this is horrible, gotta put in medlen if kawakami gives up another run. not really kawakami’s fault, just wrong timing on being rusty after not pitching for over 9 days and the team having the hottest streak of the season, though, this has happened to atlanta since 2005……
Yeah Dunn likes KK, I believe he did that last time we were in DC. At worse the score should be 3-2 Braves. McLouth lack of a catch really hurts. 2 runs.
Kawakami needs to just grind out 5 for us. And our offense needs to just continue scoring. Plenty of nights where our pitching gave up 2 or less runs and still lost. The offense needs to put up 8 or more runs tonight. Simple as that.
Not sure how much longer we can let him stay in there if we want to win. Problem is, you know best case scenario Hanson is going 6 innings, so we can’t really afford to kill our pen. Tough call.
And all of you so call know it alls said the braves didn’t need adam dunn he’s bad in the field ! he’s bad in the field ! Don’t trade shaffer for dunn !!! Enough said with that homerun !!!
Ok…let’s get one back here, grind through next inning or two, and see where we are. Good news is, Nats don’t have many attractive options in the OF either. This is a game we really should win.
66 pitches through 3 innings for Kawakami. Hopefully he can give us 2 more innings and our offense can continue to score runs for us. Just one of those nights. I’m not going to rip Kawakami too much for it.
Haha Don Sutton sounds drunk. He just said “sex hits…i mean six hits….and he fouls it off Detwiler’s foot, I mean McLouths, over to the Nationals dugout…I mean the Braves dugout”.
Seriously: If McCann is in there against lefties, why the hell isn’t GA playing? PUT DIAZ IN RIGHT. PUT GA IN LEFT. PUT FRENCHY ON THE G DAMN BENCH. I am so sick of this clown ruining rallies with his pathetic squib hits to the right side.
Would he even start in Gwinnett?
Prado just continues to rake it. He’s hitting .313.
Nice hit Chipper. I told you guys. Our offense has to pick it up tonight. There have been plenty of nights where the offense SUCKED while our pitching was good. Tonight, it looks like our pitching is going to suck. It’s time for our hitting to bail out our pitching tonight.
Looks like both Chipper and McCann are showing signs of breaking out of it. We have Escobar and Diaz coming up right now. A bomb would be nice by either of them.

Francoeur should be sent AA. The pitcher makes better contact than Frenchy
Francoeur better not be allowed anywhere near Freeman and Heyward.

I like your idea of replacing Frenchy w/ Schafer, except for 1 thing; we need Schafer to get his hitting squared away BEFORE bringing him back up.
At this point I could care less about his hitting. McLouth is not a Center Fielder.

Dunn is the perfect #6 hitter in a lineup. I know teams have put him in slots other than that but he’s perfect for that spot. Great #5 hitter as well.
