I think Escobar should run like a man to first base when he hits the ball weakly. Lord knows he’s getting paid well enough, I’d like to see him earn his pay. Same goes to the other players who don’t run it out to 1st base.

ballgame:
As the home team it makes sense to use “closers” in the 9th. We will not have a save situation in this game. If we take a lead, we win. The visiting team’s strategy is to hold the closer in reserve until they get a lead. So.. it seems like the Braves have played the right bullpen strategy so far. (Gonzo just didn’t deliver.)

Exactly how did Bobby mismanage the bullpen? He had 3 inning to cover in a close game. We ALL knew that Soriano and Gonzo would get an inninng each, and whether O’F or Moylan got the third inning, was the only real question.
So, exactly what did he do wrong? Better to go with your best, than to lose with your others….
