Bravesman – Love me some baseball for sure. I grew up with three brothers, and they all played baseball in school.
July 14th, 20095:18 pm
Lol, I know a lot of “whites” that are hitting better than you on the Braves…
McFann – Congratulations – I was looking for a prize yesterday when I was number 4,000 (beating out my old friend CBF at 4,001), so I’m bummed DOB let you take my glory away by waiting to post the new blog. But I’m happy it was you and not certain other bloggers.
Shouldn’t you be icing your feet and soaking your hammy’s in buttermilk Loaf? Get off the computer and get ready for the second half.
In all honesty, I’d be prouder of this record if we hadn’t used a blog performance enhancer (WordPress) to get it done. There should be an asterisk by the final total in the record books.

How many blacks do you know? I am college-educated and I work with lazy people (the majority are whites) everyday. I get to work OT on a white man’s cases because he is too lazy to do it himself. All whites aren’t lazy, just as all blacks aren’t lazy.
Racism exists because blacks perpetuate it with ignorance and random BS statements like that. Let it go. Racism ended like 30 years ago.
99% of white people aren’t racist and the other 1% are just stupid.

cabravesfan – it’s hard to gauge since there’s not an actual measurement – may be 2.5.

Reality, consider yourself the other 1%, going by your math.
Oh geez, why is it that the biggest biggots are those who cry the loudest against other biggots
and for the record I hate bloody White Anglo Saxon Protestant Aussies as they have been the most damaging to me in my life and I am a WASP Australian
Go figure Garret wannabe
Who cares, its 5000 not that big of a deal, or is it??????? (Bravesman)
wasn’t too long ago when 1000 posts crashed the blog every time, so I guess it’s a biggish deal anyway
Thanks…not like I really did anything, though. It was a pretty lame post.
Hey, I musta missed your #4,000–congrats! That’s a first, too, I think.
July 14th, 20095:22 pm
McFann, DOB may be going for 10k posts!
Chop Chop @ 5:18–
You’d think afyer electing a black president people would get over thinking there is racism. Oh well, one could dream right? Keep axing questions Garret, this is fun.
July 14th, 20095:23 pm
Haha…I hope not! That one prob’ly would make the Blog crash!
Pittsburgh Pirates? No sir. So David, if the Braves are 7 games back in the loss column by the trade deadline, you think Franklin Wren is going to keep SORIANO, GONZO AND VASQUEZ? Nope. He is going to do the following:
why? because he wants to:
bring back prospects that can help in 2010 and beyond.
I call it like I see it. I speak the truth.

New blog soon?
July 14th, 20095:28 pm
I will pick it up in the 2nd half. I took batting practice and listened to how Terry coaches the other guys. Apparently, they aren’t listening because the guys hate Terry, hate him. Why do you think none of the Braves best hitters go to him for guidance? I think him and Bobby should be let go. Also, Frank Wren is doing a good job. PEOPLE, WREN WANTS TO FIRE COX BUT HE CAN’T. PLEASE BE PATIENT, THIS IS HIS LAST YEAR.
Should have refreshed the page before posting. Sorry about that.
July 14th, 20095:33 pm
Please tell me how exactly you are going to come on here and say that the braves need athletes, which you then pointed out, means black players, then make the next comment you made about judging people on the basis of skin? wtf man

Reality, racism ended 30 years ago huh? Hmmmmmm? We must live in two different countries.

LOL @ Robert (Chipper Is The Best) telling someone to “let it go”
July 14th, 20097:23 pm
Yeah, notagain, just throw a few more insults out over the internet. I’m sure it makes you feel like a real man, though it doesn’t make you one–quite the contrary. PWH
heehee, you are just as full of crap about everything as you are about baseball aren’t you?
Go read some more about some obscure defensive stat that even Bill James denigrates as not being in the same league as hitting/pitching stats. Quoting such crap makes you feel like a man instead on the 4 eyed little boy that you actually are doesn’t it? Too bad that anybody who actually knows baseball laughs at your pathetic attempts to impress.
And why aren’t you mouthing off to the original blogger who ridiculed your post? Yeah, like I’m the only one who thinks you’re a fool. Not!

July 17th, 20092:28 pm
remember when BMac was signed long term a few years ago and everyone wondered why they hadnt done the same for Frenchie?
what a relief that didnt happen, cause then the braves would hvae been DOUBLE stuck with him.
that said, I’ve been pulling for him these last 2 years and hoping hed suced. hopefully a change of scenery does him (and church) both some good. I gotta wish him the best.

Hey guys, keep your eye on Dovydas Neverauskas. He’s legit, though only 16 he’s throwing 88 on the gun right now with lots of room to grow. I know cause i hit against him–I play in Lithuania. And PWHJort is right–we don’t know how good we’ve got it here in the US. This kid pitches on fields with no mounds, no fences, no backstops in Lithuania and absolutely deals. Maybe he’ll help the pirates have a winning season before hitting 20 losing seasons in a row. I’m also pulling for him.
ps if you go to http://www.beisbolas.lt and click on ‘english version’ you can read a bit more about the guy. First Lithuanian to sign a pro contract. Cool.
