Yes he is ok. Great player. That’s a ballplayer.
At least a few of our players arent totally laying down. Both catchers, lol.
Can we put Ross in left/right Field?
Another double. Where’s McFann?
NO MORE BOBBY
F THE BRAVES!!!
SMOLTZ FOR MANAGER 2010
Garbage Blanco is up!
Gregor isn’t bunting. I don’t get it. I love my boy Greg but dude, you’re not getting a hit.
Believe mac was pulling Bobby leg, dizzzzzzzzzzzie
June 26th, 200910:22 pm
Mitchell u remind me of me. Congratulations.
I’m obviously pretty gay for Gregor. Not sure what that’s all about.
Just defending him. He’s got some skills.
there are 2 outs- a sac bunt is not going to be a good idea here…
Rossy can’t be any worse in RF than GA is in left. Let’s do it.
I’m sorry. DOB… Can you explain to me why B Mac was sitting in the dugout tonight battling “dizziness” or “vertigo” or whatever the hell his excuse was, yet he is capable of coming in and driving a ball to deep left center? Does this team want to win? Is Bobby Cox a manager or a day care teacher?
How so RHR?
Rob from SC
June 26th, 200910:23 pm
My wife just asked how good of a manager can Bobby Cox be when he only won one World Series with Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and Turner’s money.
Why wasn’t he bunting?
Gregor Blanco isn’t bad as a backup option. He can do some things well.
Oh, well. We deserved to lose this one.
F’k Booby And F’k This Team…! Cheese Whiz!
Well…basically ended they way we expected before the game.
That just makes Bobby look STUPITD not having Mac hit before KJ.
there’s a sweep a coming
No more bobby -
are you by chance related to paul lentz
and/or the truth?
June 26th, 200910:24 pm
True that. Why did KJ bat before Mac? Makes no sense…
Rob in Mobile
What a fitting way to end the game – another strikeout. Fugly, my friends, fugly.
I gotta go have a drink……
NO MORE BOBBY
LOL..I missed it what did they say?
i meant your comments. Dont be offended, i love me!
June 26th, 200910:25 pm
if you’ve ever had dizziness you would not have to ask that question- it is not something you mess with- just standing can be a challenge, but it can come and go…maybe he was just feeling better
lets face it, this home stand is going EXACTLY the way we all thought it would
“What would you have done differently tonight? Can’t you figure out that our players just aren’t that great?:”
Would not have given away an out letting JJ bat the last time he did
Would also have the team mentally sharp and ready to play, all day, every day – wouldnt tolerate poor fundamentals
June 26th, 200910:26 pm
All of you who are criticizing Cox should be banned from this blog. Start criticizing the players who aren’t performing well and leave Cox alone.
Yeah, I guess he’s not feeling to bad! (Sorry I’m late, Mom was on the computer.)
Dangit…at least they didn’t get shutout, but sheesh! This losing is getting boring…
The Braves are pathetic losers once again.
Decrepit old Bobby Cox continues to run this franchise into the ground.
cabravesfan, you got me. Good thing he didn’t try to bunt.
He’s fast. That’s about the only thing he’s got going for him in that spot.
We have two guys on deck who could tie it up or win it. He needed to find a way to get on base or did he not?
Nothing else is working for the love of God. Any sort of contact is better than that.
Give me a ****ing break.
June 26th, 200910:27 pm
I just cut myself…
Did you know Big Papi has as many home runs and RBI as Chipper?
Man, it’s gettin harder and harder to watch this sack of crap braves team. I say we blow this team up and start over soon. I don’t care how “attainable” this division is- we suck and don’t deserve to win it. this is my first doom and gloom post of this year. I think I’ve waited long enough
Jurrjens, Hanson, and Soriano haven’t sucked. It’s still not enough.
I love me two.
June 26th, 200910:28 pm
Anyone who believes that Cox is a good manager should not be allowed to vote, drive a car, or have paper money.

Good No More Chip Carey Til Next week…! The One good thing I saw/heard from the telecast tonight!
This team is f’in Lame!
Lay off Cox. It hasn’t been his best year, but it’s the sorry players who are to blame.
Poor JJ…what’s that, like, 5 losses in a row? So undeserving…well, I guess he didn’t lose his last start…
Yeah, Kotchy has been a little cold lately.
June 26th, 200910:30 pm
Agreed. The Braves should be disbanded and sold for scrap.
It’s pretty sad that David Ross has as many if not more HR’s then most of our starters.. This team is a joke..
Dob should just add “cox said what can you say? Beckett is one of the best. You gotta tip your hat to him, we couldnt get anything off him.” to the game story and head on home early.
Yeah T’Hawkin, but we get those idiots on Fox tomorrow. Fun times.
