Bud Selig should just award the A.L. home-field advantage every year by default. He’d have the same result. THE NATIONAL LEAGUE HAS NOT HAD HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE IN THE WORLD SERIES SINCE 2001!!!!!!!!!! Get that? We are approaching a whole DECADE since the N.L. has had that advantage! Is that fair? HELL NO IT ISN’T!!!!!!!!!

How about the Braves scouts?
P Tyrelle Harris, drafted in the 19th round by the Braves, put up pretty ugly stats at Tennessee(at least for his SR. year). All of a sudden he gets to pro ball, he blows through Appalachian League hitters as he gets promoted to Rome.
And in Rome, he has gone 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA in 7.1 IP. He’s only walked 2 and has struck out 11.
Great find by the Braves.

i’ve never understood why baseball can’t be like every other sport and give home field advantage to the team with the best record.
i heard some ridiculous argument that they couldn’t do it that way because of planning, but under the current system they still don’t know what city is hosting the series until that team wins the lcs. i dont see how it would be any different if they did it based on record.

It’s a shame that the AJC’s staff evaluated every aspect of the Braves but manager and coaches.I wonder what grade they would have gotten.I propose we trade the HOF Manager to anyone that would just love for him to manage their team.He wins all these polls,so I know he would be in great demand.I think players vote for him just so the Braves won’t put get rid of him and they have a good laugh.Keep him around and you don’t have to worry about the Braves.Bobby has caused the Braves to lose more than Escabor has done questionable acts.

Once again I can’t enjoy a close ASG because the NL just lost home field. Now I have to suffer through the Mets series as Frenchy and his team spank my Braves. Thanks Frank. Next time look OUTSIDE the division if you have a player that needs a change of scenery to get it going.

MATT – Im pretty sure the majority of baseball fans plus even players/managers dislike this stupid idea of one game meaning so much.
Putting into perspective lets see who had the game winning hit and the losing pitcher. Both were reperesented by last place teams – Orioles and Padres. How can two players who play for piss poor teams be the one who determines things which they BOTH will not be a part of?
Interleague Play makes the most sense as the entire roster is involved from ALL teams and not just the stupid idea that every team should be represented. If Bud Selig should continue to do this its plain wrong.
I do like all teams represented but dont make this game for the fans so important.

Lowe vs. Perez…please. D-Lowe shouldn’t even have to pitch as well as he did against Col. to get the win, Perez is that bad. The Bravos just need to be patient and watch the wild thang go at it. I have a feeling we’ll win the series against the Mutts.

when will people understand that if reporter pisses off the management they will get a great story but never get another…nature of the beast…DOB is’nt a expose writer or columist, his job is to write about articles on what the braves do, not what they should do….thats whats wrong with the media these days they all ways have to add thier critique or analysis….thats why i appreciate our beat guy he reports the Braves news accurately as he possibly can and lets the reader decide what his opinion is.

The MLB ALL STAR GAME will never be as exciting as it was when we were young, before everyone could see any game anytime on tv or their computer..not to mention interleague play.

The Mets are the second banana, the Cubs are the Cubs, the Dodgers have gotten a wee bit tight for the money they make, and the rest of the NL teams muddle along.

How does one go about petitioning Bud Selig to change how the rosters are selected? Shouldn’t home field be decided by regular season record? I’d be happier if the All-Star game was the tiebreaker if the teams had identical regular season records.
