Send Conrad back down and keep Greg Norton for a pinch hitter (hitting...lets see...up to a 100 now?) Boy, thats a smart move. Who's making that decision? FIRE THEM!

I wish you morons would quit screaming for Heyward to be called up early. Do the names Jeff Francoeur and Jordan Schafer ring a bell? I doubt the Braves are eager to repeat their mistakes with those two. HEYWARD IS NOT GOING TO BE CALLED UP THIS SEASON!!! GET OVER IT!!!

Why did they reactivate Norton and option Blanco? Blanco was one of the heros of the Phillies sweep and gives us more versatility than Norton. Maybe Blanco scores a manufactured run late in the game and we win the game today with Soriano closing it. I wonder who made the brilliant decision that may have cost us a .500 record at the break. I'm concerned that after we swept the Phillies we were only two games out and now we are 6 out. Ryan Church ain't the answer in RF. May as well let Heyward make his impact. Let him get his rookie mistakes out of the way this year so he'll be ready to rake next year. We ain't going anywhere this year, not if the Phils have Ibanez. Hopefully he'll get hurt again. We ain't winning it. The Phils may blow it and we sneak in. But, we ain't winning it.

The team is improving slowly but surely. It started with Wren acquiring the starting pitching this off season. Following that the McLouth trade & Hanson call up was almost simultaneous.

Those big moves have been complemented with smaller, but just as improtant ones like Prado taking over every day at 2B & now the trading of Francoeur for Church.

Wren's helped Cox by removing KJ & Francoeur from the team so Cox isn't tempted to run them out there every day, which he would. Bennett will probably be DFA'd once he's off the DL.

Being a life long fan of this team it's nice to see Wren making the moves needed to improve this team. I doubt he's finished this season, but he may be depending on the price of available bats. If he is, that's fine because even if they don't win this year next season is looking really good. He'll need to get a big bat for left field, maybe resign Church for right if Heyward isn't ready & either sign Soriano/Gonzo or someone else for the back of the pen.

Actually, this is a brilliant move by Mr. Wren doing this deal before the deadline. We get to "see how it goes" for a couple of weeks before deciding on another deal.

Don't panic, he knows what he's doing.

Doc Holiday..........if Ryan Church were to tear his knee up during the game tonight and was out for the rest of the year...........then the Braves would have still MADE OUT by getting rid of Jeff Francoeur. That would just allow Matt Diaz more playing time. Plus with Omar Infante coming back soon, it isnt like the Braves wouldnt have options.

By trading Jeff Francoeur, Frank Wren finally stops Bobby Cox from penciling Jeff Francoeur's name in the line-up. If the Braves kept Jeff Francoeur and he tore his knee and was out for the rest of the year...........do you think that it would have hurt the Braves?

I liken his trade to Jeff Bennett breaking his hand. Bennett breaking his hand finally prevented Bobby Cox from bringing his sorry ass into the game in tight situations. I hated to see him come into games. But once Bobby believes in you, there is no turning back. Do any of you really miss Jeff Bennett?

Just imagine if it was Jeff Francoeur who broke his hand and had to miss the last 2 months instead of Omar Infante? Who would you rather see hitting on a daily basis: Jeff Francoeur or Omar Infante?

I'm still AMAZED that Frank Wren was able to get "anything of value" for Jeff Francoeur. Not only that, but he DUMPED Francoeur on the Mets. That is what I call a DOUBLE BONUS.

Not only am I looking forward to seeing the Braves face the Mets next week, I'm looking forward to seeing how Ryan Church hits against them. A number of you have kept on "crying" about how Francouer "could" come back to "haunt" the Braves..............chances are that those same MORONS havent considered if Ryan Church will come back to "haunt" the Mets.

I feel that the Braves pitching will more than handle Jeff Francouer when he faces us.........just like our offense POUNDED Tom Glavine when he faced us when he was on the Mets.

Jeff Francoeur will NEVER be a decent Major League hitter. Once MLB figured out how to pitch him..........it was over for Francoeur. Just because he has "skills" and youth.....does not mean that that will translate to success at the plate.

I give Frank Wren a lot of credit. He isnt afraid of making "tough" decisions. I want to see him make decisions that are in the best interest of the ATLANTA BRAVES TEAM.....not in the best interests of the player. I want to see us win. While there are players that I do like to see do well, if them being traded can help us get better, then my loyalty lies with the TEAM.

Chuch just had a seizure, he has been place on the DL, I heard it on the radio.

Can you believe that?

Maybe not because it is a lie. ;-)
