I addressed the Soriano and Gonzalez thing last night after the game, by the way. Not enough hours in the day for me to be rehashing what I've already said.

I like the Braves chances on winning at least 3 of 4 games from the Giants this week. The Giants do not play well on the road AND they have had move problems scoring runs than we have this year. I actually think that the pitching match-ups favor us in this series. Even with Tim Linecum pitching, the Giants have to face Jair Jurrjens on Wednesday.

Wayne, I think some of the bashing of Cox on here is just childish and asinine. However, some of it is very justified. Just because he is a Hall of Fame manager doesn't mean he still knows what he is doing. Look at Tom Landry and those Cowboy teams of the last '80s. Now, I don't think Cox is at that level yet but I do think Cox either doesn't realize or refuses to realize that his ways aren't necessarily working. What worked 15 years ago doesn't necessarily work now.

I think his handling of Frenchy is the greatest example. I understand treating men like men but some men can't be treated like men because they aren't really men in some cases. Just because a male is of the "adult" age doesn't mean he is a man. I know. I have a 20 year old stepson who is nowhere near a man.

Frenchy needed somebody in his ass. Instead Cox coddled him and filled him up with what I call incorrect praise and by the time he wanted to be tough with Frenchy it was too late.

Jeff321 (July 19th, 2009 12:56 pm): "Cox doesn’t own up to his mistakes. So, maybe Yunel is just learning by example."

Has your Mom owned up to you yet? Just wondering.
