Page 3 of this blog might be the worst in history. We should delete it and pretend it never happened.
Let’s talk BBQ. Mmmmm, Rendezvous.
Fair enough. I still think Frenchy is playing hard, he just is thinking too darn much. KJ plays as hard as anyone in the league and I agree he should have been benched as well. Esco is still young and immature. He is a helluva a talent and I think Bobby is forcing him to grow up or his ass will be shipped out. I just think people go a bit overboard with the criticism of these guys. Lets root for a strong second half…I don’t want Corey Hart as my RF, I’d rather have a resurging Frenchy

From the previous blog…
I knew it…I just new it! A bleeding heart liberal who embraces(idolizes) the liberal arts major media types.
Did you win the lottery to attend the pervert Jacko’s services?
Don’t assume that you know my political persuasion simply because I’m concerned about the anthropogenic removal of wildlife. That doesn’t mean I’m liberal or conservative – I’m simply interested in what’s happening to the world outside of our comfortable American lives.
For the record (because YOU brought it up): I can’t stand the attention Jackson’s death is receiving. There is actual news to report on, but you wouldn’t know it from the media reaction to this guy over the past week.

Paul Lentz is real. A few weeks back, he mentioned he lived in the Bay Area or something like that.
I got on Facebook and did a search, and sure enough, there was “Paul Lentz” in San Francisco.
Needless to say, there is a very good reason he talks so much inane crap.
The guy looks like a baby do do bird!
But Beekay, you trip over your own point. I like KJ exactly because he acts right. He’s slumping, but he’s not in the AJC whining about a lack of playing time. Instead, he’s at G-nett trying to get his stroke back. What the hell has Francoeur ever won to merit kid-glove treatment. Trade the vermin, keep the class, I say.
July 7th, 20095:50 pm
Typical Cox style – Keep trying to use a broken piece for months and years on end, thereby ruining the team. Then, out of the blue, get sick of it, hee haw a few times, and throw the piece away. But never ever consider trying to FIX the piece. No, that would require brains and logic (ROBERT)
you need to go sit on the toilet and never get off dude
I’ve been a Braves fan since the 70’s. What happened to the days that you supported the players when they were down
I turn around and ask the same question upon you. What happened to the day where a player supported his manager? When a struggling player admitted as much and said (no, really mean it) “I’m struggling so Bobby is giving me time to rest, clear my head, regroup. I would like to be out there, but I’m not playing well enough and am not helping the team right now….”
Instead, what we have today are a bunch of arrogant, money hoarding, a-holes like Francouer who think their respective teams owe them the kings ransom because they were God’s gift in high school and their 1st season and a half of big club action. Unfortunately, sports is a what have you done for me lately form of entertainment, and this sport, the sport that ran even Babe Ruth off it’s groomed fields, will do the same to anyone, especially a guy that has a .277 OBP, .a .342 SLG%, and kills every once of his bat to diminish every ounce of momentum his offense tries to eek out over a stretch of 9 innings of ball.
Am I supposed to be supportive of that? Maybe, and I have. But when so-called “player” shows his disgust by not being in the lineup and hints that he liked to be moved so he can continue his lame attempts at being a successful team player for another club who will be less forgiving than his home town team, then I am NOT going to be supportive of that individual. After all, with his performance and his lame excuse of not playing, he is after all, an individual in this fans eyes. I could care less at supporting that individual.
The last I checked, you are NOT guaranteed playing time on a Major League roster. I have been a huge supporter of Martin Prado and have long supported his case for playing time. I believe he deserves till the end of the season, and if fails to help the team win ballgames over the next 79 games, then I will be not be as supportive as Martin as I have been. He has not guaranteed, nor has any other major leaguer guaranteed the right to play 162 a year. You slip in your performance, you deserve to get benched. Get it? Francouer does not, and he is lucky he has a manager that does not as well.
July 7th, 20095:51 pm
…I know everyone’s thinking the same thing
We need some offense tonight. When was the last time we put up big numbers like philly did last night. we need a laugher for a change. Our guys could use the mental breather.

dogsbrekky……………no doubt Jeff Lissandro has been on a roll for a number of years. However he had a lot of heartbreak at the World Series of Poker until a year ago when he won his first bracelet. This year he has been on fire.
You are correct, avoiding bad luck is a big thing in tournament poker. Whereas in cash games, you can always rebuy and as long as you play well, you’ll come out ahead. However, in tournaments, you can go through stretches where you dont win anything.
On Sunday, I had a key hand that helped me build a decent stack. I had pocket aces and another person had ace king. The flop came A-K-K. Needless-to-say, all the money went in and I was able to double up. A few hands later, I saw a guy with pocket aces lose to pocket kings when the board came A-K-3-K-7. Both players flop a set, on the turn one player gets full house while the other gets quads, lol. I’m glad I didnt have aces on that hand, lol.

