Why trade Escobar? Is he tanking on the injury front?

Has anybody queried Bobby Cox about the bullpen management? Will he do anything differently in the 2nd half to protect the arms?

One more question? Anybody else out there get tired of reading the lips of Cox spewing profanity? I’ve been wathcing it since I was a kid and it’s not something to look up to.

Isn’t it wonderful to be in a country where you can express your likes and dislikes about a good looking president that is not white while watching a baseball game. Only in America.

As for Escobar, if the Braves trade him, I hope it is to a team in the NL so that he can come back and stick it to them like Frenchy is going to do. God is good.

AFJason – Yeah he can hit alright, but 100 lbs of that is a chip on his shoulder. Terrible attitude in that guy for some reason. Why is he so teed off all the time?

Oh, and that defiant untucking of the jersey after every win. How goofy is that? Does he really hate the old school baseball establishment that much? Is he trying to set some sort of trend? Hate ball?

The Organization should be able to stop him from doing this without trading him.

The Braves better receive something good in return for Escobar, and not more “platoon players”.

What team trades one of their young mainstays because he offended some of the opposing teams with a bat-flip? lol.

REPLACE TP

July 14th, 2009
10:13 pm

Terry Pendleton: Great Player, Great Coach, Not so Great Hitting Coach! I am tired of seeing Andruw, Frenchy, KJ, Kotchman, and virtually every other Braves hitter regress under the tutelage of TP. Frenchy traded, Yunel slandered by the media, and Andruw’s offense given up for dead. KJ and Schafer regressing profoundly. What about Kotchman, the .300 hitting Angel being benched. I love TP as a coach, but as a hitting coach, he isn’t Don Baylor! Nor is he Pat Corrales. Please Bobby, quit givin this guy a free pass. Move him to the bench or 3B, 1B, wherever but the offense sux and that is directly reflective of poor coaching, not scouting the opposing pitchers and a general lack of communication with regards to hitting philosophy. Jeff pissed off management by going to Rudy Jaramillo in the off season. At least he was trying to get some help as he obviously had virtually NO FAITH in TP. Since leaving TP, Andruw has gotten better. Bryan McCann (a catcher) notwithstanding, every Braves hitter has regressed and failed to improve under TP, and before you say Chipper, where the hell has his power gone? Kotch, KJ, Yunel, Chipper, Schafer, Frenchy, even Matt Diaz last year. STOP BLAMING THE PLAYERS! THEY NEED SOLID COACHING! We are only as good as our weakest link, and unfortunately, when it comes to hitting, we don’t seem to have a clue! I got an idea: Trade Roger McDowell for Rudy Jaramillo and bring back Mazzone!

McFann :Ô:

July 14th, 2009
10:14 pm

From Bowmen: McCann won’t have to wait around as long this year to enter the game. The 25-year-old catcher is expecting to enter in the sixth inning which means we’ll likely get to see him get at least one at-bat. He is hitless in his two career All-Star Game at-bats.
