Cox just showed why he needs to go. To put Diaz in that spot to bunt and he looks like he has never bunted before when Blanco is sitting on the bench is absolutely ludicrous. He not only looked like a 6 year old girl trying to bunt, but Cox wasted aplayer as well. And as bad as the bullpen is lately, you can’t afford to give up any at bats.

The other day someone got on my case when I said that the Braves record in one run games this year was misleading because instead of turning one run wins into one run losses like last year, Cox was now turning three run wins into one run wins
Anyone wanna debate me on this after that display in the top of the inning?

After that stupid bit of pinch hitting by Diaz, that just proves Cox may be the worst manager in the big’s. He certainly has one of the worst coached and prepared teams.

I’m watching the WGN feed and their announcers where making a big deal about it, one in particular. I don’t see the big deal, closers are a wierd bunch. Soriano is about as normal a closer as I have seen. He’s not showing people up, he’s pitching. Soriano hops between every catch he makes and thats just what he does. I don’t know, seems to me that since the guy is in your park for a series, why not ask him why he does it instead of assuming something about it. Gonzo seems like a nice guy, i’m pretty sure he’ll tell you. It’s funny, Gonzo is probably one of the classiest players you will meet and people are taking exception to his pitching motion while Manny doesn’t seem to bother many people.

Diaz for his CAREER, has a grand total of 4 Sacrifices in almost 1150 career plate appearances. To go along with his 12 sacrifices in his 3161 miinor league PA’s.
Gregor Blanco has 7 of them in 565 career PA’s. Along with his 49 Sacrifices in the minors.
So… uh….yeah. Bobby can be blamed for that. Unless he and Diaz worked on bunting today in batting practice.

Brewers management does have to take a look at the 2-1 win for Javy tonight and seriously consider making a push for him. Guy has virtually dominated the competition this year and, on the Brewers from the beginning of the year, WOULD be an All-Star.
