Great game by Blanco and Prado. Happy for those guys. Prado didn’t give up on that at bat when he fell behind, gotta love it. Way to pick up one of your solid bullpen guys. Now, on to Cole Hamels…..
We’ll have to agree to disagree…I think Riaan Spanjer-Furstenburg is better. Especially in addition to the other half of our Danville catching corps, Daniel Elorriaga-Matra.
I swear to God those are names from a Monty Python skit. Were they in “How Not To Be Seen”?
Roman, we all love ya don’t worry. Unfortunately, with Omar coming back soon……KJ will be out the door. Although I would not be opposed one bit to him getting sent to Gwinette to relearn LF.
Mrs. francoeur needs to have the washer ready for some turkey briefs, and KJ needs to get comfortable off the bench awhile. BRAVES WIN! BRAVES WIN! BRAVES WIN!
I remember the other day when CJ was sitting in the dugout long after one of their defeats. Martin Prado was also still sitting there. I think Martin has a desire to win that needs to be contagious.
That was a nice win in a season of full of so many disappointments. It sure would be nice if Bobby recognizes the folly of playing Kelly Johnson instead of Prado. As for the game itself, I would venture that this win makes up for the loss against the Phils in the first week of the season.
Gregor is a pretty good ball player, I would send Diory down and bring up Burke. Is there anything to the Geoff Jenkins talk or just one of the posters blowing smoke?
Jerald Holcombe: “That was a nice win in a season of full of so many disappointments. It sure would be nice if Bobby recognizes the folly of playing Kelly Johnson instead of Prado.”
Good luck. I can assure you that Prado will not play both Wed. and Thurs. (he may play 1 but no way for both).
Excellent game by our bench guys. For sure Prado will get some more starts. I would still love to see him spell Chipper once in a while, and let KJ get an AB or two.
Our season would be a lot more promising if some of our struggling hitters got with the program. Frenchy is looking better, GA is not “loafing” as much, and Prado has been money.
We need Chipper and Mac to get back to normal, as well as KJ picking it up a notch or two.
Let’s not get too crazy about this win tonight. Unless we show we can do this on a regular basis, we are still only an average/.500 type team otherwise.
Its a shame they didnt trade KJ for an outfielder in the spring. Now KJ is a bench player and the player Chipper called the best hitter on the team before Opening Day is our new 2B. Way to go Martin!
Boy this team just has no fire do they? Didn’t seem too excited about that win.
Are you serious? They sure looked happy to me. Big smile and hug from Chipper’s grumpy face, Cox and TP even came out on the field to greet him. Short of doing back handsprings across the field, I don’t know what more they could have done to look more excited about the win.

my my. That worthless guaranteed-loss lineup came back in the 8th and scored in the 10th to win another one run game. Bastids got no heart, fer shur!! Worthless Blanco, shoot the bum!
Pete, I agree with you. I can almost guarantee that Bobby plays Johnson against Hamels and Happ. Bobby absolutely does not learn and refuses to go against that stupid book.
Are you serious?? You’re gonna throw Gonzo under the bus after one blown save????? If that is the case, then I have been giving you more credit than you deserve. You need to re-examine that statement, my friend.
This game saved our season. If we lost this game, I think that the Phillies sweep us. However, hopefully the Bravos can come out tomorrow and light up Hamels. We need these next 2 games.
