just wanted to thank the blogger yesterday for the heads up on how conrad was a career minor leaguer with no chance of helping the braves does that mean making a triple a all star team makes you a career minor leageur? or that pinch hit three run home runs wont help our bravos?

Thursday night's Bobby Cox "I'm in a coma like Michael Jackson" moments:

1) Cox leaves Lowe in game way TOO long, treating top hurler like a $20 tomato can sparring partner vs. heavyweight contender. Yankee announcers wondering why Cox continues to let Lowe get embarrassed, even outs are rocket balls.
2) In comes Medlen top 4th, first-and-third nobody out. After two outs, escape without any more runns allowed looking possible maintaining 6-1 Yankees' lead with Petite on deck. Might Cox remind 22-year-old rookie Medlen: walk Cody Ranson especially after it's a 2-0 count, with Petite next? No....laser-beam gapper, 8-1 Yankees. Petite K's on three pitches. Yankee snnounncers laugh, make fun of Cox, call it, "all the more confounding."

3) Garret Anderson, making it the even 100th time this season that he won't hustle, ends up on first after Jeter can hamdle pop-fly Texas Leaguer in bottom of the fourth. Both Yankees' announcers call Garret a "great player, but he easily should be on 2B, really failed to hustle. Bobby Cox won't stand for that."
Bobby, still in coma, probably thinking of post-game stoogie, plus there's some nice booger he needs to pick out of nose, and if someone reminds him of Garret's no-hustle, will Hee-Haw some folksy aw-shucks lame excuse rather than admit washed-up bum Anderson should stop sulking about low salary and will be disciplined.

"Hey this is my country club, and I'm the social director," will be all Cox will remind benign local media.

Your Thursday night Bobby Cox "I'm in a Michael Jackson coma moment."

How about move Chipper to first and get Josh Fields and Dye from the White Sox. Send Kotch to Pittsburgh for Sanchez. Chipper has to get off of 3rd soon,

I don't see any of the bloggers who crucified Frak Wren for not giving John Smoltz 5 million bucks chatting tonight. Here we are June 25th and Smoltz is finally on a major league roster getting lit up a christmas tree.

Yeah, Bench was the best, and as a lifelong Bravos fan, I always hated him and the Red Machine as they always kicked our butts. Carlton Fisk was good, too. Not in Bench's league, but good. And then there was Earl Williams and Biff Pocoroba. And, of course, Murph.

DMac - It was right on! How can you argue it?

Bobby's style of managing in the 90's was effective. He ahs lost a lot of his fire and it is clearly not working in'09

I applaud these columnist for tellign it like it is and not being "homers"
