Talked to Norton for a while today. Said he hadn’t spoken to any Braves official about what’s going to happen, but it sounded like he might not be surprised if…. well, let’s just say he doesn’t sound as if he’s guaranteed anything.

“We’ll see what happens [this weekend],” he said.

How hot does Diaz have to be to stay in the lineup?? When Frenchy is hot(he hasn’t been as hot as Diaz is right now in 2 years)..frenchy will never will go 13-26 with a .547 obp in any stretch of games. Play Diaz!! Bobby is an idiot.
Frenchy has 300 ab’s this season, highest total on the team. He has the lowest average among the regulars and lowest obp. Cox has consistently batted him in the 5th and 6th hole. Just imagine if his at bats had been taken by Diaz. Frenchy had a slump all of last year. What will it take to get him back down in the minors and straightened out??

DOB- What choices does Frank Wren have in terms of Norton (and Kelly for that matter)? I know Kelly is out of options, but what happens if Kelly finishes his rehab and the Braves don’t want him back on their roster?

I am emailing from Denver. Have admired the Atlanta Braves organization for a long time. I have a question about Briann McCann. In most pictures he does not appear to be wearing glasses but in tonights game at Coors field he is wearing them. Can you tell me why? I have followed major league baseball for over fifty years and only remember seeing one other cathcer wear glasses (Clint Courtney). Thanks CR

Heath, I disagree. Not that I don’t want Hanson’s confidence to be high. But you never know when you are going to have one of those 16-15 games at Coors, along with the possibility of extra innings.

We need another inning or two from Tommy. I would expect nothing less than his normal 100 pitches that Bobby allows him to go, unless they really start hammering him out there. He’s just got to learn that in that ballpark, walks are going to come back to haunt you more than in other parks.
