zookey…………what I “have a problem with” is a player who has hit only 5 homers all year, talking about how his “lucky underwear” has helped the Braves go 7-0 whenever he wears them. This isnt ‘People Magazine’. I could careless less about hearing him talk about what he wears to bring the Braves “good luck”.
However about wearing something that will help him hit some homers?

DOB– I was just asking the question because that is what the TV guys were saying. As far as belief is concerned, I will always believe you and Carroll before any Braves announcers or Bowman or especially the TV guys from MBL and ESPN. You and Carroll make being a fan an informed and fun experience!

This website is far from anti-Yunel. DOB compliments him often, I’ve never got the feeling from him, like I do from Joe Simpson, that he just doesn’t like the guy. Joe can’t do his job without showing bias, he loves Frenchy even when his own mama is saying ‘damn Jeff, you kinda suck, huh?’ but the Braves have tried their best to trade him.

DOB…don’t crucify me if you think this is a terrible idea. I just finished reading the article about Joe Mauer in last week’s SI. They made a point to talk about Mauer becoming a free agent after next year, and how the Red Sox and Yankees will be desperate to try to sign him IF the Twins are stupid enough not to extend him this year. Here’s my question…if they sign Mauer to the monster deal he deserves, does that make Morneau expendable? I mean, surely they would love to keep them both, but what if the Twins can’t afford both of their salaries? When will Morneau be a free agent? Is it possible that a team like Atlanta could turn some prospects and some good pitching into a Justin Morneau? Just a thought.
