please chime out if you don’t actually think chipper and mccann are the reason we are in the high .400s and not the high .300s.
Not the same guy, Braveheart. That Jared was lucid. This current total waste of air makes Paul Lentz look almost coherent. And I’m pretty sure the original Jared didn’t use a little girl’s spelling of “cojones”.
I literally can’t believe that.
RHR, that’s on you now.
There it goes
First pinch-hit homer of Mayberry’s career.
And two pitches later, one of those lesser lights I mentioned, Feliz, does it to the Braves AGAIN!!
Rob from SC
Doing to do the dishes
Son of a Beotch!!!!!
RJB in DC
that’s why they are the world champs and the Braves are second class wannabees
Edward( Bobby Retires after 2009 or Bust )

This is just laughable
ball game….. thats why cox sucks…..
Its all on you, Mitchell. lol dammit kid, don’t you know to NEVER say “We might actually win this one”
the braves sux PERIOD
This could end up being the game that kills our season, just like when Kelly dropped that pop up last year.
I knew The Blo-Pen Would Fck Up against This Philly Offense…We were long overdue…
And…that’s all for me. Good night. I’m going to abstain from anything Braves until next Monday.
June 30th, 20099:25 pm
Gonzo blew the game. The guy sucks, the team sucks. Trade everybody.
Not my fault.
Can’t win when you play like this. Not going to even blame Gonzo. It was bound to happen.
Not a good night for Gonzo. But at least our dead on announcers had it again.
damn, I bet we’d like to have those two or three bunts back now
Mayberry’s huge. Apparently,he can hit, too.
DANGIT!! That Filez guy is being a butt tonight!!
Thats what happens when everyone in your line up can hit the ball including someone on the bench. Do we have a pinch hit hr this year?
what a shame
Under the gun now…..
At least this loss will get pinned on Gonzo. What a lamer!
this is what good hitters do. They are in another league hitting.
the reason I say that is because why the hec is he in the game to face ONE left hander with all righty’s coming up… Thank you GONZO and cox….
June 30th, 20099:26 pm
Gonzo in non-save = loss. Almost every time.
Edward This is just laughable
Well I sure as heck ain’t laughin’.
I don’t Believe This Shyt!!! Gonzo was too pumped up after that strkieout to Werth…
Greg Olson Homers
_Gonzo blew the game. The guy sucks, the team sucks. Trade everybody._
haha, you sound like a Phillies fan. I love people who refuse to look at a guy’s body of work when he fails. The situation does suck though.
This team is historically bad, nothing but losers on the team. How can a team suck at every aspect of the game. 100 loss season, at least we can get rid of some of these clowns before the deadline.
Two outs and two strikes–and the death spiral starts….
SELL SELL SELL lol oh well need a miracle
June 30th, 20099:27 pm
who woulda thought that would happen. my stomach is in knots…just unbelievable.
Please don’t hit a door when you get back to the dugout MG.
Loaf can still hit
yep time for the braves to face the music and rebuild……
Well Foks Those Runs We failed to get earlier because of Piss Poor Fundamentals really hurt right Now…!
Well…..I’ve said all year long with starting pitching as lousy as the phils have, their BP would be worn out by mid year. Let’s see if I’m right. Hope so.
Wayne in Utah
So, our closer (or one of out two closers) gives up two homers back to back, and it’s because “cox sucks”?
Unbelievable! Get frustrated, but just don’t get stupid!
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Typical.
the hope of the braves nation rests in your hands mr hanson
we lose this game…..we are getting swept no doubt. imagine what our record will be when these guys actually pack it in. we could lose 90 games this season….again.
that was a save situation…he should get a Blown Save for that
June 30th, 20099:28 pm
Gonzo needs to punch a metal door.
Better trade Frenchy fast since he lost it for us!
Paul Lentz you are a F L A M E. The only thing you contribute is stupid.
All Gonzo on this one SO FAR!!
Scoots, just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
great approach you losers. ballgame and turned the game… thank goodness football season and Hockey season are a few months away……
Will our offense pick him up, guy has a bad night but our offense can’t expect a 1 run lead to hold up against the Phillies. We should have had more runs off Blanton. Even the good guys in the pen aren’t going to have it all the time.
I hope Gonzo doesn’t hit anything. Unless he wants to take a shot at Bennett’s pitching hand.
Reminds me of the 80s. We seem to find new ways to lose every night.
were gunna be 35-41 after this game. will be out of contention in a week.
We gotta come back out and show some fight! Time for a last AB win for the Braves for a freakin change.
