Fire Jim Tracy! How dare he bring in a position player to bunt!?!?
July 11th, 200910:58 pm
Not big on dancing but I’m sure we could figure something out
Hey Jim. Bobby is a MORON.
Come on “i’ll kill you”!
July 11th, 200910:59 pm
C’mon Raffy, Strike This Mudda-Sucka Out!
July 11th, 2009
Fish go down 5-1
Thanks SOS. That really answered my question.
What a pitch!
Forget about about the curve ball Raffy. Give ‘em the heater!
Good Call Blue… “Hoe Sit Down!”
Soriano is dealin
An oldie but a goodie….”Paint it Black” !!!!!
July 11th, 200911:00 pm
2 down….again I say…Raffy has got ice in the veins! Dude is just so cool about every thing.
Jim that don’t prove nothing…consider who hire who. GM just has to make the right call.
Another Big K.
I’d Rather see “Highway to Helton” and Turdowitzki tomorrow…
July 11th, 200911:01 pm
Helton….hit the clubhouse !!!
Of course he jumped back, killer scaring the hell out of him.
Ballgame! WHEW! YESSS!
Raffy = Player of the game!!!!!
Senor Smoke does it again!
Coach (2010 or Bust)
Soriano’s a machine! Ballgame!
Dude is MONEY!
Sori looked great tonight
the real Andy
Well at least we got a split in this 4 game series.
CBF – define something
Cool as a cucumber! Great win.
That was Close…
Double J and Raffy Get the Gameball!
whew. travesty that Soriano is not an All-star
That? Is how its done.
Gov. Clinton Tyree
Thank you, Raffy. He’s a bad man.
Rob from SC
Ballgame!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Nice going Soriano. We are 5-4 on this road trip, taken 2 of 3 so far from the Rockies. A win tomorrow would be FANTASTIC.
Can I say it?
Soriano is completely unhittable right now. At this time he is the best reliever in Baseball.
July 11th, 200911:02 pm
I hope Charlie Manuel sends him to the All-Star Game. I’m sure he figures that Soriano needs all the work he can get.
win tomorrow would be HUUGEEEE to get to .500
Alright good game.
Woooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Go Raphael. Too bad JJ don’t have more friends like you in the Blow Pen
18 Wheels of Love
I’ve got it! The nickname for Soriano…although I do like The Scowl…
The Lawnmower Man
Nice recovery after the disaster in Washington. 2/3 in Chi-town, 2/3 so far against the hottest team in the league. Really wish Vazquez could go tomorrow, but maybe Medlen steps up again.
use your imagination
Broxton isn’t going to play in the All-Star Game. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Soriano there.
I’m so disappointed. Soriano’s pitches lacked velocity and seemed to be looping coming in to the batters.
Soriano is the first half MVP for Atlanta…
July 11th, 200911:03 pm
Oh the AirTran foosball commecial. I haven’t seen that one yet.
Best reliever “in baseball”? Maybe in the NL East.
Hi and bye cab. Behave.
Seriously other than Double J clutch hits, the AWFense did nothing tonight in this ballpark, WTF I’m not too excited about this team after this win because we are still not hitting…
Maybe Church can spark this team
I guess I’ll say it too – B A L L G A M E
NO MORE BOBBY
STAY HOME GONZO.
We have our closer!!
July 11th, 200911:04 pm
BS. You say it when you know the game is gonna be lost no matter what the current score. Rox will win this game.
Mr. Bummer, care to comment on your earlier statements?
They have played that Foosball commercial just one less time than the Franchy in his own words show.
>>>>whew. travesty that Soriano is not an All-star
yeah, but at least he gets a few days off. although Bobby just might try to put pitch him anyway…
Soriano and Jurrjens showed again they’re Allstar snubs! Soriano 0-2 magic was amazing!!!
I’m betting that Medlen rises to the occasion tomorrow and pitches light out with the Braves taking the series and a winning road trip!
Hopefully Medlen can at least pitch 6 full innings.
July 11th, 200911:05 pm
that’s no fun!
Whew! Great win, boys!
Yeah, it is pretty bad. And actually, the slump really started after he crashed into the backstop on June 22, and then there was the dizziness a couple days later, which they said was from the flu…
I wanted to bring this up with you before, but if I was just imagining it, and maybe I still am, I didn’t want you to get any more upset than you already are.
Thanks…that thought had crossed my mind at one point, but I was always like, “Yer overreacting, girl.”
Can’t wait till the second half to see if he gets back on track–which I’m sure he will. Tonight was a good sign (though that’s what we said about July 7th). But tonight–no K’s!!
BTW–Thanks, Shamus! Yeah, his offense is coming around…still can’t figure out that PB…
2-0 post Francoeur.
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )
Please Wren Resign the guy…wave Gonzo goodbye fellas, cause of the two…Soriano is obviously the keeper…
2-0 without Frenchy.
Alright Braves win….now we wait for ol’ Coach to rain on the parade
Steve In OH, be gentle…lol!