But Beekay, you trip over your own point. I like KJ exactly because he acts right

Here’s the only reason I asked if that is your name:
You claim that you played on Day 1c of the WSOP. No one with your name appears on that day. In fact, no one with your name appears on any of the first days of the WSOP.
Here’s the link to the chip count from Day 1c of the WSOP. Ctrl+F made the search easy.
Now, I know I’ve just gone out of my way to prove that Paul Lentz is a bit of a fraud, but it just seems to me that he deserves it. He talks too much about things of which he knows too little.
July 7th, 20095:56 pm
Paul, I’m not looking for somebody to say “screw you god”. But the general idea of your post is what I’m getting at.
What I’d rather see, is an athlete say, I’d like to thank god for giving me the natural ability to do what I do, but I’d like to thank my trainers, my cook, my doctors and my coaches for helping me be better prepared to compete today than the other guy. But in the end, I deserve credit for working harder than the next guy.
Some may think that is pompous, or would be arrogant. But ultimately, it is usually the reality of the situation. Those better prepared to battle, usually battle better.
Only in this blog can gambling and religion mix. See? We can all get along. . .
July 7th, 20095:57 pm
RHR at this point all we can do is hope since DOB won’t play along.
Epinephrine Well McCann actually dominates Zambrano, so this could be a good break for the Bravos.
That’s like what I said when the Braves faced Ian Snell, the Reds in GAB, Joe Blanton last week…
Was wrong every time. Although the rest of the Braves beat up on Blanton…
The pissed off BLOG
July 7th, 20095:58 pm
Paul Lentz, why are you bringing up this God shyt AGAIN, unprovoked? You are a supreme loser. If this “blog” were a real “room” where all of us were gathered…well, suffice it to say it would not be pretty. But leave it to a blog where you can hide behind the safety of your computer you sissy, and constantly run your mouth and call people morons. You are a douchebag loser, Lentz. And a coward. Only a coward runs their mouth all the time. Douche. You’re an internet “Macho” and a internet “erudite”. Stop talking about God you freaking loser. God, in this blog, is Hank Aaron, and Maddux is the Holy Spirit. And you are merely (if even) a brown, wet stain on Frenchy Undies.
sal governale…………I agree with you. Diaz is hitting 13 for his last 25, yet Jeff Francoeur gets the start in right. Defies logic.
Necromancer………If I dont like someone (like you claim to not like me), I could care less about looking them up on Facebook.
July 7th, 20095:59 pm
Strange, Chop Chop. When I “googled” you, I got an array of results.
Is that YOUR real name. As for me? My wife won’t let me legally change my name from Nathan to N8.
Don’t be so silly as to assume that any blogger would use their entire name on the blog.
That being said, now I’m curious too. LOL!
Well if the Braves are not going to add significant pay roll this year then I guess they should forget about getting any significant playoff revenue anytime soon. This team is going nowhere if they don’t add an outfield bad and they should just become sellers and see if we can get some prospects for some players.
Mr Lentz – I have known Jeff since we were 17, I played daily at Bellagio with the “names” for many a year and am amused by tournament poker…. a world where they “crown a clown” but once a year to be the World Series Champion, much in the way the Miss USA winner is exalted..
Luckily nice guys like Chris “MONEY”, Fossilm, Hash and Icegate won to remove the world’s glaze from that conman trainwreck known as GOLD
FWIW though you had to love Jerry Yang’s win against the saddest bunch of LLLLLLLLLLLLL in the history of the sport…………….. Childs folding QQ face up on a 10 7, deuce flop

