Paul Lentz, there goes a hanger out of the ball park for ya. I’m not trying to be antagonistic here, just wanted to point it out for you!! Hopefully he can get hot
UNREAL. Well, there’s your right handed power, lol.
Now that was a hanger that had “put my a$$ in the cheap seats” written ALL OVER it. That is what I was talking about when I said that Francoeur needs to DRIVE hangers. Chamberlain hung that mofo and Francoeur FINALLY made the pitcher pay for it.
Before you guys start saying “He’s coming around”…………….lets see Francoeur hit 2 or 3 more homers in the next week. That was Francoeur’s first homer since the Chicago game 3 weeks ago when he hit one off of Kevin Gregg.
It’s Good Francoeur Hit A Homer But A Bad thing In that He will Think He Is Willie Mays Hayes from the Second Major League In That “He’s A Power Hitter Now”
With All The Complaining About BSPN Calling The Game Tonight…Makes me glad That I get To Hear Chip…If he stays away from the Cubs He’s ok to listen to…
About Frenchy…I am not trying to suggest he is back or anything. But I really think that his glove is more valuable than the other players the Braves have to replace him right now. I think the trade off by putting Diaz in there defensively offsets any improved offensive numbers he may put up, and I think it’s debateable that he is an upgrade offensively after watching him last year when he did start every day. If Frenchy could only just get on base more frequently, I think he would be fine. The power can come from other spots in the lineup, too. It’s not just him that is underproducing from a power standpoint.
You are not supposed to mention the obvious but Chip is just running off at the mouth like a rookie announcer. He must not have watched the nmovie ” Fight Club”!
Pennski………..Just like I dont get too “down” when Chipper goes 0-20 (after all, we know that when Chipper busts out of he………he will hit more than 2 homers a month)……….I dont get too excited when Francoeur hits a homer. I remember when the WHOLE board lit up 3 weeks ago when Francoeur hit that homer against the Cubs. Many of you were proclaiming the slump over it.
Well, three weeks later, Francoeur finally hits another one, and many of you are saying “wow, maybe this will propel him and jump start him. After all, he’s been hitting the ball hard, lol”.

Point is, I need to see far more than 1 homer every 3 weeks.

Just as Braves were announcing that Kawakami has a contusion to the right base of his neck, Francoeur goes deeeep.
No X-Rays on Kawakami, he’s day-to-day.
