Beekay-

If Kelly comes back in the 2nd half as the starting 2b, the Braves may as well get their offseason plans in order as of August 1st...

Also, DeJesus for Francoeur?! What exactly does that accomplish?! The one and only player I would be talking to the Royals about would be Mark Teahen...thats it!

Finally, does anyone really believe that at this point either the Braves or Marlins would really consider trading with each other, especially if it involves either team making the other better? I certainly do not! That being said, Mike Gonzalez should and would fetch more than just a Cody Ross..

I myself believe that Mike could be our most flexible trade chip in that we could very well lose him, get better by adding a bat for him, and not lose a step...I myself would like to see Medlen moved into that 8th inning role...even though he's a rookie, I believe he's got the stuff to get it done and get the ball to Sori.

How about sending Gonzo to Toronto for Alex Rios?

coach smith......better yet, what numbers DO YOU have..to prove that Andruw can effectively play in the outfield and still hit? Look at his numbers playing in the outfield both last year and this year. Compare those numbers with his numbers DHing. Then get back to me.

coach smith.........what numbers have proven me wrong about Andruw Jones? I never said that I didnt like Andruw Jones. I said that as a DH, he can produce. I just dont see him being able to produce the same power numbers if he had to play in the field regularly.

He's hitting .209 when he plays in the field this year. How is that "proving me wrong"? If Andruw could still effectively play in the field, dont you think that the Rangers would play him more often in the field?

That is why I dont feel that Andruw would be a good fit for the Braves. The National League does not have a DH.

Sri, while Kapler is a good guy to have on the team he wouldn't solve the need the Braves have which is a lack of power.

Many thought it was a great thing when Pendleton stormed off the field like an immature 13 year old when Marvin Freeman wouldn't hit a batter. I sort of thought so myself at the time. In hindsight though, I look at that incident as the kind of stubborn immaturity that possibly impedes his ability to effectively communicate and work with the hitters under his tutelage.

beekay.............there is NO WAY that Kelly Johnson comes back as our starting second baseman this year.

I do agree that Prado will get work at second, third and 1st. After all, both Chipper and Kotchman will need off days. However, depending on who is pitching, both Conrad and Infante will see action at second when that happens.

McLouth will stay in center and Infante will be inserted in right (if Bobby has the "courage" to bench Francoeur).

Gonzalez will not be traded. Period.

I do see Javier Vazquez staying with the Braves. I just do not see a slugger being available to justify trading Vazquez.

There is NO WAY that Kawakami becomes the 8th inning guy. He doesnt have the make-up for short relief.

The Braves will probably wait until after the season before addressing Soriano's free agent status.
