Pennski………..I’ll give Francoeur some props when he DESERVES it. Hitting a homer or double once every 3 weeks isnt going to cut it.
CONSISTENT power is what the Braves need from the right field position….not “lucky underwear”, lol.

I’m glad you agree that Yunel is obviously one of our best players. If we trade him we WILL get ripped off!
I have more faith in Frank Wren than trading away Yunel Escobar although I think Bobby Cox would trade him for Kelly Johnson straight up if he was GM.

agree, but I’m pretty sure Bobby wouldn’t tolerate that either. If that was the case, I bet it’d be pretty obvious that Bobby was furious at Escobar (RG)
well not if he could prove it, but thats pretty hard to do plus even thinking that way opens up a can of worms in the clubhouse. You would never want to think that one of your players is laying down, and Bobby being a players manager would be even less likely to think that. IMO it a mountain made out of a molehill, cause I think Esco has indeed been hurting.

That’s what happens when players get on base! Outs aren’t made and players get *on base*. (That’s for you Steven) If you have a problem with the truth of this baseball axiom, you are dumber than Bobby Cox.
I will point out the 1 major flaw we have. Bobby Cox’s reliance on low OBP hitters. And I will suggest how to fix it. Replace Bobby Cox (because he will not put in the right players, a different manager WILL (IE Greg Maddux). I will continue to point out this flaw and the solution as long as I can.
Steve, go back to your old awesome state you moved down from. Don’t screw up my State by being an a-hole.

He has no homers in 185 at bats. He’s having a very weird season. His OBP is tremendous at .378 but he’s slugging only .368. You’d think he was a slaphitting speed demon with those numbers.

Not a Garrett Anderson hater, but I most definitly would prefer Gary Sheffield over him. No Gary isn’t the power threat he used to be but if you don’t take him seriously he can still hit it a very long way. The Mets kind of took him like a bench/platoon player but he sure has been big for them.
