No, Molina staying in.
July 14th, 200910:42 pm
U have Been Off the Chain tonight (As Far as posting) Have u been listening to some old DMX or Bone Thugs N Harmony tonight?
Shawn – What? shut up..
Be cool Joebrave the truth will come out.
Maybe MAC can replicate The Crime Dog’s performance in Pittsburgh back in 1994 with a HR to get us the lead.
Glad to see him in finally!
Let’s get some Extra Innings action again.
Hey T’Hawkin. Yeah this has to be one of the most boring All-Star ever. I’m only tuned in so I can actually catch Mac playing this year.
Whaaaa? Is that Molina still catching? WTF?
Im hoping McCann hits a HR to lead off the 8th, The AL ties it up, we go into extra innings until brian comes up and wins it witha hit or another bomb. McCann wins AllStar MVP!! =]
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )
My lord..its official every opposing manager HATES McCann..
Why the hell is Molina still in the game????!!!!!
chris from md

Where are you getting this information?
Chris from MD
TBF: if Mac hits a homer, everyone would vote for him.
No one’s stepped up to win the damn thing yet. Crawford maybe for saving that homer? (he also had a hit)
What’s your problem, Bless you?
He’s still not catching. Unbelievable. I’m not one to preach Anti-Braves nonsense, but this is ludicrous.
STILL FREAKIN MOLINA IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F@#$ CHARLIE MANUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TBF(n)K as Billy
I like it…first one I’ve watched all the way in a long time
“Same guy told me the Braves tried to trade Rafael Soriano to the Cardinals last winter for – are you ready — OF Joe Mather. And Cardinals wouldn’t do it.
Don’t know if that’s entirely accurate, but it’s certainly possible it was proposed by the Braves, given the injury-plagued season Soriano had in 2008 and his $6.1 mill salary this season.
Needless to say, the Cardinals wish they had done that deal, since Soriano would be their closer right now.”
I’m sure the Cardinals wish they had done this deal, but Ryan Franklin has been lights out as their closer, so I don’t think it’s a given that Soriano would have taken his job.
Actually McGriff’s HR only tied it but yall know what I’m thinking.
Shout out out to McFann As Well, WAZZUP….!
T-Hawkin is already tuned up……! Ha!
July 14th, 200910:44 pm
Mac hits a homer in the 8th .. NL closes it down in the top of the 9th
Make it happen!
Nice route by Upton….
Did Garrett Anderson mentor Upton in fielding?
You gotta think LaRussa is having a fit with Molina in this long. Would it be funny if he got hurt???
.. annnnd Heath Bell is trying his best to mess that plan up!
July 14th, 200910:45 pm
That’s it – Manuel’s on my list now. Yeah you don’t wanna be on my list. Just ask Clint Hurdle what happened after he joined my list.
Bet that Manuel pinch hits Howard instead of Mac.
Ok well I hope Brain ties it in the 8th and wins it in extras
Why the heck is Mac not in there yet? WE HAVE TO VOTE MAC IN NEXT YEAR. This is ridiculous…
Ok, McFann if I’m crazy mad about this then I can only imagine how you’re feeling.
July 14th, 200910:46 pm
“TBF: No chance they did that (requested that Mac not play). None.”
What makes you so positive. I seriously doubt they did it, but you arent in a position to be that certain
Steve from OH: Yes, Chipper did. But REPLACE TP isn’t allowing us to cite chipper or heap. Weird, I know.
Soriano pitching the 8th right now would be nice
Matty Ice and others
When are you guys gonna learn that Wren did not trade Andrus? It shouldn’t be that hard to understand. And also, I love Escobar and would never trade him but your numbers are a bit homerish wouldn’t you agree? +20 SB’s and +25 HR’s? I haven’t seen it yet.
Bell is going to screw this up… first timer!
July 14th, 200910:47 pm
Yeah Howard’s going to get it ….thats what I would do if I was trying to win…bad news for Bmac.
This Has been a snorefest…! I’ve been watching old New York Undercover on Youtube as well…
Blow Buck, and Mcslobber are Garbage!
July 14th, 200910:48 pm
“Not to mention, the dude is a freaking former MVP. I think he knows something about putting a bat on a ball and”
That means nothing as far as being a hitting coach. Plenty of guys who were great hitters cant or couldnt teach hitting – and plenty who werent such great hitters were in fact were or are good teachers of the fundamentals of hitting.
Braves need to get back to the World Series so Bobby can bring the National League another All Star win
By default, Adam Jones for MVP.
July 14th, 200910:49 pm
As Mixxo would probably say…
This game has the same intensity as a golf tournament..
Howard still on the bench, he’ll win it in the 9th.
Steve from OH
Anyone that thinks there is no possibility Albert Pujols is juicing or taking HGH is either completely naive or just plain stupid. Judging by your moniker, it’s both.