PWH, sounds like a smart article. Yer not gonna git a sub-3.50 ERA and 200 innings with nearly 200 K’s for $11 million or less.
All this talk of Frenchie’s cursed turkey undershorts and New Jersey got me thinking. The sopranos and the braves have some parallels.
Think of the Braves as the Sopranos. I guess Chipper would be the de-facto leader of “the family”, Tony Soprano.Bobby Cox should be the leader, hence he is Corrado “junior” Soprano. (kinda can see the senility angle coming in already). Then Frenchie becomes the “Christopher Moltisanti” of the family. Chipper took him under his wing, tried getting him to learn the ways, but his attitude has gotten to him. Think of his brief demotion as the rehab. Chipper hasnt quite liked him the same since. He knows this isnt going to end alright and now that he is back to his old bad-swinging ways, Chipper will try to get him out. And once he does, just like with Tony, all this bad luck will be gone. Tony and his family will be back to winning ways. So who is Brian McCann in all this, you ask. I’m inclined to go with Silvio – silent, efficient and the consigliere. Just missing the pompadour hairstyle.
July 7th, 20096:04 pm
Dogs..do you still play? What limits did you play? I have played a few weeks at Belliago as well.
GOD – Someone mentioned Gary Ablett before, the greatest Aussie Rules player EVERRRRRRRR
But they also omitted that the guy thought he was actually THE GOD………… ended up sadly with said hero in a cheap hotel room doing smack and the death of hisn 18 year old lady friend..
I say be careful if you use god’s name or value in vain or tarnish his might… karma is mighty strong !
July 7th, 20096:05 pm
Chop Chop………..my real name is something that I will keep to myself. I have my own reasons why I use the screen name “Paul Lentz”, reasons I will keep to myself.
Funny…I told Mom that Zambrano was pitching tonight back when he wasn’t, and now he is ’cause that guy who was really s’posed to start tonight fractured his toe. Huh…does this mean I can see into the future?
……Oh man, I hope not.
What I forgot to add in my post about athletes and praying, when I stated that the better “prepared” guy usually wins, is that I think other than a few freaks of nature, MOST professional athletes are pretty comparable in size, strength and general abilities that pertain to their respective sports. In other words, Chipper probably has as much natural “ability” to hit a baseball as Albert Pujols does. And Tom Brady is no better or worse of an athlete as Peyton Manning is.
But the guy who works the hardest, and commits to excellence, USUALLY comes out on top in the end. Now, luck (good or bad), umpiring/officiating, and supporting cast obviously has a big part in team sports.
But when a linebacker is left as the only guy between a RB and the endzone, the better conditioned and prepared athlete makes the “winning” play.
In baseball, a pitcher that is better prepared to hit the targe, and has “scouted” the hitter, will usually prevail. Same with boxers.
Very rarely does a poorly prepared athlete win or succeed consistently. Say, like Jeff Francoeur. Sure, the sun will shine on a dogs ass once in a while too. But there is a reason that some guys just don’t succeed, and others do, imo.
July 7th, 20096:06 pm
Necromancer………If I dont like someone (like you claim to not like me), I could care less about looking them up on Facebook Paul Lentz
I just wanted to see if your picture matched your blog persona…and it sure enough did..
You are the one standing what looks like in an office or something, right?
Sorry that you hate so much on religion.
On a serious note, and this is all I will say of religion, cuz this isn’t the place, but everyone is entitled to their religious beliefs, or nonbeliefs.
Why bring that junk to a baseball blog? Don’t they make blogs for atheists?
BTW, I didn’t actually google “chop chop”.
That would be creepy.
July 7th, 20096:07 pm
Oh, I’m not that silly, N8. Maybe Paul Lentz is the name of a drifter this guy killed? Hell, I have no idea.
I did find this link on CardPlayer.com. This particular Paul Lentz cashed one time in a weekly No Limit Hold ‘Em tournament at the Bellagio in February of 2005. If that’s our Paul, congrats on that.
Neight I didn’t actually google “chop chop”.
July 7th, 20096:08 pm
Yes, RHR, it makes a lot of difference, and having lived a while longer than Jeff’s 25 years, you know it, too.

