperances before the year is over, wouldn’t you? Try again, big guy.
Oh, and you realize that you can keep Conrad on the roster by cutting Norton, right? Just checking.

glord- Did you see the play yesterday in the Yankees game? Nick Swisher misplayed a base hit and it went between his legs to the wall. Scored a triple because it didn’t touch him. Silly if you ask me.

Heath (Cleveland)……….I was glad to see Hanson get that last out. However, you could tell that he was laboring during the Randy Winn at-bat. I know that he pretty much owned Sandavol during his first 3 at-bats. However, I felt that he was tiring. And just like yesterday, when you could tell that Tom Watson was tired in the 4 hole sudden death play-off (I know, he is old, but still the fact that Hanson was laboring showed that he was tired), I felt the move was to take Hanson out.
Regardless, the move paid off for Bobby and now we have a chance to score some runs in the bottom of the 7th.

Did I cal that? When a few of you guys were ripping Matt Diaz earlier in the game, I said “be patient with Diaz”. I stated that he will look bad for a few at-bats and then BOOM, he will rip one in the gap for a double.
That is just the way Diaz is. He takes some awful swings and then will drive one. Playing him more often will help him. Dude can flat out hit. That is why I dont trip when he has a bad at-bat.