Where art thou, Soriano?
Not surprised the AL is ahead late in the game… same song, different year.
I’m sure hope a Padre doesn’t decide home field advantage. Great!!!!
Its a hit parade, folks…
July 14th, 200910:50 pm
Get Bell out of there
Heath Bell and Charlie Manuel for co AL-MVPs.
Joe Buck for MVP. He’s so great. Just ask him.
July 14th, 200910:51 pm
How come Tim McCarver didn’t sing the anthem or God Bless America to promote his CD of “American standards”?
Yes, McCarver actually recorded a CD of standards. To make it even worse, he recorded it at the Sun Records studio in Memphis where Elvis and Johnny Cash started.
“Braves need to get back to the World Series so Bobby can bring the National League another All Star win”
Yeah. 1992 and 1993 happened to be the two biggest all-star blowouts of the past 30 years. A 7-run AL win and a 6-run AL win against NL teams managed by — The DONKER
so this will be how many straight years the al will have home field advantage..yeah its a real fair system.
OK WE ALL KNOW THE A.L. WILL WIN THIS GAME, CAN WE BRAVES FANS AT LEAST SEE OUR TEAM’S LONE REPRESENTATIVE IN THIS GAME??????????????
I can’t believe I watched almost 3 hours of this crap waiting for B-Mac.
Howdy…wussup? BMac still not playing…
Haha…yeah, it ain’t good. This is inexcusable.
But, my luck, he’s gonna come in a get out anyway…
July 14th, 200910:52 pm
kinda wierd you pitch Bell after Hoffman.
If this score holds up it might be Crawford with this HR saving catch which might be the difference.
Good point ColReb
I dunno…home town boy? There’s only one other catcher on the roster? I’d love to see Mac in, but I understand why he’s not yet.
OK AF Jason…..Not a coward. Good response. Renteria…maybe..ok I will give you Renteria. Kotsay was a pro hitter more than 10 years before he got here. Prado doesn’t have enough ABs. La Roche, wasn’t he having some problems making adjustments before the Braves traded him? Need to go back and see. Yes TP was an MVP and I love him as a player and coach but think he gets a free pass as a hitting coach and we can do much better. Jaramillo takes scrubs and makes hitters out of them! Baylor has done the same thing. I just cannot fathom an entire opening day lineup of guys who have hit during every stage of their career come to Atlanta and ABSOLUTELY STINK!
I am not a special kind of idiot. I am a mathematician……and the common denominator is Terry Pendleton.
I love the guy, but the guy is just not a good hitting coach. During his career, his batting style was unorthadox and he certainly was never compared to Tony Gwynn and I honestly think he IS the problem with the Braves hitting woes.
Maybe BMAC coming up next….
July 14th, 200910:53 pm
What the heck? Can we please have MAC? NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Said it before, and I’ll say it again: Cox is Typhoid Mary to relievers. He burns them out. Which is what’s happening to Gonzales and Moylan, was happening to Bennett, and will happen soon to O’Flaherty. When it comes to a feel for the game, Cox has a tin ear.
Sarah Evans looking goooooood tonight!
Guys, I have been reading all day about the great hitters that will be available in the offseason as free agents. besides Holliday and Ankiel, which other outfielders or firstbasemen with power will be available??
July 14th, 200910:54 pm
Charlie Manuel’s bullpen management cost this game. Heh heh
Mac may pinch hit, screw JM
July 14th, 200910:55 pm
Yay. Be nice to see him hit an oppo homer to that Big Mac sign.
But Cox is a HOF manager. THAT alone cannot be overlooked.
Driver8: agreed. was just talking to one of the other two scorers about that. Crawford right now. Maybe Mac goes yard here, though….
Wooo lets go Mac!
Look at the home/away splits. Of course Manuel is trying to lose the game. Duh.
July 14th, 200910:56 pm
Please dear Lord let Mac park one.
what a let down…
July 14th, 200910:57 pm
Freaking Pop up!..Gah!
come on mac, all that wait for a foul out?
The horror! … the … horror!
We waited for that? Dang.
Somewhere Donker just cussed at the screen
We waited all game for that. At least he did the same thing he’s done all year for the Braves.
mac for MVP…
quoting Crash Davis ” I don’t think this has enough” pop up. GRRRR
Well, that was anti-climactic.
Fair enough – everyone’s entitled to opinions. Rudy seems to be able to teach players who have learning disabilities to listen. That’s a gift and a great trait for a hitting coach. But not everyone can be Rudy.
I just think that it’s usually the hitters that are to blame, not the hitting coach.
That was like our season so far. Waiting for something big and you get a pop up to the catcher.
July 14th, 200910:58 pm
2 pitches 2 outs