July 11th, 200911:06 pm
Oh! Before i go…. 2-0 since the end of the failcoeur era.
Mets are 1-0
July 11th, 200911:07 pm
I can’t wait for tomorrow…how great would it be to cap off the first half with a win…going to the All-Star break at .500?
Its good to have a Closer who doenst screw around and gets men out…Soriano doesnt make it interesting and nervous..ala Gonzo..
Ok. Worst case scenario, Bravos went .500 on the road trip. If we can sneak out a win tomorrow afternoon somehow, Braves go 6-4, and 5-2 in their last 7. But either way, playing good baseball right now. Sure would like to see them get the win tomorrow-hopefully we’ll have Kotch back.
Really liked what we saw from Church tonight. Put the ball in play with a guy on third, though it didn’t work. Two really sharply hit balls.
The Braves are playing good baseball. They look like winners.
July 11th, 200911:08 pm
And what would a Braves win be without Brian Jordan’s stutters, pauses, and awkward camera looks?
Nice job, The Scowl!
Nice win for us tonight…but DAMN……..the Pirates closer prevent us from gaining a game on the Phillies. Good news is that we are only 1 game behind Florida for second place. Still we are 5 out.
July 11th, 200911:09 pm
’m betting that Medlen rises to the occasion tomorrow and pitches light out with the Braves taking the series and a winning road trip! KIRK
I’m betting Medlen gets the crap beat out of him.
Good to see Church smoke the ball a couple of times too. Nothing to show for it, but a good sign.
Nope in all baseball RIGHT NOW. Stats 41 IN 55 K ERA 1.50 WHIP .90 AVE Against .155.
Like I said as good as anyone.
Or rather, Nice job, El Scowl!
July 11th, 200911:10 pm
Resign Soriano NOW…! He Has been Clowning but He is having a Contract Year at the same time. Who is his agent…?
Man Soriano is DOMINANT. I think they should make an effort to resign him next year. He’s been awesome this year.
Mr. Bummer, care to comment on your earlier statements Steve Oh
sure. reverse curse
July 11th, 200911:11 pm
True Jeffrey d… very true. Cant wait to see Gant back in there tomorrow…
I agree Kirkinga, believe Medlen will get the job done.
Great job by the Braves tonight. The Rockies can swing the bats in that ballpark and we held them pretty much in check. I thought Moylan, O’Flaherty, and Acosta did a great job. Got hurt by some weak hits but they kept the lead. Soriano may be the most dominant closer in the NL. Glad we could get JJ the win! Let’s have a blow-out win tomorrow!
Jerome is tall…
He shoulda asked BMac about that PB. In case you hadn’t noticed, that thing’s got me bugged.
Very good game, though. Good pitching from our guys, and they knocked in enough runs to get by. The second sac-fly off BMac’s proved to be the difference-maker.
Going for the series win tomorrow, get to .500! That would be great! (And maybe Ross should catch, eh?)
Medlen will Pithch decent but the Offense will make that Jubroni Rockie pitcher look like Cy Young, “Bank On It!”
I KNEW THE BRAVES WOULD WIN. I WON A LOT OF MONEY ON THEM TONIGHT. IT WAS MONOPOLY MONEY BUT WHO CARES. BRAVES ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER.
Maybe sweat got in his eyes McFann. Just something simple like that.
Glare could have caught his glasses a certain way. Don’t think it was a lack of anything, just lost sight of it somehow.
Damn, why is it that every game with the Braves has to be a nail biter? I saw that the Phillies pulled out that game and thought for sure the Braves were destined to lose this game and go another game back when they had a 4-0 lead and the Phillies were down big..
July 11th, 200911:12 pm
Hi and bye cab. Behave — RHR
willieg, you’ve finally taken your medication.
Welcome to the real world!
July 11th, 200911:13 pm
I guess maybe Anders was mistaken about Sori being worthless?
I’m calling a loss tomorrow because Medlen is pitching.. He is decent, but he will get his butt kicked by the Rockies offense.. I wish a healthy Javy was going for us tomorrow..
Braves now tied for 6th in the WC race…5.5 games back pending the result of the SF/SD game tonight.
July 11th, 200911:14 pm
Yeah, that’s prob’ly all it was.
It was just odd…never seen one go straight off a guys glove and smack him in the face.
Soriano’s one reason why the Braves are currently 1.5 games ahead of the fearsome Mets.
(That’s supposed to be a compliment.)
jeffrey, you ain’t kiddin! Brian Jordan can’t pronounce words properly like Sariano instead of Soriano, slida instead of slider, and the stutters and brain farts he gets before he can finish what he’s trying to say. I like Jordan but I’m waiting for that Hickman guy to just bust out laughing when BJ gets those brain farts in the middle of his stutters. Damn that was long! Sorry…good game Bravos!
July 11th, 200911:16 pm
I watched Jeff in Lilburn at Parkview so of course I’m a fan, but he has failed to mature as a hitter. The demotion to the minors last year should have been sufficient to wake him up, but he didn’t get the message. This is not a Terry Pendleton problem.
