So, how can ATL avoid be swept by the SOX? BP is depleted with exception of Gonzo and Soriano. As crazy as it sounds, Francouer is about the only offense. Yeah Prado, Do you really think he will see the field? Oh and escobar, he will give back every he produces, back on defense.

I’ve got no issues with the Indians guys, but several teams seem to have interest in DeRo and I bet they offer more then a struggling RF, a struggling meddle reliever, a AAA guy that hasn’t shown much at the major league level and a utility guy with a balky leg. I’d love to have DeRo on this team, I am a HUGE fan of his, but the Indians can afford to ask a lot in return- that package won’t get it done

This team has a lot of holes – 1B, LF, RF, 3B, 4 arms in the bullpen, and a new coach. I hope ownership has another $40 mil they can drop on this team. Maybe then, fans will show up, you know..actual Braves fans.

OMFG, the Braves are getting worse and worse and worse every year since ‘06. Think about it, all this pitching they have and they’re how many under .500? I’ll bet with this pitching from ‘06-’08 that they would be at or over .500. Agree with me? The pen is struggling right now, but those are the middle relief,crappy pitchers. Lowe is struggling, but that’s normal for him to go through these stretches.
They are going nowhere because bad teams are like this….. they hit, don’t pitch…..pitch and they don’t hit. They will finish 3rd/4th again. Bobby Cox isn’t to fully blame but he’s lost the edge. Wren doesn’t know how to put a winning team on the field, obviously. Yep, the ‘09 Braves SUCK!

Tomahawkin, Did I call Chip a jerk. If I did, didn’t mean to. I like Chipper, but sometimes he just needs to shut his mouth and play ball. He has provided nothing since the Brewer series. All singles. If noone is getting on infront of you, just hit a solo HR. AS hot as Bmac has been, I find it hard to believe that they are still pitching around him. The last AB against pettite, he was praticly begging for a walk, putting the pressure on someone else.

I said on here a lil while ago that Lowe was throwing to many pitches. If the ump is not giving hime that low strike like tonight, he is going to get hammered, and hammered he did. He has no out pitch, and the Yanks unlike the Braves just hit the ball where it was pitched.

As bad as we play some nights, I still hope we don’t trade away a guy like Medlen for help this year. I see him being a good pitcher, with his stuff. Just gotta let him develop.
We really don’t have much to deal otherwise, unless it is a low minors guy, and I hate dealing those guys, as it might come back to bite you in the butt.

Chop it up All-Stars, I am going to argue that Lowe is not our Ace. We paid 60 mil for no more than a #3 at best. He is not an Ace because he can not comeout and shut teams down. Right now the true Ace is Vasquez.

This series reminds me a lot of the Red Sox series. It looked like we could compete with better pitching, but some bad luck and some poor performances have negated that to cause us to lose both series.

You know, for the better part of a month I kept saying the Braves problem was in the bullpen. I got called a moron for not “understanding” that the problem was the with the bats. Well, I’ll compromise. The Braves problem is that they can’t out-hit what the pen gives up.