June 26th, 200910:31 pm
June 26th, 200910:32 pm
Cox is a moron who wouldn’t know the difference between strategy and a bottle of George Dickel.
wow can you say this team has just quit. they have quit on the fans and the city.. there needs to be a change now.. we are kidding ourselves this team will make another post season run… not with cox as our manager.. for the 2nd time in a row.. Josh Beckett shuts out the atlanta braves.we cant score 1 run off him yet every other team is able to score on him… and 3 straight losses.. wow this team truly blows and sucks.. Im sorry its time for a serious change and it starts with bobby cox .. i said it before the game even started they would be shut out again. You saw him 6 days ago. learn from that and see his stuff and take notes. ill prepared and an awful approach to him again…. im done routin for this team this year. Go Rays. They have a payroll thats 3 times as less than the braves and there 5 games over 500 and competing for the playoffs.. lets go big Ben.. The braves need a player like ben zobrist who gives it 100% every nighttt…. this braves team please is a joke.. from the Gm , fat cox to the players …game over and season is done…

I’m gonna blow my head off — Yunel’s Frosted Tips
Listen, man, if you insist on this, do it right. Get ahold of a good grenade, or even better, some C-4. You should have a”going away party”. I, and I think some of the other bloggers, will take care of all the arrangements and the “guest list”. Especially, the “guest list”.
My nine year old daughter’s report on the game: 4-1, 2 out in the bottom of the ninth, some sucky dude up to bat.
June 26th, 200910:34 pm
Frank Wren put this crap together. He needs to go!
It amazes me that no one wants to put any blame on these players. When they strike out, it’s Bobby’s fault. When they make an error, it’s Bobby’s fault. When they give up a HR, it’s Bobby’s fault. Give me a break. Do you fools even watch the games? Face it, this just isn’t a very good team. If it bothers you all so much, why continue to watch?
June 26th, 200910:35 pm
Considering That It is Hot as Balls Outside I think I’m gonna get my party on that the pool 2morrow, any suggestions around the Avondale Estates Area/Druid Hills Area? I will be working out in that area 2morrow…
I hate the Braves
Time to party. The Atlanta cowards go down to defeat once again.
I’m kinda enjoying mean you
June 26th, 200910:36 pm
Yeah, let Frank Wren go, not Cox. Wren is responsible for this mess.
Reading thru the blog, I’ve been laughing at the idiocy displayed here. So many genius GM’s and managers here, but not enough teams for them all.
June 26th, 200910:38 pm
Good nite all. I can’t take this team serious anymore. I believe we all have better things to do with our time.. I hope the Braves can muster some strength for the rest of this season. The clubhouse is going to get ugly soon. I just want to see some fun baseball again, I remember watching the Braves in the world series in 96 when I lived in Africa. I was so excited to see them try at least. This is not baseball anymore nor is it even intelligent. Change must come to Atlanta and soon..Go Braves & at least try to care for those of us who care! If you guys want action,, watch the Mets and Yankees play….At least you get emotion and excitement. I wish Atlanta would havw some of that!
The real problem is the doofus Braves fans who love Bobby Cox as if he were some loser civil war general. They cling to the past and don’t see how incompetent, corrupt leadership has doomed them.
June 26th, 200910:39 pm
Look, all the Braves need is for the teams ahead of them in the division to start losing games so badly that MLB decides to change some of their previous wins into losses.
Steve from OH
But you’d give away outs bunting, stealing, and hitting-and-running? LOL! You really are an idiot.
June 26th, 200910:40 pm
Okay, then here’s another question. What do you hope to accomplish by spreading your gospel? You have zero pull and neither does anyone here. Like it or not, Bobby isn’t going anywhere. Your act is sooo tired and it wears on everyone. I find it hilarious that you truly believe that if Bobby is canned this team immediately becomes a playoff team. The players aren’t that good. There is no help on the way for our offense. I wish in the future you would just post your name with no comments when Bobby does something you disagree with. That would show everyone that you are here and you disapprove but it would be so much less annoying. People understand your stance but you can’t change anything. If you could, you would have already.
Chipper is washed up. McCann can’t play. Why? Does he have an anxiety disorder? Is he just scared because Victorino is coming soon?
Would you please explain to njbraves, @ 10:34, the perils of being so logical. Geeez!
June 26th, 200910:41 pm
Are you talking about Cox or the government? How is he corrupt?
The other teams in this division are lousy.
I’m convinced now that we’re lousier.
Might as well begin shopping Gonzo and Soriano now.
I know we’re not far behind, but this team’s not capable of making a legitimate run at anything this year. Two steps forward, three steps back, ain’t gonna do it.
Yunel's Frosted Tips
June 26th, 200910:42 pm
I hope Yunel gets enough of Cox picking on him and takes a baseball bat to him in the clubhouse like they used to do in Cuba.
Hopefully Frank Wren is thinking a trade. Nothing big but something little. I’m ready to depart with one of the combo of Frenchy or KJ. Was willing to wait to the postseason but I don’t think I can watch this much longer. KJ’s value is dipping by the game. I prefer to see him go first just so we can give Prado a chance to prove himself. How are we still in this. If the Yankees win tonight they will be as many games back as we will. This division is horrible. We may very well be able to win it if we make a trade because its just that bad. If Frank Wren thinks we have a chance and makes a trade I hope its nothing like the Tex trade for Holiday or something. I’m tired of KJ’s struggles and Garrett Anderson’s offense does not outweigh his defense. Does anyone know how Brandon Jones is doing in AAA? We need someone who can move out there.
