My daughter’s jersey jinx continues – Jay Bruce fractured his right wrist in that game vs. the Mets. Too bad, he’s Cincinnati’s Francoeur (minus the lameness at the plate).
She is not allowed to buy any more jerseys. Period.

I really like Don Sutton & Mark Lemke doing the radio. They are an excellent combo. I have enjoyed their broadcasts more than any others this year.

Dave – I know the story says Gonzo’s going to be back Thursday. We see these “injuries” so often in sports, do you really believe he’s hurt? Honestly, if Gonzo was hurt, he should’ve told Bobby he couldn’t perform. Don’t cha think?

JasonInFL………….the Jair Jurrgens/Gorkys Hernandez for Edgar Renteria was the first trade that Frank Wren made as GM. Then he used Gorkys Hernandez as the centerpiece to acquire Nate McLouth.
So when you look at it…………..Frank Wren traded Edgar Renteria, Charlie Morton, and Jeff Locke for Jair Jurrgens and Nate McLouth.
Now who here does not like that “trade”?

Geez, Dr. Duralde is hard to see. I tried to get him to do my arthroscopic shoulder surgery, a month ago, but no dice. Dr. Bernot is hard to see too… Anyone at Ptree Orthopedics is good, though. Dr. Reddy did a great job.
DOB- just listened to Dylan’s Nashville Skyline, on vinyl, for the first time in awhile. F’n classic! Girl from the N. Country w/ J. Cash is beautiful, as well as Lay Lady Lay. Something about vinyl grabs you- if not, it should… Now listening to Waiting for Columbus by LF.
Got my tix for Neko Case, Taj & Bonnie Raitt, Neville’s & Dr. John, Flaming Lips, and Steve Martin w/ Steep Canyon Rangers- good times…

Smart Jay – I agree. Sutton needs to be on TV. I just cant get into Joe and Boog. Joe has turned into that dad that tries to be cool and funny (but comes across a dork). Then Boog is ok sometimes but tries to be clever too much. That makes him not funny even when he is because your burnt out already on his humor.

Bob Kolb: It wasn’t you that sent me the bootleg of Cash/Dylan sessions, was it? Incredible music, can’t believe it was never released as a proper album, but glad it wasn’t (that way you feel more privileged listening to it).
Those two guys really had utmost respect and admiration for one another, and you can tell listening to their songs and banter (a lot of it’s on that bootleg) that they really had fun recording together.
