NO MORE BOBBY
July 7th, 200910:41 pm
Thats ok Bobby. We understand what you tried to do.
July 7th, 200910:42 pm
Love to see M.P. Showing the emotion for this team playing like crap over the last 4 games…
Its sad despite the win, 4 runs in 18 innings. Offense still not fixed yet.
Cmon Soriano – even Cox cant mess up striking out the side
Rob from SC (Please don't trade Escobar)
He didn’t put Blanco in LF, because it would make him look bad
July 7th, 200910:43 pm
I pray that failing to score more runs in the 9th doesn’t come back to haunt us.
Whew…there’s one out.
Gonna blow it in the 9th
Here we go Cubbies her we go!
Cox just showed why he needs to go. To put Diaz in that spot to bunt and he looks like he has never bunted before when Blanco is sitting on the bench is absolutely ludicrous. He not only looked like a 6 year old girl trying to bunt, but Cox wasted aplayer as well. And as bad as the bullpen is lately, you can’t afford to give up any at bats.
“Thats ok Bobby. We understand what you tried to do.”
I do wanna hear THIS explanation
Thank Gawd for the No-Doubles Defensive Positioning!
Was that Ron Jeremy? Why did he dye his hair blonde?
Jman (Release Frenchy NOW!)
They sure are pushing those second half season tix…
July 7th, 200910:44 pm
Rob, what the hell did I say about Schafer?
You got the wrong guy idiot.
hey look they just showed don sutton in the stands
The other day someone got on my case when I said that the Braves record in one run games this year was misleading because instead of turning one run wins into one run losses like last year, Cox was now turning three run wins into one run wins
Anyone wanna debate me on this after that display in the top of the inning?
July 7th, 200910:45 pm
After that stupid bit of pinch hitting by Diaz, that just proves Cox may be the worst manager in the big’s. He certainly has one of the worst coached and prepared teams.
COX NEEDS TO GO!!!!!!!!!
I want a gambling investigation, seriously. How could your manager be so stupid he’s gotta be trying to throw games
Cox called on Diaz to lay down a bunt and he did not execute. I know you all hate Bobby Cox but you can’t blame him when players don’t get the job done.
I love Prado’s attitude. He needs to take Esco under his wings
Damn that was close.
July 7th, 200910:46 pm
The Atlanta media needs to hold Bobby Cox’s feet to the fire for some of the decisions he has been making. If he were in New York or Boston or Chicago they’d crucify him.
All right Soriano! One more baby!
I’ve had it with Cox. Tonight’s Diaz bunt move with Hernandez, Blanco and a couple of pitchers on the bench was beyond stupid. He deserves to lose this game.
Nice K! Raffy! That was Butt-Nasty!
July 7th, 200910:47 pm
soriano vs soriano
I figured out Vox’s reasoning – He wanted to preserve the save opportunity for Soriano
Here we go Cubbies! here we go!
2-1 lets not blow it
July 7th, 200910:48 pm
“Who gives a damn if the cubs fans like gonzo’s delivery”
I’m watching the WGN feed and their announcers where making a big deal about it, one in particular. I don’t see the big deal, closers are a wierd bunch. Soriano is about as normal a closer as I have seen. He’s not showing people up, he’s pitching. Soriano hops between every catch he makes and thats just what he does. I don’t know, seems to me that since the guy is in your park for a series, why not ask him why he does it instead of assuming something about it. Gonzo seems like a nice guy, i’m pretty sure he’ll tell you. It’s funny, Gonzo is probably one of the classiest players you will meet and people are taking exception to his pitching motion while Manny doesn’t seem to bother many people.
mitchell, you dont know what you are talking about in regards to shafer.
Two run bomb coming up!
Don’t you say the b-word Mixxo! Don’t you do it!
Damn Mitchell, did your best friend steal your dog today or what?
You know, I want the Braves to win, but right now, I almost want them to lose to help point out just how retarded their manager is – Robert
Robert, you sir are no Braves fan, you are just a sad strange little man who lives to take out his frustrations on the esteemed manager of the local baseball team. Why don’t you move on to another subject, or just cut and paste “I hate Bobby Cox” at the beginning of every blog and then go away!
the hopes of the braves nation rest in your hands mr. hanson
i dont care if fontenot does hit a two run homer right here and wins the game…..we need to lock soriano up now. we dont need to let him get to free agency…
Robert – Its called sarcasm. Ha!
Hear we go cubbies down to their last strike !!!
July 7th, 200910:49 pm
No, I do not approve of the Mike Minor selection. I was very upset by it. When you’ve got Matzek, Purke, Miller, and even guys like Grant Green available, you’ve got to make a pick better than Minor.
