KK tryin hard to lose this one tonight…I think we should have a new guy to be ripping….I really dislike this guy
wow a moon shot from dunn..wow….man it would be nice to have a 20+ hr guy in our lineup right now
this is horrible, gotta put in medlen if kawakami gives up another run. not really kawakami’s fault, just wrong timing on being rusty after not pitching for over 9 days and the team having the hottest streak of the season, though, this has happened to atlanta since 2005……
We certainly couldn’t use that type of power in our lineup…
Rob from SC (Please don't trade Escobar)

Francoeur should be sent AA. The pitcher makes better contact than Frenchy
Francoeur better not be allowed anywhere near Freeman and Heyward.
Steve from OH
Carroll, can you do me a favor and delete the 7:33 post by the “Steve from OH” imposter? Thanks!
Yeah Dunn likes KK, I believe he did that last time we were in DC. At worse the score should be 3-2 Braves. McLouth lack of a catch really hurts. 2 runs.

I like your idea of replacing Frenchy w/ Schafer, except for 1 thing; we need Schafer to get his hitting squared away BEFORE bringing him back up.
At this point I could care less about his hitting. McLouth is not a Center Fielder.
Cant the braves ask MLB not to put the nats in their schedule!!!!!!!
I’m glad no one was on base for that homer.
Kawakami needs to just grind out 5 for us. And our offense needs to just continue scoring. Plenty of nights where our pitching gave up 2 or less runs and still lost. The offense needs to put up 8 or more runs tonight. Simple as that.
July 3rd, 20097:45 pm
Is Cox watching the same game as we are. Kawakami has nothing. We have 8 in the pen. Get somebody else in there.
Dunn is the perfect #6 hitter in a lineup. I know teams have put him in slots other than that but he’s perfect for that spot. Great #5 hitter as well.
Jim Powell looks like an ancestor of mine I saw in a 1870 photo.
Schafer 0-3 with a K
Ok, Medlen better be warming up
I guess Adam Dunn is not good enough to be on our team! All you experts are correct!
July 3rd, 20097:46 pm
Steve from OH……….I’ve been a victim of the “impostor” as well. Not much you can do but ignore it.
Not sure how much longer we can let him stay in there if we want to win. Problem is, you know best case scenario Hanson is going 6 innings, so we can’t really afford to kill our pen. Tough call.
And I just need to grind on Francoeur
July 3rd, 20097:47 pm
And all of you so call know it alls said the braves didn’t need adam dunn he’s bad in the field ! he’s bad in the field ! Don’t trade shaffer for dunn !!! Enough said with that homerun !!!
gotta get Detwiler out. Pretty big AB, sadly. If we can get through this and the next inning, we can get Medlen in there for the duration
1957 Braves Fan
Why is it everyone can beat these Nats except us?
Epinephrine…………..I still feel that Kawakami can grind out a couple of more innings. Then again, 80 pitches already, lol. Damn.
KK ain’t foolin anyone tonight including this Pitcher…80 pitches…grosssssss
July 3rd, 20097:48 pm
It should be really close to Medlin time. Can I get an amen?
Philly leading Mets 4 – 0
wow logan warming up
So “only” one run this inning…
Is Medlen warming up? He better be.
Paul Lentz: Rip all you want. Frenchy will be there all night for ya, bro.
Jerry Holcombe, AMEN!
I just quoted Joe Simpson saying “80 pitches” already. 10 seconds later, they show a stat on the tube saying that Kawakami has thrown 64 pitches.
Ok…let’s get one back here, grind through next inning or two, and see where we are. Good news is, Nats don’t have many attractive options in the OF either. This is a game we really should win.
Dunn’s ball will land in another 7 minutes.
July 3rd, 20097:49 pm
haha i meant pen, not OF
July 3rd, 20097:50 pm
any chance of KK, Medlen, Kotch, and Franc for Dunn and Willingham?
66 pitches through 3 innings for Kawakami. Hopefully he can give us 2 more innings and our offense can continue to score runs for us. Just one of those nights. I’m not going to rip Kawakami too much for it.
Knee Jerk Fan
TRADE KAWAKAMI RIGHT NOW, HE BLOWS !!!!!!!!!
July 3rd, 20097:51 pm
Haha Don Sutton sounds drunk. He just said “sex hits…i mean six hits….and he fouls it off Detwiler’s foot, I mean McLouths, over to the Nationals dugout…I mean the Braves dugout”.