Switch to the Giants game. They are playing good ball. Don’t torture yourself with the Braves!
Entering tonight, righties were hitting .205 off Gonzalez, while lefties were hitting .241. That could be why? But yeah, Cox is to blame of course.
Im just tired of Gonzalez…………..
Soriano is our closer…………dont need 2 closer…………deal him and get us a bat.
A bat can get the runs he might be saving us on any given week……………
Gonzalez is always in trouble………….never a 1-2-3 overpowering………………also getting us nail biters and now giving us this crap…………send him ……….. KJ + Gonzo + JoJo = Slugger + middle reliever
June 30th, 20099:29 pm
No way the Braves score 2 runs in the last 2 innings to win it. No way.
8th and 9th suppost to be one of the best parts of the team……
Gonzo has been really good this year. He challenges everyone and tonight they got him. When you come after everyone everytime sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes it eats you. The bear is full tonight.
June 30th, 20099:30 pm
The Braves haved matched the Phills run for run so far tonight, so let’s hope they keep it going.
Gonzo = Epic Fail
4 runs is asking too much of the Braves.
Guess Frenchy can put away the lucky underwear now…or loan it to Gonzo! LOL
Braves gonna be 8 back-season over?
we should have let Diaz hit for Lowe and get more runs……..
June 30th, 20099:31 pm
Does this actually suprise anyone? Nice call bobby gonzo wow awful team last place when the natinals rebuild in two years that will be a fact and probally until they CLEAN HOUSE
Diaz in, 2 outs.
Need Greg Norton-too big a loss
Yep, gotta trade that Escobar guy now and for all those complaining about Gonzo, he had a bad night, but I would hate to think how bad we would be right now if we didn’t have him.
God help us. Seriously.
The Braves just find ways to lose games. And props for Atlanta for showing up to the game looks like a good crowd tonight.
June 30th, 20099:32 pm
Matt Diaz? I haven’t seen him in so long I thought he got traded.
Did that guy’s shirt say “I Farted”? Classy.
OMG Diaz struck out. He sucks. What is Cox thinking? Senile old man…
I am sure that by September, it will kill me that we cannot afford to keep both Gonzo and Soriano on the payroll for next year. I think they make a formidable pair. But for tonight….
Thats why Diaz doesn’t play everyday for you guys wanting him in RF. He’s just another loser on the bench.
time to cut bait with Bobby, finish the job Wren.
Wayne, please stop being such a sycophantic jerk. You are a coward with gang-type mentality. History is marred by people like you. I can assure you that our team would have a much better record with different lineup cards from a smarter manager. You would rather suckup to guys like Braveheart and Bobby Cox who is killing our team with his bad decisions. As I told you before, I *honestly* find this very sad. You prefer our team’s results to be FAR below what they should be, rather than voice your own opinion against Bobby (really, I think you actually support his coaching, which means you probably wouldn’t even consider evaluating whether his decisions hurt us). PLEASE, for your own sake, stop with the sycophantry and please think and voice your own thoughts. Thanks, and *YOU* have a nice night!
“While some of us get frustrated with the tactics of Bobby Cox, most of us realize that no manager is perfect, and that Bobby has attributes that others don’t. Is he the best manager for this team? That is not for you or me to determine, but for Frank Wren.
When Frank wants my opinion, I suspect he will call. We have somebody on the blog ocassionally that you would relate to. His name is Robert. Look him up sometimes.
Now, everybody knows you don’t like Bobby Cox, nor do you want him to manager one more inning. We get it.
We also get it that you are a bit shallow in your baseball IQ. So, a bit of friendly advice: Stoppped trying to match wits with some of the best of the blog (I certainly don’t include myself with those distinguished persons, but I know better than to call them idiots).
Otherwise, have a nice night!”
June 30th, 20099:33 pm
Wow, it’s Gonzo’s fault.
It’s baseball. You can’t expect to beat a good team, even one that’s struggling, not to take advantage when you don’t put the game away after multiple chances.
Ball four! Dammit.
Greg White: Bunt first, ask questions later.
Thank you ballgame!
OK Prado make us happy!!!!
June 30th, 20099:34 pm
steal blanco, steal
What, 2 aren’t enough? Nolie, RSF, and now a Russian man-bride? cabravesfan
Two? Uh…hello!! Jordan Schafer? But, four might be enough…Hey, I gotta keep up with you, right?
June 30th, 20099:35 pm
You can’t expect to beat a good team when you don’t take advantage.
You can’t expect a good team, even one that’s struggling, not to take advantage when you fail to put the game away.
One or the other.
If Prado homers here, there will be a KJ lynching.