Bobby Cox is a morally corrupt, drunken wife-beater who only knows how to communicate through swear words and grunts.
June 26th, 200910:44 pm
I hate to say it, but I think it’s time to trade some guys and look to next year. This year is a wash.
June 26th, 2009
lets face it, this home stand is going EXACTLY the way we all thought it would
I for one genuinely thought this would be a winning homestand. That loss to the Sawx on Sunday was not the way to start it. I thought we would win that series.
We should and would have won the last series if not for Joba the Hut (hilarious) nailing KK in the neck. It’s been downhill since. They’re better than this but we can’t win without BMac or Yunel and now possibly McLouth. We definitely cannot win with Diory and KJ out there.
It clearly started out in our favor but the last three games, it hasn’t really been an even playing field.
That off day on Monday might be pretty crucial… why am I still making predictions?
The Phillies do seem like the perfect team to be coming into town. I don’t know if we’re going to have our %$#@ together by then but if we do, I think we might be able to make something out of this damn homestand after all.
I don’t know. I honestly don’t know, but the Phillies suck, I feel we match up well against them. If any of these games have been must-win, those would be must-win or blow your freaking brains out.
I have hope. Somebody tell me why.
I don’t even feel like bashing any of our beloved misfits tonight.
Take care all…
June 26th, 200910:45 pm
Not sure that Cox’s off the field problems are to blame for our offensive woes.
I’m kinda enjoying mean you
LAdy— All I want, for you, for me, for all of us, is a nicer, safer, more ascetic (after the clean-up) blog.
June 26th, 200910:46 pm
Damn I did forget Soriano…and let’s face it run support or not before tonight JJ hasn’t been pitching well the last couple of games…but I guess it doesn’t matter how many you give up when your team doesn’t score….if I were him I would have thrown something in that dugout.
June 26th, 200910:47 pm
SOWEGA Fanatic, The dumb a@@ has showed up to tell everyone how stupid we are.
June 26th, 200910:48 pm
You’ve been around long enough to know that logical posts like your 10:34 have no place here! They will either be ignored or mocked by the Stupid and force you to defend your ridiculous logic until either your brain melts or you give up. Don’t bother. It’s not worth your time
Get ****ing lost. Get your head out of your ass.
You’re an ****ing idiot.
Frank Wren is really the evil dwarf Timothy Geithner.
Have you ever seen them together?
Wren is only interested in cheating Braves fans of their hard-earned money in order to subsidize poor quality baseball.
Sorry T’Hawkin – I’m in Gwinnett so can’t really help ya in that area. It will be a good day to hit up the pool though. Hot as hell.
June 26th, 200910:49 pm
Pinella has his favorites too…He let’s Zambrano destroy almost anything and Milton Bradley throws his helmet and hits a cooler and gets benched and sent home….I mean Carlos took a bat to a machine….good grief what is with managers showing favorites?
June 26th, 200910:51 pm
So we now know that “Mitchell” is one of the doofuses supporting the vulgar idiot Bobby Cox.
You better not try to drive a car. You are not capable of such a complex act.
Go figure- I think the blog ate my post to njbraves about his logic and why it has no place here- and I don’t feel like retyping it.
Dream big my dear- some day your vision may come true
June 26th, 200910:52 pm
How many names is Robert going to post under tonight, I wonder?
June 26th, 200910:53 pm
Well, somebody needed to point it out.
I’m out too. Night ya’ll.
Did Cox beat up one of your relatives or something? This sounds personal.
June 26th, 200910:54 pm
Hydranamo, I don’t agree with your 10:42. Sorry.
Hydranamo, here’s a thought: go **** yourself you worthless piece of ****.
June 26th, 200910:55 pm
I heard that dog-killers and child molestors are big supporters of Bobby Cox.
you still around?
Tim and Jim
Hi guys this is Jim, my husband and I miss Corky and his partner. sorry to see him leave Atlanta.WE both hope he and Oscar (AKA sWeet poo bear) have a great time in Cincy. Hope to see them when we visit Cincy.Maybe we will run into them at the Gay Pride club.Take care boys. Jim and Tim love you both.
June 26th, 200910:56 pm
McCann been fighting a flu bug or some sickness, he said. But he plans to play next two games.
McLouth expects to miss no more than one or two games, if that.
June 26th, 200910:57 pm
Personally I knew this would happen to our pitchers. Trying to pitch a shutout everygame is not good and most pitchers tend to make mistakes when they are nitpicking and trying to be perfect because they know one run will cost us the game. I knew they would eventually hit a bad stretch which is why it sucks that we have wasted so many good performances by them. Josh Beckett can have all the confidence in the world and throw his game because he knows that if he messes up or if they actually get to him his offense will pick him up. Our pitchers can’t pitch with that confidence and they rarely pitch with a lead so we really don’t know how they would pitch if they had a lead. Every pitch has to be perfect. I hear some experts say its not the number of pitches that get to pitchers as much as it is the stress of the pitches. If thats the case our pitchers are probably crazy by now.
Prisons often have large Bobby Cox fan clubs.