Corky likes beer – What a great moniker
I have not played much this year but I used to play daily in the “clubs” in NYC 2-5, 5-10 NLH and 20-40 O-HL… when I live in Vegas I play 10-20 NLH at Bellagio or 25-50 etc and 5-10 NLH at Venetian or the lower limits at the Palms. I am friendly with the Palms staff cause they kept my sorry ass amused for years while I was undergoing chemo at UNLV etc etc etc
I love poker but am not amused by many of the new antics at the tables…. We used to play a gentleman’s thinking game but now it is all trashhhhhhh
There is a Paul Lentz in San Francisco, where he alledgedly lives. I looked it up on Linked In. Maybe his real name is Paul Lentz, let the conspiracy theorists begin.
Reason I looked it up, was because he had said he worked from home and yada yada yada and was curious to see what he did, I was unemployed and bored to say the least lol…
July 7th, 20096:11 pm
It’s not that I dislike you…cuz I don’t really know you…but the way you talk to folks on here makes Coach look like the Pope.
My apologies to Coach
I don’t have a problem with you, my friend.
dogsbrekky………..I totally agree. Childs’ folding those queens was the hand that allowed Jerry Yang to go on his streak to accumulate that massive chip lead that allowed him to bully his way to winning the championship.
July 7th, 20096:12 pm
you gentlemen have nothing else to do ???? this team has given it up themselves, what are you all hanging on to ??? lol
I like the creepy answer from Paul, though:
Chop Chop………..my real name is something that I will keep to myself. I have my own reasons why I use the screen name “Paul Lentz”, reasons I will keep to myself.
He is truly a man of mystery.
July 7th, 20096:13 pm
There is a god and he is having his number retired as a Brave very soon
Looks like the phillies might be putting it together. If we dont put together a winning streak in the next few days we could end up 8 to 9 games back by the break. Which means after the break we will just fall into oblivion.
July 7th, 20096:14 pm
Paul – I know you do not usually drink beer
but when you do
Do yuo drink DOS EQUUS ????????
YO N8 — I’m still waiting for the first athlete to let one slip during an interview and say ” I was going to score a touchdown ….. until JESUS made me fumble.” LOL
And to PAUL LENTZ — you are vying to become the top douchebag on the blog, a position I was sure that Coach was going to hold unopposed all season long. I think I will pray for your “poker” game, I hope you get beat by a guy who has pocket 7-2 unsuited and he hits the straight on the river to beat your pocket rockets or ace/king when your all-in. Hopefully it will make the ESPN highlights so we can all see what a fat ugly douchebag you really are. LOL
July 7th, 20096:15 pm
I have my own reasons why I use this moniker. First, it keeps the IRS off my back. Second, my real name is Kevin Smith. I’m over on DOB’s Facebook group. Third, I think I just defeated the purpose of protecting my secret identity.
July 7th, 20096:17 pm
dogsbrekky @ 6:14–
I can’t stand those commercials…
I’m flattered that I aroused enough curiosity in some of you to actually do a search. However, as I said before, I’ll keep to myself my reasons as to why I use the screen name “Paul Lentz”.
Regardless, Jeff Francoeur starting tonight just shows that Bobby is having a hard time accepting the reality that Francoeur will never go back to being a productive Major League hitter.
Hey guys, lighten up on Larry. If he really IS a neurosurgeon, maybe we caan get him to do a brain implant on Cox
July 7th, 20096:18 pm
O’Brien’s quotes from Wren should read “THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE and we just wrote off the ATL BRVS season”.
“There is a god and he is having his number retired as a Brave very soon”
and the number would be 31
July 7th, 20096:20 pm

Capt Caveman…………I’ve been beatten by 7-2 offsuit before. I’m sure that it will happen again. I’ve seen number of suckouts over the years.

Ive never seen a team, manager, coaches, & front office do so little to WIN GAMES. Only persons that have showed any heart have been Prado,Vazquez, jurjjens.
July 7th, 20096:22 pm
If you haven’t heard, Dempster broke his right big toe when he — get this — was jumping over the fence in front of the dugout on Sunday to celebrate after a win.
Got it caught on the fence somehow.
McFann – are you still a doll ?
I really dislike those adverts too, then again I want kill many a Madison Ave type !
July 7th, 20096:23 pm
“Ive never seen a team, manager, coaches, & front office do so little to WIN GAMES”
I disagree – after all, the only thing Cox can do to help his team win games is to get himself ejected – and he HAS done that more than any other manager in history
Cant say the ole donker aint trying
DOB @ 6:22: And that is why they are the Cubs
Chipper has a sore right groin, which he first tweaked last night on the swing he took on his fourth-inning single. Said he felt it coming out of the batter’s box.
“Day or two, hopefully,” he said.
July 7th, 20096:24 pm
Don’t be flattered Paul, there was a bug in my kitchen earlier the was making noises, I got “curious” and went to look at the source. When I found him , I squashed the crap out of him. It wasn’t flattering. And nothing we are doing on this blog is in anyway flattering to you.
dogsbreath (AKA: dogsbrekky),
Is that you? The millionaire banker?
For those that may not recall, dogsbreath, tried to run a few elementary investment terms by me recently in a childish, insecure, and most obvious attempt to sound rich and important in the “financial district.” Turns out old dogbreath is simply a glorified insurance salesman clandestinely attempting to sneak away others money and park it into “whole life” insurance policies by referring to himself as an “Investment Counselor.”
dogsbreath, dogsbrekky, (or whatever your real name is that represents your putrid life), do us all a favor and disappear from the earth! You see, I live a debt free lifestyle–yes, I owe no one, or no entity, a penny–and people like you have no real value to me. You and yours are the single biggest reason so many are in debt today and addicted to credit. You’re a bottom feeder and you’re a scavenger, so just go crawl into your financial cesspool web and try to catch another double digit IQ goober too dumb to escape or avoid your debt traps! No doubt on this blog, where ignorance abounds, you’ll find plenty of suckers so perhaps you can find a way to sneak your phone number in!
Everything about you and what you represent and do to people ignites an involuntary reflex in me called–puking!
Paul- If I were 7-2 offsuit, I’d beat you silly.
July 7th, 20096:25 pm
Well! Never knew I was one!
DOB Dempster broke his right big toe when he — get this — was jumping over the fence in front of the dugout on Sunday to celebrate after a win.
Is it bad that I think that’s funny?

