If Chippers hurt we’re really screwed, he’s one of only 3 players that Bobby Cox plays with a high on base percentage.
Steve, one reason for the repitition is so it will sink in. You seem to prefer slugging percentage over on base percentage for your lineup, *that* is the sign know nothing. Baseball is simple if you learn which stats matter and which ones don’t and how teams function.
Bobby is on cruise control putting in our worst hitters at the top of the lineup. He should be requesting Brandon Jones as a leadoff man and Diaz in right. If those players were in the chances of us winning this game against the Phils would be much, much higher.

Kotchman has a great glove but he has got to be the slowest guy I have ever seen. Utley still almost had a chance to gte him. Its not like he isn’t trying but it looks like he’s running hard and just going absolutely nowhere.

You would think at least the Braves will retire his number.
Say what you want but the guy performed in the post-season, unlike a lot of guys on this team, and as the trivia question revealed, he had his share of highlights in all star games.

-I note alot of people advocating trades of various sorts to get another “bat” in town. I have a cheaper suggestion: before trading anybody, try getting rid of that fatass hitting coach and getting one who knows how to piss & hit the ground. It may work, or it may not. It certainly can’t make things any worse, and if there is no improvement by the end of the year, THEN go shopping.