And this guy isnt an allstar???????????
Just muscle up and throw it past him…
Raffy, Come On, Strike This Mudda-Sucka Out!!!
take my words back for now
July 7th, 200910:50 pm
Jake W….exactly what I was thinking.
Alfo done it again! great save.
Way to go, Rafael!
Take a breath ya’ll!
Got him! Bout FREAKIN time!!!
Soooooooo confident !!!!!
We win despite our sorry manager
Ballgame…! Finally We Got Lucky!!!!
Thank YOU. Holy jeez. A win’s a win. We’ll take it.
Finally got that 40th win, 4 games back and in 3rd place.
Bobby takes a deep breath….saved.
That was all arm strength
YES! We needed this one badly.
July 7th, 200910:51 pm
so we win!!! great game, enjoyed the defensive gems!!
We will get you mothers tomorrow! we will !
We’re only four back!
I’m Glad Those Cubs Fans Finally S.T.F.U.
thank you, but can we get back to the decision to have diaz bunt?
BALLGAME……….4 games out of 1st, moved past the Mets into 3rd place.
Proof that god takes cares of those who cant help themselves
Where you at Cubbies Fan ?!!!!!!! Say something now !!!!!!!!
Nice win. Tomorrow we might be able to take.
July 7th, 200910:52 pm
Way to go Bobby! Your the best!
Esco the man, great play.
Escobar saves the day once again. Bback tomorrow for the 2:20 game.
Haaaa! Mixxo you have my permission to say it now. Hell, I’ll say it – BALL FREAKIN GAME!!
Finally a win for Javy Vazquez, the pitcher the Braves should keep.
I’m not even hyped about the win…It felt like another game where the players (with a few exceptions) and the Management played to lose…
“Cox called on Diaz to lay down a bunt and he did not execute. I know you all hate Bobby Cox but you can’t blame him when players don’t get the job done.” Jim
Diaz for his CAREER, has a grand total of 4 Sacrifices in almost 1150 career plate appearances. To go along with his 12 sacrifices in his 3161 miinor league PA’s.
Gregor Blanco has 7 of them in 565 career PA’s. Along with his 49 Sacrifices in the minors.
So… uh….yeah. Bobby can be blamed for that. Unless he and Diaz worked on bunting today in batting practice.
If that’s the case. My bad.
I think we are gonna be world champs…i do, i do! We won tonight, I mean, what other proof do ya need?
Whew! Nice win, boys!
July 7th, 200910:53 pm
I like that Robert.
Hey, let’s hear how Cox is a genius for having had Escobar back out there.
Right? Come on guys. HOF manager fersure we’re talkin about here
Gonna blow it in the 9th
Go blow it out your a$$!
Cubbies ! Yeah ! Yeah ! What the Hell ever !!! Say Goodnight Three Little Bears !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Braves are in 3rd place by themselves only 4 games back. And…they are 6-4 in their last 10 games. Winning the game and the series tomorrow would go a VERY long way.
Unbelievable. We’re still hanging around this thang. Only four games out. Not bad considering.
Greg Olson Homers
Its Coxs fault that a professional baseball player messes up laying down a bunt? You anti-Coxers need to pick your battles.
Paul Konerko hit 3 bombs tonight!!! thats 2 less than frenchy has all season… wtf???
Cubs Lose, to bad Wrigley Faithful. Don’t get to sing Go Cubs Go.
Javy gets a win, thats good.
July 7th, 200910:54 pm
SOPH’s prayer worked!
God love the Braves.
Tonight is yet another example of why we should NOT trade Vazquez. He has been the most consistent this year.
He is a Big League hitter. He should be able to get a bunt down.
I love how after they all high-fived McCann patted Soriano on the back. Then, Soriano kinda tugged on McCann and pulled him into a mini-hug. Funny stuff.
July 7th, 200910:55 pm
Good win tonight, just wish Hanson was going tomorrow!
Brewers management does have to take a look at the 2-1 win for Javy tonight and seriously consider making a push for him. Guy has virtually dominated the competition this year and, on the Brewers from the beginning of the year, WOULD be an All-Star.
Good win for the Bravos. Nice to see Javy pitch well and get the win. Maybe the bats will come alive in Colorado.
tomahawkin, i am with you, i mean i just cannot enjoy this win, more times than not when we win these close ones I am left asking how/why did we win, regardless props to Javy he just keeps on this season.
CUBBIES RULE, my mom would woop your a** son! She’d take your Chicago A** and make stinkbread out of it!
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