Larry, you are a real head case man. Get some treatment. Scary! And you are a surgeon? Really, really scary!
July 7th, 20096:28 pm
No. It is funny- really, really stupid, but funny
July 7th, 20096:29 pm
Myself, I don’t want Larry as my doctor or Paul as my minister, but Chop Chop is really Kevin Smith? I thought his real name might be Dash or Buff.
I respect the heck out of Chipper and what he as done for and means to the Braves. But, man, that contract is going to hurt us for the next few years. If they didn’t want to pay Smoltz for being injured, why pay Chip so much? I know about the fear of further public backlash, etc, but that contract just doesn’t make baseball sense…which is what the Braves have been saying that all other decisions have been based on.
July 7th, 20096:30 pm
re: the Rosenthal story on Vazquez – it’s nice to see someone in the national sports media who recognizes his worth.
“There is no hitter on the market who would represent fair value for Vazquez” – AMEN
Frank from KS (now living in CO)
Hey, what happened to all the insider info you were talking about awhile back about the Braves were going to make (or possibly make) a significant deal and that Dye (out of a list of others) was the one they were looking at?
July 7th, 20096:31 pm
Caveman, as per you 6:14….
Seasoned Braves Fan Since 79
Well McCann actually dominates Zambrano, so this could be a good break for the Bravos… McCann and Chipper haven’t done jack in two weeks. We’ve gotten a temporary boost from previously jackless players like Diaz and Anderson, but they have reverted to form. It will not be long until Diaz is back on the bench.
taking on additional payroll = no big trade coming that don’t create a hole to plug another. Trade Yunel and Javy Vasquez and get a outfield bat, maybe another arm in the bullpen and that’s about it. No shortstop and you’re hoping that Medlen can get you through to Hudson. We all see what happened last season when you have to hope about you starting pitching.

Give it a few spins and report back. I’m still getting into it but it is pretty good. Find myself singing it quite often. I got distracted by the new Wilco briefly but I plan to give it my full attention in the coming days and then go back to the new Wilco, which I am liking.
And did you know, iphones are freakin amazing? Gonna have to get on in Dec.
I’m not really digging this Patterson Hood record so far. I tend to like Killers and Stars better. I’m on “Pride of the Yankees”, which sounds like a Coldplay song.

LARRY – thanks, I am Australian. I sold my inv bank and retired when I was 38 and moved to USA bacuse I like Americans but thanks, keep trying to appear smart.
BTW the systemic problems the global economy faces have little to do with “debt” as you say because USA debt is and will remain at very low yields (I am a bond trader so I know).
But something you said is correct…… that would be your screen name…………
But let us just all do this… I can post my audited net worth and dick size on a public web site and you can do same…. whoever is preceived to be the lesser douche on thsi blog can stay… the other can piss off

Well the track after “Pride of the Yankees” is “I Understand Now” which I can tell will be a favorite of mine.
DOB: Make sure you get some authentic Chicago style deep-dish while you are there in the Windy City.
Are you surprised? The gossip around many hospitals (according to staff, nurses, etc) is that doctors are egotistical jerks, and the biggest jerks gravitate towards surgery. The more important/rarer the abilities of the surgeon – the more pretentious and arrogant the doctor.
I wonder if Larry fits that stereotype… hmmmm.
About time I posted an “Enter your comments here.”

We could see the $$$ value of your life versus mine in net assets
We could even see if you are a surgeon or just some old bigot
or are you just some hater, you hate life, you hate anyone disagreeing with your “putrid” point of view

let me get this straight…..
The Braves are on a crucial losing streak during a crucial stretch of games
The Braves need a win desperately tonight
Now Zambrano is pitching
And CHIPPER is not in the lineup?????

It looks like I need to start talking about Riann Spanjer-Furstenburg again to help McCann break out of his slump, eh?