Lets make everyone happy and trade Escobar for Dunn. LOL!!!
Tha was funny, knee jerk fan.
Must be more rust….Let’s go with rust
we need Gregor back in there! (:
Nate looks terrible tonight….. he is hitting 254.
Man maybe they should have let Blanco play a couple of more games. McLouth is suckin.
Coach (2010 or Bust)
Francoeur is making Cox look like the complete blind fool that he really is!
July 3rd, 20097:53 pm
epinephrine: I hate Sutton. Rip all you want on him as well.
July 3rd, 20097:54 pm
Seriously: If McCann is in there against lefties, why the hell isn’t GA playing? PUT DIAZ IN RIGHT. PUT GA IN LEFT. PUT FRENCHY ON THE G DAMN BENCH. I am so sick of this clown ruining rallies with his pathetic squib hits to the right side.
Would he even start in Gwinnett?
Wayne in Utah
Gotta have some patience with these young players……
WOW Prado is the lil enegizer bunny He just keeps goin and goin and goin
Ok. Let’s get mArteeen in.
Gotta score here…again
chipper is going yard
It would be nice if McLouth would get involved with this hit parade.
No reason why Frenchy is in there anymore. He’s killing us.
Diaz and Garret should be the starters. Play Frenchy on Sundays and let him converse with DOB about his lingerie.
July 3rd, 20097:55 pm
Coach- Francoeur is making Francoeur look like the complete blind fool that he really is!
there you Chipper
HAHA Prado, nice!
We do seem to have a problem with people blogging under other people’s names Carroll. Can we get this stopped?
Stop paying attention to Coach, it’s akin to wearing a t-shirt that says, “LOOK AT ME”. In the meantime, Braves are playing great ball.
ok what is going on here…KK needs stay in that dugout…
Gonna be one of those games…
Buckle up – bumpy ride all night!
Chipper’s lil punch to left and where tied. Thank you
Not giving this game up without a fight.
July 3rd, 20097:56 pm
Thank you God!!! Oh, I mean Thank You Chipper!
Need to actually go ahead one of these innings.
What I’m talkin’ about!
this is a different team … after they tied it up at 1 and got behind again, the old team would have said they can’t keep doing this anymore
Hey can marteeeeen relieve KK next inning?
I like this showing. Fighting to stay in it.
MAC! He and Chipper are back baby. If they get hot, look out. I honestly don’t think we need another bat-we just need Jeff out of the lineup.
man these guys are hitting like crazy right now i hope we can keep this up for a few months lol
rjb in atl
Prado is just raising everyone’s game. Really fun to watch him play.
umpire not doing his job! prado could have really been hurt sliding into that bat. who is that piece of …
Well Dilizter gettin drilled now pour it on. come on winny von shauzer
July 3rd, 20097:57 pm
Well, that’s that. Hope the BP is just as bad as the starter.
Prado just continues to rake it. He’s hitting .313.
Nice hit Chipper. I told you guys. Our offense has to pick it up tonight. There have been plenty of nights where the offense SUCKED while our pitching was good. Tonight, it looks like our pitching is going to suck. It’s time for our hitting to bail out our pitching tonight.
Looks like both Chipper and McCann are showing signs of breaking out of it. We have Escobar and Diaz coming up right now. A bomb would be nice by either of them.
Having Alzheimer’s and being the manager of the Braves combines for the same pure unending stupidity.
Hey! What do you know? 2-3! Even if he did get out with a RISP, this is nice!
You gotta win this, boys!
I’ll say it now….Martin Prado is going to be the team MVP after all is said and done.
July 3rd, 20097:58 pm
Bigmacattack, the thing is, this team appeared during the first Boston series, not against the Phils-and maybe against the Cubs before that. It was then they started battling back, playing quality ball, great pitching, etc. It just translated into close games against really good teams rather than wins. But they took that same approach against a team that wasn’t as good-the Phils-and it showed immediately.
Yeah…gotta say. With Martin in there, this lineup is A LOT closer to a major league lineup rather than the AAA lineup they were trotting out with KJ.
maybe we can skip Francouer when it comes his turn to bat this inning.
Prado and Diaz are showing they belong in there everyday. Jeff doesnt have to do anything to be a reguler except show up to the game.
July 3rd, 20097:59 pm
Well, so much for the Braves being in on Humberto Valor…the Reds just signed him.
I have a bad feeling about this inniing..
July 3rd, 20098:00 pm
If Wren feels he really has to trade Yunel, maybe we can deal Cox and Frenchy for Joe Torre. That guy has managed a lot of personalities over the years.
YOU DON”T TRADE ESCOBAR
that’s why you can’t trade Esco … we’d miss him doing things like that to much lol
*and his RBIs
Chop It Up All-Star
Yunel in the 5th spot is gold baby, gold!!
Hate on THAT haters!
Yunel is a beast!!!!
July 3rd, 20098:01 pm
At least Manny Acta knew when to pull his pitcher. I can’t say the same for our slob of a manager.
Yunel should be a allstar not Rollins!!!!!!
yep. escobar is killing us! trade him now.
Yunel has a bad attitude towards those Nat pitchers.
